Hey Sam and Angela!! Thank you for sharing information about solar. My husband and I are NOT tech people! We are old tarts that don't even own a computer, lap top or any other tech device except our phones. We will be looking to y'alls videos when we get our new/old remodeled, forever home to it's permanent place, to hook up our solar. Again, thank y'all for sharing!!
I have watched all your videos you have to offer & I very rarely comment. But Sam you make top notch videos. This vid, the vid where you attacked the wire harness in the beefin truck, just top notch I tell you. Thank you for all your hard work, time & effort.
For the upper and lower connections of those slanted 2 x 4's I'd attach those with some galvanized roof truss or even joist hanger brackets. You can find them to fit most angles you'd need. The way you have it attached with just a few screws isn't likely to hold for very long.
It will be nice to finally use these solar panels we've had for about two years! :) We bought a big set of "off lease" panels and have waited for a good use for them ever since. Never would we have known back then they would be used for this!

Sam when I saw you digging that hole, all I could think was welcome to Tennessee. Where I’m at in TN every other spot I try to dig in, I hit a huge rock. Between the rocks and red clay soil, it’s darn near impossible to dig a hole without some heavy duty equipment

The trick to putting water in a hole to soften the dirt is: Wait for the dirt to get soft. You have to wait a while. It's not an instant trick. Speaking from Arizona where the ground is rock hard and can bend a shovel unless you wet it.
think by the time you need to build the sheds for the woodworking and soap production youre going to need a posthole digger mounted to a tractor , basicly to be able to dig through the roots and rock in the ground , should be able to float the solar array , just need to ut a lot of weight on it to prevent it falling / being blown over would add a few pieces of wood diagonally in the frame to firm it up some and for the weight you could set the batteries inside it

Ka-Ching!!!!!! :) We'll be using these panels for our BLUETTI AC200P for the time being for our camper and power needs, but have dreams of a larger system!
I plan on building one of these on my property. I'm going to try to have it double as a firewood shed. Edit: Had no idea about Solar Noon. That will come in handy.
That's a really good idea to double-dip that chip! I may have to steal it. LOL Extra bonus is the firewood would further help to keep everything in place! Maybe you'll appreciate this, since you're also building on bare land. Isn't the hardest thing deciding where to put this stuff? It's so difficult working with a blank canvas and thinking of putting down something permanent! At least I struggle with it. The trick to putting water in a hole to soften the dirt is: Wait for the dirt to get soft. You have to wait a while. It's not an instant trick. Speaking from Arizona where the ground is rock hard and can bend a shovel unless you wet it.
