Thanks for the video, I just picked one of these up for $50 and it was filthy! I took the shaft apart and readjusted the gear on the top, also I ordered a new rocker switch for it. It literally took me 2 1/2 hours worth of cleaning! And there was lots of gunk in between the lid hinges on the top, I recommend you pay attention to those I took the whole assembly and boiled in water and then disassembled the entire thing and cleaned it by hand, of course, that's not including the electric kettle, which is not waterproof/dishwasher safe.

My daughter got one of these for Christmas and it caught on fire in about 2 minutes the first time she used it and entire thing melted while she went to get the fire extinguisher. Maybe the older models were good but the newer one my daughter got was pute garbage and almost burned their house down.

I just ordered a Oldie Midway popcorn machine 6oz. But I made a mistake I got a 8oz instead it's a pre-measure already. Can you still used this on a 6oz popcorn machine? Great background music perfect!

Thank you so much for this review! It covered everything I wanted to know. One question, I saw some recipes said I could put a sprinkling of sugar on for slightly sweet popcorn. Would that that go in with the kernels or sprinkled on popped?
