i am so happy for you ezra. great piece of property you have there. that building is going to make a great shop. we have been planning our new shop for quite some time. i am putting 2" insulation on top of my base, then rebar and under floor radiant heat tube. my shop is spray foam insulated. it is fantastic. my new shop will be as well. it stays just at 50* throughout the winter without turning the heat on. i can work in there until about 2:00 in the afternoon before it gets hot. look forward to seeing you make this place your own. couldnt be happening to a more hard working, deserving man.
thank you mr smith. spray foam is a must. its not cheap though. my current shop is spray foamed and i wouldn't go with anything else. i was planning on insulation under the slab as well im kinda on the fence about floor heat though. iv never had floor heat and i don't feel like im missing anything but everyone says its worth it.
@@Ezrider359, I really like my floor heat! Central Iowa. So not quite as many frigid days as you. Not a cheap install, but so far, annual maintenance isn't out of hand. Like J.C. said, that'll be a nice shop space. Carry on !
Congrats! That pole barn will be awesome! I always enjoy the videos. we spray foam 2” on walls and 3” on ceiling painted flat black with white tin on bottom 8’ of walls. I love it I’m just missing a good floor drain
Hi Ezra Good to see you back , that's a nice piece of ground no doubt you'll have it looking great in time and make good use of it all the best cheers "RB" Albury "downunder"
I'm sure it can be overwhelming BUT you're already off to a great start Ezra! 😎👍 You really helped yourself out early on for getting all your ducks in a row. You have the trailers and equipment to do all of the work needed. Those skid steer brush hogs are NICE! Gunna make one nice shop my friend 🔧
I'm sure the 10 years it sat in the weeds didn't do it any favors. By the time I would have had it a good reliable car I would have likely had as much money in it as it was worth. I was happy to get $300 out of it from the junk yard.
That's pretty awesome. Having that as a drive-through shop would be perfect. I wish you made video a bit more often, i really like how you do things and your outlook.
O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸 You got land in KY? WOW! The land should give you plenty of room for some big trucks. Get rid of that old house trailer & use the frame/axles under it for something else. Are you eventually gonna move your shop to this new place? That might be a great idea! I thought you were renting that other shop, so this is a chance to own your own shop & plenty of land! Great stuff, man! Blessings my friend.🥰😎✌️
the land iv got in Kentucky isn't very truck friendly its in the appalachian mountains have plenty of acers there but its dense woods and steep terrain. i rent my current shop. the plan will be to move into this shop but its going to take a while to get it ready before i do that.
Watched the entire video. Era, it is really great to have you back in UA-camLand. Nice property purchase too... located on the scenic shoreline of Gardner Lake. Focus on the pole barn shop. It reminds me of Diesel Creek shop build and that turned out excellent. As an additional thought.... James Pretty has too many trucks and perhaps you can make a deal on the Kenworth Aerodyne which has very high value UA-cam subscriber content and you get a working truck out of it too. Keep up the effort. Thanks Bro.
I rent the shop that iv been iv been working out of for 10 years. That property is for sale but they want a insane amount of money for it. So that's part of my motivation to get a new shop if someone buys it they would either have to raise rent substantially or they would be buying it for there own use either way I'd probably have to move. I'm still going to keep the current shop for a while or until something changes
I’m glad that you got your own shop. It’s too bad that the trailer is in such bad shape. Maybe another newer single wide might be a good idea. This way you have a place to clean up. If you’re working on a project you could use it to be able to fix lunch, or even sleep over if you have a quick turnaround between runs. The main point is that it likely has a septic system and well. They’re both very expensive to replace. The second 14’X50’ might be useful to keep equipment like the skid steer out of the way of your tools and working area in the shop.
Hope you got a great deal on your new place. Hell you would be looking a couple of million dollars for all that land here in California. Sweet place brother
Great video Ezra. That building will make a great shop, especially as a drive thru. Put a pit in it, it will pay dividends as you get older 😊. Land is seldom a bad investment. That land looks high and dry 👍🇺🇸
See if the local fire department wants to train on that old home. They may come burn it down for you. Much easier to clean it and remove it once it’s a fire pit. Congrats on the Porperty. This is my goal the next few years to buy my own yard to build a shop on it. A place to call my own.
Nice property. I know it wouldn't happen. But it would be cool to see Ol Red and Little By Little next to each other (when LittleBy Little is done. You and Twinstick Garage are my favorite channels.
So that's what you've been up to since you've been away from UA-cam nice where is it located are you still in North Dakota or is this someplace else. Looking forward to your upcoming videos on updating or upgrading this property and pouring concrete in that one pole barn it's really cool glad you're back.
HELLO!!! Glad to see you back. Maybe the old Camry could be a great small first project in the new shop, before you start remodeling it. Greetings from Brazil
@@Ezrider359 Folks still asking like 15-1700 for that car here 6 grand if it runs. Used market is insane right now. Whether or not they get that or not is another matter.
It's a beautiful area. If it wasn't for trying to earn a living and my equipment set up all wrong for the region it would be tempting to move down there. I'll say the logging trucks that were coming out my County maintained road near my property have balls of steel. My brother and I bought ajoing land we have around 30 acres of raw land
Hey EZ, congratulations on the New Property Purchase. Check with the Local Town, City/Township/Borough. See if your Property Taxes can be reduced by removing the House Trailer. (Not sure how that works in ND)
I doubt there is any taxable value assigned to the trailer house there both commercial zoned properties. Trailer house isn't currently hooked up to any utilities and obviously not inhabitable.
The mid century light fixtures in that trailer are in good shape. Those wall fixtures and the kitchen light would bring some money on ebay. There's always people looking for genuine mid century stuff. Rest of it's garbage though.
Can't wait to watch the videos on updating this property Ezra! Great to see you back
It's good to see you Ezra! Thanks for the video! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Great to see you again. Big project good luck with it
Your own shop on your own property cant beat that.
Congratulations on the new property

Glad to see you back looking forward to more videos
Man, a free Camry, you got to save it Ezra! Great video, nice to see you back on here, good luck with the project!
I know that's right! If it's not rusted out too bad, I'd keep it and slap a transmission in it. Transmissions for these cars are pretty cheap.

Congrats! Youre living the dream! I want to get out of NY and get some land, and build a shop.

Before you do concrete put radiant tubing in. You'll never have to crawl on cold concrete again. Did it in mine and love it
Everyone says that I dunno iv never had a heated floor never really felt like I needed one. I might still do it though

I know it costs lots of money, but maybe consider a drain or 2. How about a heated floor? Only one chance.
Floor drains are a must when you pull stuff in covered in snow and ice
So glad your back

Congrats Ezra!! Your hard work is paying off. Is the trailer suitable for a temporary storage or office space during the construction of your shop?
the person i bought the property from had been using the trailer house as storge.
Alright, brother ,Coffee on! New Shop walk about! Cheers!;-)!
That old trailer, got a match?
When the fire department shows up try to distract them don't want them putting it out
Concrete the floor and spray foam the walls and it will be a perfect shop.

there's probably a few things worth salvaging. but not much.
Damn if I was closer I would take that trailer frame & start over.
I'd give it away if I could. The problem is it would have to be demolished onsite it would fall apart if you tried to move it whole.
👍👍
man i wish that was my garage dam
Gratz
Like you said you could use it for storage for now .
A guy can really never have enough storage.
I think I saw that trailer in Kill Bill
Man EZ, glad see ya. Been awhile. Cheers…
