As a former Marine infantry NCO and LAV-AT VC its always a welcome sound when you hear the Cobras' comin in for support. Those snakes make a VERY distinct sound when commin in and a VERY distinct sound when the cannon & rockets come rollin in at the hajis'. Semper Fi Marines. Bout damn time we get sum new equipment to kill with. Now if we can get a gas piston M4 upgrade we will be good to go..

@TheCrazyJungleMan All I hear and read everywhere is that funds for Sea Apaches or the USMC weren't apporved, and that the AH-1Z was chosen instead.

The biggest thing, which isn't mentioned, is the new AFCS digital fly by wire system and side controller, which is derived from Comanche. Also used in Block III Enhanced Longbow. Huge change. Dwarfs all the other differences this seems to focus on. Between that oversight and the nasty jaggies in this video, I'd say this piece was rather shoddy.

I notice a bunch of people are on here basically saying how awful America is and nothings right. So why dont you move to Afghanistan and fight our military and see how much we actually have compared to other places. We could be in an economic recession much larger than our own in Europe, in war like the Middle East, corrupt Russia, or Communist China. That's it for options besides Canada with huge taxes and smaller 3rd world countries. So, you guys need to FIO and quit bitching all the time.

I find it stupid that when someone posts "battlefield 3" in the comments, it gets thumbs up. But when someone posts "call of duty" it gets thumbs down.

army trumps the usmc for pilots. the woft program has pilots truly specialize in the field, whereas marine aviators are forced to commit to other administrative duties which hamper stick time and overall mastery; where precision helo piloting is the difference between life and death for the grunts on the ground. just wishing the usmc would invest in some sort of woft program, where pilots are committed to nothing but flying, and everything else can be left to some other type of flight officer.

Ok, let me get this straight..100 cobra zulu copters that can actually back ground forces up costs far less than 1, and I mean 1, F-22 raptor?? We are in dedicated ground conflicts where air support is primo to saving troops lives, but we are spending billions on a futuristic air superiority fighter that has numerous design flaws....Fuck, how I hate the Arms appropriation committee. All Americans should hate them.

We're based on retail. And... selling a finished product yields generally more profit. (Compare the economy of china to the economy of kenya.) We also have the highest GDP in the world for a single country, only 2$ trillion less than THE ENTIRE EUROPEAN UNION. Our trade deficit is $50 billion, which seems like a lot until you scale it to the GDP of $15 trillion US, and then it just looks like pocket change. Unemployment = falling, GDP = higher than it was pre 2008, and inflation is under contol.

@teapartywins Yeah. The troops are smart. That's why Ron Paul gets almost triple the amount of military votes than all the other candidates combined. And that was when there were 7 candidates..
My friend is a veteran of OIF, and a proud Ron Paul supporter, because he understands the Constitutional grounds of declaring war and how our actions make people want to attack us.

Afghanistan and Iraq are likely to be the last operation of that kind conducted by the United States military. Clearly, it wasn't going to be as easy a process as our military commanders and former President had thought. It's hard to win a war, rather impossible, to win a war against a force that isn't uniformed. We can't defeat terrorism because it doesn't have one leader or army to wipe away, its an endless battle that the world collectively has to wage.

@TheRazorbackpilot Yea.. I used to feel the exact same way as you. That's before I actually read the Constitution and the advice of the founding fathers. They didn't wanted us getting involved in foreign wars that mean nothing to us. I'm sure you will argue that they started the war on 9/11.What you fail to realize is that our government has been the middle east since 1953 when we propped up the Shah of Iran over an elected government. We were occupying the middle east prior to 9/11.

@Marine5484 You don't seem to understand the depth of our problems. We are 15 trillion in debt now. For the first time in our history debt has gone to 100% of our GDP. We borrow 45 cents for every dollar we spend, and we print the rest out of thin air, destroying our currency. We don't produce anything anymore. All we do is borrow and spend. The only think that has kept us afloat is the petro-dollar, and the dollar's world reserve currency status. Those will be gone. Look up Zimbabwe inflation.

I think that upsets the american people is when are military is sent to places we dont need to get involved ie Iraq and others. We these young men and women coming home in caskets and missing limbs and we say for what? That what pisses off America.

@TheRazorbackpilot And even if this was a just war, it is moot. We are 15 trillion dollars in debt, are running a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit. We have to print and borrow almost half of every dollar we spend. There will be a day in the not too distant future when every tax dollar the government receives will have to go on the interest of our debt alone. The founders warned of this. We need to cut spending immideatly in welfare and military welfare abroad or we will collapse harder than the USSR.

  • @farscope
    @farscope 12 років тому

My question is why Iran? To be honest what you are saying is that we lost over 7,000 american soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan so we could invade Iran. If those people in those countries want change they should do it on their own like the people did in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. War with Iran is stupid in my opinion they don't pose a threat to us. America has been at war to long we need bring our military home.

@callofdutyguy9 im betting its to make sure there isnt an idiot flying the thing, i wouldnt want someone flying my multimillion dollar aircraft and crashing it into the air control tower. if you have a core class college degree (science math history etc) i bet your more likely to be picked over the guy without a core class degree, like if he has a degree in music vs. aerospace engineering, who would you rather have flying a helicopter? i would pick the engineer, he knows about his helicopter

I lived in Japan for 8yrs my father served in the navy Japan isn't democratic its Socialist. Yes we did good for Japan and Germany am not doubting that. But when we invade a country based on lies and false information is wrong. I like how we can have a proper discussion on youtube. Now we dropped the ball on Afghanistan now we are paying for it now. What we did in WW2 can't be compared to now we were attacked by Japan they declared war on us.

@teapartywins you have no idea about what your "great military" is doing. Protecting freedom? in the middle east? are you really that naive? since the war in iraq started, there aint no more freedom than before, there is even less. Your "great military" was the one, who supported Hussein 1980-88 when he fought the innocent Iran. Your "great military" was the one, who fought Hussein two years later when he wanted to fight Kuweit, that was also innocent, but not important for the US.

@panzerkilla I've read the Constitution, and the reality is that the founding fathers did not want us to get into foreign alliances- like France when the Constitution was signed. You can bet this is a just war, however obviously all you care about is the national debt, yes, I don't like the national debt, but you're obviously trying to tell everyone the obvious. Will we fall? No. I can gather from your statements you have an extremely poor understanding of the world and you need to grow up.
