If you're an aspiring repair person or hobbyist, you need a good multimeter. A good entry level one is Fluke's 101 model. - amzn.to/3Mc4bXE . Most fluke meters are very expensive, this is their least expensive model.... Fluke meters still give accurate measurements, even as the battery is dying! If you buy THAT, or anything after following that link to Amazon, we get a tip. Don't buy anything you can't afford, all of our videos are free!
Klein makes very good multimeters that are much less expensive.
I seem to remember Site 4 having 7401s when new, unpacked and fixed dozens and dozens back in the day. Very popular game.
Make sure you clone the HDD to a SSD before you sell it, reliability will thank you in the long run.
It's not broke anymore! Great work Joe!
Bally 6803 power supply... very fixable, very rebuildable and don't forget very flammable...
Hey guys I know some people give you crap down here. I am a tech in another industry. You guys have my dream job. I have made a virtual pinball machine. Fixed ski ball machines and watching you guys is just fun. I learned the same way you did just RTFM and go at it learn on your own. Feels good to be both self taught and part of a community at the same time. Keep up the good work and thanks for letting us watch. HE DOESN'T HAVE TO FILM IT PEOPLE!
Nice work. Great save. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Joe!!
More arcade videos please.
You're a natural, brother!
Thanks
Arcade videos are shorter wheras the pinball ones are several videos long..ive heard it said from both Joe and Ronnie..oh and Donnie can speak Spanglish 😁
you have improved alot Joe :) the two of you keep it up.
Donnie’s gonna love that Coke fridge!!!
Always love seeing everything in the shop! A shot of the place full of games especially at night for some reason warms my heart too.
Joe's got skills
He can tell you what is wrong with a game without looking at it
its broke
Save the old arcades!
i love this style of video joe , quick and to the point , as much as i love schematics , this is just a great video style. but never stop making both kinds of videos !
Thats a very cool mini fridge/vending machine..ill have Fanta please☝️😁
I bought a new power supply for one of my machines and was shocked at the build quality it was dangerous, I returned it and rebuilt the old one which was so well made.
Using a screwdriver is perfectly fine for opening a box.
The tape is under tension, I use keys, philips head screwdrivers, etc...
It's actually safer too, as you have less risk of damaging what is inside the box.
There was one of these in the PX when I was in the Army. I was convinced it was a last starfighter type evaluation tool and whoever got the highest scores were approached for "special assignments".
I'm currently fighting a non-working atari Road blasters System one mainboard. I'm still going to figure it out and get it to boot. But your videos have certainly been helpful in diagnosing stuff. And Finally someone else who cuts stuff open with a screw driver!
Nice work Joe... run and gun as always! No messing around.. LOL
I thought the title said Somebody Farted!! Haha need to put glasses on people..great video Joey...dont part it out people part it in
That was fun.. thanks it ain’t broke
I feed this machine more than any other in high school and college. There were newer machines available to play but none still priced at ¢50.
Hi guys love watching the channel. It’s awesome you got Area 51 site 4 running again. I think I have played this game on holiday somewhere Awesome repair job. Well done on the Amazon thing that’s cool. So digging the Coca Cola fridge like it. Keep up the good work guys can’t wait for the next vid. 😀
Thanks for watching! we appreciate it
havent seen an Area 51 in ages. between that and House of the dead I couldve financed my own arcade. cant always save em all bone stock. you guys put er back together as close as possible, probably better than original
Site 4 is the sequel.
Yes. New Wave Toys did make a change machine.
Nice fix, Joe! That hard drive is squealing though! It's not long for this world!! Ron, that Coke machine is sweet! I bought a Dragon's Lair replica from them and it's amazing!
A hip-hop song came to mind when I saw the monitor... "They see me rollin', they be hatin'..."
I bought a new wave food fight cabinet and I love it.
Our Favorite Inexpensive Multimeter, the Fluke 101 - amzn.to/3QpknqS .... this is the cheaper version of Fluke's legendary meters which often get pretty expensive. It's a good quality one for aspiring hobbyists or electronics repair persons who want a reliable meter that won't give you false readings! This is an Amazon Associates link, if you buy anything after following that link we will get a tip, thanks for watching!
that Coke thing would look great on a shelf, does look cool
Did anyone ever own a 50 or 60 inch rear projection RCA TV circa 2000?
It was an awesome picture but the alignment required all these lines with all these little boxes and you had to manually adjust each of the 3 lines to make the lines of the boxes white, one at a time. Spent 8 hours one night aligning it and had a perfect sharp picture and the power went out and it went back to the original way it wS
Looks like Christmas time early at Joes with all those gifts 🎁 dropped off. Enjoyed the video guys 👍
memories of playing that game....This game is so much fun! 🤩
Yes they have a vintage change machine and just announced a cigarette machine. The arcade games are really high quality as well.
We finally saw Joe on cam, Ronnie it's your turn!
Hi Ron - New Wave do sell a change machine! 😀
I am 61 and can remember when a 16oz glass bottle of soda was 15 cents!
I dont buy to often from Amazon, but when I do, I use your link. :) Area 51, cool game. When I was in the Air Force I was stationed at Nellis AFB. Area 51 (Groomlake) the source of alot speculations. But you didnt dare ask anyone about it.
Thanks Ken!
Some of the work I do gets packed up and shipped off to Nellis and eventually makes its way to Groom Lake. It was humorous to realize the work we were doing was going to a place that didn't officially exist.
A mini change machine to go with the mini arcades there making
It reflects well on you that you didn’t immediately call it a “community”. Ironically, you seem to actually have one. 12:51 12:54 13:00
I'm one of those people that when other people start using a word a lot, I stop using that word. Also nobody called it community years ago, they would call it "hobby" or "Profession" or whatever so I'm more likely to use the old words, LOL
I used to hate that people called their game room their "mancave" and then I finally decided I would call mine a "Den" which is you know what people used to call it... but then I realized that a Den is the same thing as a Cave so I'm back at square one
Cool story time. My dad bought a Coke machine that was in the basement at an estate sale. I was pressed into service to help him move it. It was strapped to a refrigerator dolly with me lifting from the top and him from the bottom up the stairs. When we got it to the top I sat down on the couch, closed my eyes for a second and when I opened them I was in the hospital. They said I'd had a vasovagal incident.
Why is it that every death scream sounds like the death screams from you soldiers in Command & Conquer? :P
🤔 Do I spy with my little eye a 1970s Peavey 260 series amp sitting in the corner? 😎 Is it broke too? 😅 (not too breakable but definitely repairable if it is ☺)
That was a left handed screw driver Ronnie was using to open that box people..one of a kind..no knives here
2515 flybacks have gotten very expensive... And are hard to come by.
Hahah, the never-ending vending machine thing happened to me once. Sadly, there were only a couple of cans left, but I went past a few hours later, and it was still clicking away, still trying to vend the cnas that were no longer there. Wonder what caused it to happen?
It seems that a regular ATX power supply would've worked on this case?
Area 51 is such a great game
Let me tell ya, when I was a kid. If I went up to a Coke machine, hit the button and it just started spitting multiple cokes out!!!!! Dude I would have been in heaven! 😂. Lucky! Hell even as an adult I’d be pretty excited 😂. I’m a huge Coke fan (the soda). I have got to get me one of these.
Billy the Kid came in?? 😳
I've been watching local sites for a broken arcade machine to fix up
No Coke, Pepsi. They should have sent you a minature Ghosts and Goblins for the machine you just fixed.
No New Zealand Amazon link? Come on people👉😟
It’s broke
Keep your SMD solder paste in the coke machine
