I think days should last 40mn: 20mn morning and 20mn afternoon, then night lasts 20mn. then there could be specific differences in events between morning and afternoon along with evening, for instance plant gathering: blue and white berries could ripen at night and reveg during the day, red and yellow only during afternoons, and green during mornings. We could also have more types of mushrooms foraging that also depend on time of day. Monument scientists could also work shifts, and it would randomly change every new half day period, with different shifts for night time as well. I think the reason many servers disable weather is like how many disable night, they feel they don't contribute positively to the experience. Make night great again, make nature mysterious again, give us more reasons to explore and survive in various fashions! I would also like to see special rare biome with their own specific weathers so we could have terrain gens like big vertical ocean cliffs you can't climb nor fall down without dying with extreme storms and huge waves crashing against the peninsula cliffs, could also happen around lighthouse if it spawned a bit more in water rather than on coastlines. Since there are two lighthouses, one should spawn on the shore and the other should be a bigger one that spawns on its own rock island surrounded with deep water. So many more stuff are possible with the terrain gen, facepunch pls hire me as game designer consultant XD
Now they need to let us build inside the ground like old rust, where placing a foundation that glitched through the terrain cleared the terrain above it. That nerf was the updated I hated most in rust entire history.
They should add anti-material rifles with two variants. The player-made should be a scrap PTRS rifle and the loot reward should be an M82A1 or something. It would be neat to have an alternative to Rockets and C4.

I also liked hJune's input on the topic, it would definitely be interesting to have worthy treasures down there, stuff like AKs, HQM, and tbh they should add GOLD to the game, as a crafting ingredient that is really hard to find and is used not in OP ways but for swag and construction, lol, maybe some fringe electronic components too. perhaps an alternate bandit camp economy. or rework fishing villages to be real pirate towns and make it useful there.
