It is super cool that there finally is a bike with a serviceable motor! I think it's a big deal and I hope the market will tell the companies that this is the way to go. Unfortunately I don't think it will, because without massive marketing and sponsored GMBN "reviews" payiong them to praise it, a lot of people most likely just think it is normal that a motor runs out of support after 2 years and you are left on your own because you are supposed to buy a new bike instead of keeping your current one running.

It looks like this swingarm should allow to use belt with gear hub instead of chain

Very good point! I never considered going belt-drive. But if I did, I would look at something like this, Orange or the Ibis Oso.

Are you going to do a long-term review of this bike? It is really interesting although too expensive. And it is just not acceptable to put that fork on such bike.

Just returned the bike. Don't think I'll get it back again. But I plan on testing the Siryon.
Yeah, Pike Select was a bit surprising. But okay. It's a fine chassis. Swapping the damper unit isn't way too expensive I think.

When it comes to light/super-light e-bikes, I would only go for one that has a removable battery. An EASILY removable battery.
    Why? Bike park laps.
I don't really care if my bike is 22+ Kg when I am riding around on trails, but I would prefer a light(er) bike, closer in weight to my Nomad 5 (15Kg).
A super-light would be great to self shuttle. Do 2-3 laps, swap battery, continue going.
Unfortunately, most of the light bikes I know of have batteries that are a pain in the butt to remove.
So I am either stuck pedaling my normal bike up, or riding my Bullit, which sometimes just feels like a steam boat.
So ... still on the search for a long travel super-light e-bike for park laps.

The Trek Fuel EX-e has a detachable battery, but it's hardly quick and easy. There are two allan bolts holding the battery. Sooner or later, you're bound to lose them when taking out the battery.
But check out the Transition Relay. It will be well into next year before it's out. But it's got that detachable battery. Dunno how quick and easy it is removing it though. A 160/170 mm travel bike running the new 60 Nm Fazua.

100% agree on the removable battery.

But if it charges in 90 mins, do a few laps, have lunch with mates and hit up another few laps

    9000€??? WTF???

Yeah, a bike with a smaller battery and motor should of course be more expensive (: But oh well. Pretty much every emtb is surprisingly expensive these days.

It’s worth every penny and cheap compared to a similarly speced Specialized.

@@asifitmatters1 Some have tried having a slim sheet of gold over a stake, some have spent more on the extras of their cars than in the actual car, some spend hundreds on clothes they only wear once... I know overweight people that brag about how little their bike weights, how expensive their new sax is and they play like shit 'cause they do not practice hard enough... You may not be one of those, but I guarantee 90% of the ones that will buy this bike is just because they can afford it and will only ride it once a year. IT'S JUST A FUKING BIKE!!
