I haven't broken a single part of the Agama yet. I also ride without the VRP kit because I live in Europe and I don't think it's needed on these tracks. Parts availability is now also very good in Europe, many different dealers already have the complete Agama range. In any case, I am very satisfied and will continue to drive the N1.
Nice review of the N1e, I was always curious how it drove, I've never seen one in person.
The Agama is a really cool looking buggy. I know it's just shock towers that are missing, but I really dig the look.
And seeing Easly RC is cool, the Hobby Connection was the first place I got into real RC racing at. Went from stock 1/10 short course eventually to 1/8 buggy and truggy there. Did a few races at S&B as well before we moved. Glad they're still going, and the track looks great
I've had the same Losi 1/8 scale for 10 years now. It still does fine. When I do decide to replace it, I can't see myself buying anything other than Losi or Associated because I can get those parts fast and easily. The only way I might consider something like this Agama is if it is alot cheaper. I bet it isn't cheaper though. If it isn't cheaper, faster, stronger, or easier to get parts, then who is this really for? Pros?
Retails for 900 new Zealand dollars. That's like 600 usd
With the internet you can get parts for anything in 3-5 days. A lot of times hobby shops have to order parts anyways.
My friend and I attended the UK nationals this weekend, he runs an N1 nitro and it's a lovely piece of kit. They drive really well on the UK tracks with less bumps and smaller jumps.
The agama looks cool with the lay down shocks and on some tracks what i heard and seen during races from youtube they work real good.
As Roach say the concept is not new and tested on multipple 1:10 buggys and touring car with various result but the concept is not deamed as useless otherwise it wouldent be used.
tho its more easy for the general manufacturer to use normal stand up shocks as its probably cheaper works good in general and the designers got more knowledge how standing shocks works as they have had like 40 years to perfect that design.
What Roach also touching on is the parts need to be more avalable in general hobby shops so the cars dont get the lable of problematic to get parts and agama on the used market gets deamed.
Also a strategy to get agama on the market is not only to show them of in the hands of a few pro drivers but also decent to good drivers at the local tracks and lower level races to show the Agamas is a choice just as good as the other brands on the market.
That way it is posible to attract new to the hobby as well as more established drivers to take the leap over to agama.

Very interesting, I'm looking to get back into rc, 12 years ago i had the agama a8 nitro but they had more usa distribution/presence then than now... The n1e looks very sweet, i might wait for the 10 th scale to release or go with xray '24 design of yokomo...... Ugh so many great choices in the market.

Laydown shocks were used in the 80s by tamayia in the hot shot. Had one and it always went through rear diffs.
from the UK, Tenth Technology or team Xtreme X10/X11 formerly used the horizontal damper in the 1/10 buggy which seldom nowadays people have put it side by side with the N1 platform, they both look great!!!😍
Nemo are currently working on a 1/10th scale laydown shock buggy. I saw it this weekend at the UK nationals. Looks great!

Mola mucho este Agama. Es esperanzador ver que aun hay marcas que busca diferenciarse y busca evolucionar el RC. Otra cosa es el resultado que obtengan. Para mi la combinación perfecta sería: un Sworkz Euros Edition con esta geometría de suspensión.

Is this a kit you would recommend for a beginner? If not what would you suggest? For more info I race at ROCCK in Knoxville if that makes a difference in the kit I should get.
I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner in the US. I would recommend either Tekno, Team associated, Mugen, and Sworkz
Thanks for the reply friend probably saved me some headaches! Just thought the agama looked cool and different and didn’t want to run the same as everyone else but not if it’s going to be a problem 😂
Not sure if I've seen an N1 without the VRP kit on it. I can't find anything that says their drivers can't run it 🤷🏻♂️
Just ordered a n1e are you still running your one ? I've gone for emulsion shock caps that's what I know from10th scale have you had any other issues was the car now?
I would make sure to get some wing mounts. That's the part that's most likely gonna break
And yes I still run the n1e
I race with alot of agama driver and they all have said the same thing the stock car sux and needs the vrp kit or get another buggy

shocks seem like a lot of weight to put so high. 5:00 WHAT??? a blind person can see how high the cg is

The truggy should be coming out later this year
It is in the works, but I believe Nemo are concentrating on the 1/10th 2wd buggy as it's a bigger market in the UK.
