You’ve completely remade that one! It’s beautiful. I’ve worked with enough bone to know it’s much harder than it looks. And the smell when it gets hot from the saw! (Whew)…You did an excellent job! As usual🤗 well done!🐝🤗❤️
@@1339LARS Yes, that’s true… one of the worst is deer antler… man, I used to make buttons of them for my leather bags. It almost wasn’t worth it lol🐝🤗❤️
I love all the manual powered things that you use it's amazing we look back and people did amazing things and it didn't have the automation that we have today and you're just bringing that back I think you deserve a lot of credit to restore that knife what you did it took a lot of effort
The reason I was enthralled with this restoration remake is your use of vintage tool and no electrical machinery of any kind. Your metal skills are on a similar scale to a wood craftsman call Mr. Chickadee. You both prove that the old ways though maybe not as fast they are a more satisfying way to create a work of art. And it’s wonderful to watch. Thanks for the video.
that has to be your toughest and best work to date, it has come out absolutely superb, all those things you have learned have certainly showed up this time, well done, quality job
Wow Boris! You’re amazing! A complete rebuild and it looks fantastic. So impressed how you can get all the contours of the blade and the liners so perfectly with hand tools. Always a pleasure to watch. 😊
Well at least some of the original knife made it back in, it looked like the old pieces were going to only be patterns. Kudos for your skills and workmanship on the project. Thanks for sharing. 😁👍🇺🇸
This is the most impressive work I've seen you do yet. Not to say your other work isn't impressive as well. The skill you have with the most basic tools sets you apart from other restorers for sure. Very nicely done Sir!
From literal trash..to a usable daily tool, awesome!! The "imperfections" of the handmade finished product is pure character & sweet eye candy😍 Amazing work brother..everything is done how our Great-Grandfathers worked...with a will, they handcrafted the way! Absolutely got a sub from me!!💪😎👍
Quite lovely! I wish you had more subtitles that explained your work, e.g. what you used to tumble the pieces in and how long it too. Thank you very much!
This looks more like a rebuild than a restore because most of the original knife was too far gone. It was still impressive the way that you rebuilt that knife with hand tools.
Beautiful work! All I can Teri you about the knife is that it probably dates to the 40s. The Solingen conglomerate generally made parts for numerous manufacturers. With just “guaranteed steel” and “made in Germany”, there’s not much more to discover. But, your knife is far higher quality than the original ever was.
Me encantan sus videos, son muy entretenidos. Siempre que va avanzando la restauración, me pongo a pensar que haría yo y trato de adivinar cual será el siguiente paso antes ver el resultado. This is not restoration. This is remaking. But you have kept me amazed since day one with The manual workshop. Cannot overstate how relaxing it is for mw
Thank you, I appreciate that. Unfortunately I have not inherited tools from my grandfather. I was actually collecting them for many years now (still doing that) to replicate a workshop from my grandfather. Thanks for asking!
I don't think you can call this a restoration, this is a complete remake. Some might say you are a knife necromancer because you brought that thing back from the dead!
As usual, it's a great job. I love it. May I ask you to keep the old clothing style? it helps to keep me in the old years. but of course, it has no effect on how wonderful is your work.
Thank you for the kind comment and asking about the clothes. I stopped using the clothes because of hate comments. I receive a lot of rude comments for clothing used in my videos and some of them are comparing me with the clowns. It is very sad but that is our society these days. I do not promise but will try to use clothes in the near future again! Take care!
Nice video! 👍 For the Stone washing you cold use Wind or water Power so it can run over night. So you could get a better result for such long time consuming steps.

Completely and utterly astounding! Honestly, i am a 60 year old woman with zero interest in knives or weapons, but your work is just fascinating.
Wow, thank you so much ma'am!
Very kind of you 🤗
I'm surprised the metal didn't break right away with how rusty it was, great job, the bone handle looks great on you!
Same here, it was intense. Thank you so much!

Google only says it's a Garatine Stahls corkscrew knife. Circa 1920-1940 and similar sell for between $30 and $40 USD. Hope this helps a little.
Wow, thank you so much sir!

Thank you so much sir. I was skeptical at the beginning but decided to give it a go. It turned out nice at the end.
