Tom, Bleeding looks like you suffer stamina if you take an action. If, however, you have no more stamina then you must take a wound. Stamina are teardrop icons and wounds are heart icons. Great Review!
I am playing the Overlord in our campaign of this (we just got it last week) and I'm very sad none of my heroes played the Bard. I'm a music teacher and the first chance I get to play a campaign as a hero I know what class I'll be!!
A Bard character class is almost always a hard sell which is why it's almost necessary for game designers to give their Bard class in their game some very cool and unique Bard spells and abilities to make it attractive to prospective players.
Thanks for the Descent series reviews Tom, I really appreciate it. I just started finally to play the base game with a solid group. We're only two quests in but I am already planning what to get next. Normally I'd just in order but it really helps to know what's available and what each brings to the table.
Thanks for making these Tom! Just got to play after a *2 year* hiatus. I had forgotten how much fun this game is when it's not being a dust magnet, I had such a great play and I *lost*. So of course now I'm hunting expansions! Have you done any reviews about the Lieutenant packs or the Hero and Monster expansions? If so I can't find them....and I like the idea. One massively embarrassing loss *UP*! Err....nevermind, that stuff works for you guys but let's just call it a thumb.....
Was my favorite expansion as well. Well at least as overlord- bleed is horrendously helpful. And the story was more involving as well. This and Lair of the Wyrm are my favorite campaigns to run.

Just picked Descent up a month back and I am kicking myself for waiting so long to check it out. It's an incredibly fun campaign style board game and works as a companion to the more dungeon crawl oriented D&D board games and while I think the production values on the D&D board games is slightly better, Descent easily has the cooler game mechanics. Can't wait to start picking up the expansions. Love Descent 2nd Edition, so much so I'm interested in possibly checking out 1st edition thanks to the completionist in me.

I have only base 2nd edition game and all of the Lt. packs for it. Could you suggest a list of what to buy first through last?
