I do my windows every year but I use my Cricut to cut out black card stock. I make it big by sectioning the image in design space. I put wax paper on the back over the entire window then lights. It works great.

TFS. I love the witch & stacked pumpkins. I would love to do that for my huge front bedroom window, but I would not have the patience for the projection process. 😁
Yeah, some crafters leave out how difficult & time consuming a projects can be. However, the end result is awesome. ✌🖤🎃👻

Thanks for letting us know how this worked for you IRL! I have some small-ish windows up towards the roofline of my house so I was planning to just cut out posterboard and construction paper, since they'll be taped to the windows anyway and I can use scissors instead of the exacto blades 😄

Nice explanation and demonstration of how this turned out IRL. The effect is great.

Oh, for the silhouette, how cool I like how you talked about the details what design to choose and use a box cutter.

Tfs. These did turn out great. I would like to see how the cauldron with the green bubbles turns out.

I'm so jealous of your covered porch and I can tell the rest of your house is amazing too. I love this style!!! I've done this project too and freestyled a picture I found in the Internet. It took about as long... I taped it to the window and after a couple of weeks my husband opened the window and wrecked it 😢.

These look great! Thanks for testing! Would you say the curtains are necessary for the effect? I'm looking for ideas for some tall shop windows where some visibility will be necessary.

Thanks! They do need a curtain or blind behind them for the light to bounce off but a sheer curtain would work and it would let you still see through the window!

Thanks! The house was built in 1915, and we just love it! I think we’re a little too far away for from each other for the pumpkin bread though! 😂
