much thanks!!, i was having no sound in dp to hdmi adapter, i saw this vid and i got it to work, great channel!!. I'm running batocera on a lenovo thinkcentre i7 4765t 16gb ram and it runs amazing, cheers!
Thanks, also for me, it was really quiet, so I had to go into the sound settings a set system volume all the way up, so I could actually hear it at a proper volume from my tv
Yeah it can. I never use kodi personally for anything else but it does have those additional options that can be a help. I had a build a while back actually it was my first batocera build and I went through all the audio options within batocera with no luck. The kodi options were the ones that worked for me.
Hey buddy, do you know how to make Batocera send audio out through the stock speakers on an arcade automatically? Every time I turn on the PC the sound comes out through the PC speaker and I have to unplug the jack cable and plug it back in to make it work. This is so annoying since I have the PC inside the cabinet.
While I do have sound, I can't get my sound bar and my two 4 inch speakers to run together on my arcade build. I have an HDMI audio extractor running from my Pi5 to monitor and sound bar is linked via Bluetooth to BATOCERA. I've messed around with audio settings in BATOCERA and Kodi hoping to resolve the issue, tried a USB to 3.5mm soundcard as well as another audio extractor and am stumped but it kinda works out cause I can play the top speakers at night since it isn't loud and sound bar when everyone is awake. I'd much rather find a way to fix it though than to settle or invest in more equipment.
I set this up on an old Pi3, selected HDMI sound worked in menu but not in emulators. This was on a brand new install. Really odd shame looks much nicer than Retropie.
I have aproblem with my batocera. All of a sudden some emulators, like SNES, N64, Gamecube stopped playing sound ingame. Other emulators have sound running fine. The Sound in the batocera Menu is working fine as well. In ideas, please?
Hello, have you made a tutorial on batocera not connecting to external displays? I use a usb flash drive and a laptop to emulate and use batocera, I want to connect and use batocera on my TV by connecting a hdmi cable to my laptop and TV. When I go into settings and change the video output to hdmi, my laptop screen goes black but doesn't send any signal to my TV. I am sure that the cable or the hdmi ports aren't the problem. So do you have any idea on how to fix this? Thank you
Why can't I do the same to connect my xiaomi airdots? In system settings the audio output only shows me the two hdmi outputs of the tv my pi 4 is connected to. Nowhere does it give me the option to pair a bluetooth audio device. Help me!!
Hi just wondering if you have a fix for my problem the in game volume is VERY quiet but the “menu” volume is normal … meaning when you go into the game I have to turn the volume right up … then when coming out of a game it’s SUPER loud it’s very annoying … do you have a fix for this ? Cheers
@@rayzor196 I had a similar problem. In the main menu, trying pressing up on the right stick if you are using an Xbox or ps3 controller. It should change the system output. I noticed I had my volume around 40%, which I set accidentally because my preview videos were too loud.
Try switching your audio output source or audio profile. I've found the audio to be tough to get connected more so than the last one. Didn't have garbled audio but had no audio for several boots.
This was very helpful thank you. I have an 8BitDo pro2 which was working up until I updated Batocera to the latest version(10-31-2023) not sure if is the blurooth dongle but I can’t get the controller to pair up. I go to the settings and pair device manually and it just stay there “looking”
I have direct evidence that the linux driver just doesn't work with AMD cpus. I have exactly the same launch box / arch linux set up I tried ALL the settings, nothing works . I bought a expensive audio card that works with linux but it fails exactly the same way on my AMD machine but works completely perfectly on my intel machine. I have the focusrite Scarlett Solo and now my emulator finally has working audio on intel i7 old school dell optiplex and now I have a 100% working emulator.
"I guarantee you you're gonna solve it by following this video" not sure where he got the confidence to say that. doesn't work for me. the first time I installed and ran this os, it had music sound etc. but after a night's sleep it does work anymore no idea why, i tried reinstalling it and following this guaranteed tutorial but it still doesn't work. any more ideas anyone?
Check when this video was released...it used an older version of batocera. The process is different for the latest versions of batocera which is likely what you're using now. Go to output audio type and switch that around. If using hdmi it'll be one of the hdmi options listed.

Thanx bro! Your video helped me a lot. 🙂
🥴 i was trying to figure this out last night I couldn't get the audio to work but i never restarted it 😅 Hopefully that will fix it Thanks----👍
Oh my gosh, it actually worked!! I thought my raspberry pi or HDMI cable broke.
Thanks, this was quite helpful... didn't know kodi would offer operable configuration options

Thank you! Worked great!
Thank you kindly, Kodi changes worked for me finally!!!
Excellent! It can be a process but works in the end. I find that batocera 35 is easier than it used to on previous versions
Thank so much that work perfectly man
It worked straight away thank you
Bruh! You're a lifesaver!
Thanks a lot
It works fine now

I'm using HDMI now but I have a focusrite audio interface with two krk rokit 5s. If I hook the focusrite up to batocera will it recognize it?

My system does not have a custom option nor does it prompt reboot when I change audio output settings.
Same here i use a elitedesk 800 and the music refuse to play in anything but the built in crap speaker in the pc.
I have a mini PC where I have sound on the windows side and sound at the opening of Batocera but then nothing. No music in menu or games.
Hey buddy, just wondering did you fixed that issue if yes how?

As far as I know Bluetooth audio devices are not compatible with batocera

I did a build for a friend and set the music to nothing but Daytona at full blast

My issue is that I am using DisplayPort from my pc to my monitor (my monitor has speakers) and there isn’t an option for display port
I've used a display port it just registers as hdmi may take couple boot cycles to connect but for me in the end it did
After applying the latest update my sound is garbled. Any ideas.
