I wouldn't say it's a day one farm unless you get a god seed on a mountain and an easily accessible lava pool, but it took me at least 3-4 days to find a village and gather the materials needed. By day 5, it worked like a charm. Just make sure you guys build it on a flat area first; I didn't, so they kept spawning outside the chamber. It's very good early game if you don't want to go hunting for iron in hardcore.
It is in fact a day 1 farm but only guaranteed with ianxofour's version. Check out his channel as he has one without lava needed and even records himself doing it in 1 day for proof.
How i fixed this design to work for me: leave the lava "blade" at the same height but make the "killing chamber" 3 blocks deep (otherwise golems will climb out) Place slabs all around the farm, i did three rows of slabs all around. I left the stairs for the zombie in case it dies and I need to put in a new one but placed torches on each step. Credit goes to my boyfriend who has played minecraft for ages :)
@@BricksterTrickster you need to spawnproove the area you can use a shovel to take of the upper layer of an grass block so they cant spawn on these blocks or just put slabs everywhere:)
A couple of notes that may be helpful to people. If your golems aren’t spawning. Get rid of the zombie and let the villagers sleep for one full night. The next night replace the zombie in the boat. This may or may not help. I think you can also open the trap door and it will block the view of the zombie for the villagers allowing them to sleep. If you do this, don’t forget to close it back so they can have the panic mechanic. If you have golems spawning in the wall. This is what I did to fix it. I placed a dirt block where he would spawn in the wall and made it a path block. It will still spawn there occasionally, but it’ll basically take crushing/suffocating damage until it is forcefully expelled out of the wall. This will not work on bedrock as the golem spawning mechanics are different. There is no panic spawning in bedrock. Instead it revolves around having at least 10 villagers with 20 beds and 75% of them need to have worked. So they have to have access to there work stations. Hope this helps everyone.
Fairly confident the answer is no. This is Java only. Village mechanics work different in bedrock. There is no fear mechanic and you need more beds and villagers, + you need 70% of villagers having worked in the last day to make it all work out. So for instance. 10 beds, 10 villagers and at least 7 of them needed to have worked in the last day.
If the spawns are super slow, make sure you have the trap door flipped down so the villagers actually see the zombie, I had a few spawns but i realized I didn't have the trap door flipped, its way faster now
Hey man, thanks for the farm It works well I had an issue and i think many of the viewers might also get this so olease consider reading my comment So my golems werent spawning in the water pit. My friend told me to shovel the area aroind the farm to prevent the golems from spawning. So around 6 to 7 blocks around the farm was shovelled and a golem still manged to spawn outside the pit however it was suffocating in a wall I wasnt sure of the problem but then i afk directly on top of the place where the zombie and village tunnel is. Suprisingly the golems are now spawning in the pit. So in brief, shovel the area around and afk directly on top of the zombie It should work Thanks for the farm and thanks for readjng this notice❤
For anyone that's having golems spawn outside, it turns out that the ground 8 blocks horizontally from the bed pillows needs to be at the height of the trap setup. If the ground is lower, it's within range for a golem to spawn there; if all the ground within 8 horizontal blocks is at the height of the setup they should only be able to spawn in the trap (assuming you followed all the other instructions). I had a lower bit about 6 blocks away from one of the pillows, and it was causing me this issue. I ended up going out to 10 blocks just to play it safe, and haven't had a faulty spawn since. Edit: having more experience in Minecraft as a whole now, you can also just put slabs on any ground that isn't high enough, and this will also stop golems spawning.
@@BLADEFF006 If you mark where the beds are (specifically, the pillow ends of the beds), an area at least 8 out from them - but about 10 for safety - needs to be at the top height shown in the video. If any parts of that area are lower the golems can spawn there. So if there are any lower positions, you can either build them up to be higher (this is what I did as I built the trap very early on), or you can otherswise spawn proof it (I don't know if spawn proofing works for friendly spawns, but if it does then slabs would probably stop golems from spawning on lower ground).
I use Java. Here's how I fixed the Golem not spawning in water. The main reason it wasn't working was my fault: The hole where the water is had to be mostly dirt blocks. The dirt path blocks only go along the hopper's wall. Also, be sure to shovel the dirt path 7 blocks out on each side of the edge of the hole. Finally, go into spectator mode to make sure there are no holes/caves underneath where you dug the hole if you don't want your golem to spawn underground.
This really good, but I had iron golems spawning outside the farm, so I extended by 3 blocks on the side there was lava, then added a small glass block (corners not filled with a zombie in it. Then I placed a block above it, I would do glass and put water in the small box. Then for the lava I put a fence on the hopper, then another on top of that. And extended them around so I could place lava and avoid spill. Hope this helped and rly sry if this is kinda confusing

Decent guide, though I feel like there are easier ways to handle the villagers and zombie (I know I built one of these a year or two ago, and I'm sure in that version they have you build a trench down to where the zombie would end up, put dirt blocks at the top of it, put a boat on top of the dirt blocks, lure the zombie into the boat then destroy the dirt, and I think with the villagers they just had a ladder for them to go down to the area before trapping them in there).
