Hey Hap watch how Freddie reacts with the audience before he sings SOMEBODY TO LOVE at that same concert. Oh yeah and yet another great intro into the song SOMEBODY TO LOVE. Great reaction sir. I just love watching you. Much love to ya my brother. Take care my friend. QUEEN BEE
I'm glad someone requested this song , watch how Freddie floats across the stage , notice how quick he changes direction when he is dancing around , like a cat !
I love how Queen played Hot Space live! Sure the songs aren't as well known as the mega hits, but they really did a phenomenal job of transforming the dance sounds from the recorded album to a more rock sound at the live show ( though I love the studio album as well)
BEST #queenreaction is here. Yes it is. Every time. This was written by Roger tryin' to write 'dance' tune for Hot Space - he may have resisted, but gave us another masterpiece! Thanks Hap. Happy Day to All!
Thanks for bringing back the memories. I was there that day. I'm going to replay this. It's also great to hear you enjoying Freddie and the boys. Christ I was 21 when this concert was performed. I'm just about to retire in November. Where did all those years go? Thanks for sharing.
Milton Keynes is my most favorite concert.Raw power and full of energy from start to finish. Morgan Fisher was the extra keyboard player in this concert before Spike Edney.Freddie refers to his pink outfit at one point saying 'I'm not sure if he's AC or DC'. Cheers for your on going reactions.
Thanks Hap. I did forget this interpretation. Great ! Absolutely sideral ! For Monteal and the bandana and Freddie's going wild on stage. Roger and Brian told in the commentary of Montreal DVD that it wasn't uncommon that Freddi lost it. He would generally bite Brian's Red special or faked this. I also saw him put down amp. They all played like gods
Some of my many favorite Queen songs, every time I hear it I can't stop dancing, I go crazy. The album "Hot Space" was very undervalued in its time, which now begins to give it the real value it deserves, since it has some beautiful songs. There is another one that I also love and hooks me to dance, "Back Chat". Thanks for your reactions! Ciao bambino!
I wasn't a big fan of the Studio Album Hot Space, but when i hear those Hot Space songs performed live they are almost different songs. I wish they had done those songs like how they did them live. Hot Space would have been a much better album overall. Brian Mays guitar really brings out the rawness and punch of the songs live. The studio album bury's his guitar in synths pretty much, as well as relies on Drum machine sounds. They still could have had the funky and dance type feel to them that Freddie and John were going for, but also had Brian and Roger more pronounced in the mix.
“Action This Day” takes its title from a Winston Churchill catchphrase that he would attach to urgent documents. It was written by drummer Roger Taylor with an 80s robotic beat and classic Queen lyrics. Roger makes full use of the electronica associated with his Musicland: drum machine. Reinhold Mack, (a German record producer & sound engineer) played a synth sax solo. (Mack and Freddie were close friends. Mack's son Freddie Mack was Freddie Mercury's godson).
Oh my God I never heard OR seen this before but hearing the beginning of the Song. I definitely know some Queen songs just from clips where I could hear snippets of an song, this in particular I know because this Song (in the Studio Version) Contains Roger singing REALLY Low. AND THEN I HEARD HIM SINGING LOW HERE TOO WHAT THE HELL THAT KILLED ME, LISTEN TO ROGER AT 4:07 He literally sings in the deepness of my Talking Voice (Baritone Range) AMAZING never heard him Live singing so low, not even at a performance to Under Pressure Roger would go so low. This is like a duet between Roger and Freddie. 5:09 here you can hear the ''Lowness'' of Freddie's Talking Voice, Freddie is called a Baritone but since that right there (in Notes) is his Talking Voice, when I'm a Baritone and he is too then all that makes no sense. That's why after everything I noticed, Freddie definitely is a High Baritone. 5:09 so that right there is Freddie singing in his Talking Voice. 6:00 yes you have, you saw the whole One Vision documentary with Freddie talking normally. But yes Interviews you haven't done. As long as you will react to them SOMEDAY (probably after your Queen journey is over or something), I can accept it. I just hope in your lifetime that you just have seen an interview of Freddie once. As long as you want to react to it ''just not NOW'' but Someday, I accept that and can wait. 8:05, This is the same tour as the Montreal concert yes, Montreal was 1981 tho and this is 1982. But it's the Same tour. At Montreal Roger kind of wore THE EXACT SAME Things but the only thing that was different was actually the bandanna 😂 Montreal had a white one and here he wears a Red one but the shirt he wears for example is like exactly the same as in Montreal. But that's a thing I guess they did. In the beginning Queen always wore black and white, then later they would often go shirtless (well I guess only Roger and Freddie) and in here... idk (I think from everything I've seen, that this Tour has the most versatile outfits. The reason I think that is because everything I see from this Tour Freddie always looked different. Yes Roger wears kind of the same but Freddie always looks different). BUT THEN AGAIN, in 1986 their last tour, Freddie wore those belt jackets in many Colors, with white red gold pants and the best Adidas shoes on earth, Brian mostly wore white stuff as I had seen also with the Adidas Hercules shoes, John wore shorts most of the time from what I've seen and actually John Never wore those amazing Adidas shoes, then there was Roger wearing the same pants as Freddie just different Color on the stripes, same shoes as Freddie and with either wearing Tank top or Some different variations of shirts (just as Freddie but Freddie with the belt Jackets on). Idk, anyways I Love everything they wear. 8:35 I loved that transition from Roger singing to Freddie singing, that was so smooth, I don't even know if you noticed that they were having a duet 😂 9:55 Love Roger's duck face, also what I just noticed is Roger having some E Drum pads on his Drum Kit, E Drums back then were new so I think Roger kind of liked them and added them to his Drum set. 10:12 ye that's what I thought too, Sounded really awesome to me, it was like an Synthesizer Solo. Sounded to me like it came from Spike Edney. 11:30 just this part already sounds to me better than Another one bites the dust. Another one bites the dust is really boring to me, Compared to this Action This Day won in every way. 11:47 I don't think Roger just hops in the Vocals, I really think this is an Duet. If it wasn't an duet Freddie would sing the song with Roger singing the same words in making harmonies in background or something like that, but Freddie was saying a line then Roger was doing a line then Freddie one, just like a Duet. 13:01 if you said ''Brian probably doesn't like it'' Like I never heard Brian saying he LIKES it nor he HATED it. I think Brian Loved it because it gave him Power. I Heard words like that from Roger where he said when Freddie looked in his Eyes Roger would instantly go Harder on Drums just by the Look on Freddie's eyes, so I think Freddie engaging with Brian isn't something Brian hated. Especially even IF he hated it, now he would just miss it. I think he always loved it. Gahd just hearing this song the first time and I already *_LOVE_* it. I also loved Freddie talking in the beginning😂😂. I watched it the first time now with you together so, This Comment is kind of an ''first time listen first time reaction'' to your first time listen and first time Reaction 😂. Yep that's this Comment now, a Reaction to your reaction to the Song. But also my reaction to the Song😂 Anyways Great reaction, and I really think this is kind of an duet from Freddie and Roger. It sounded AWESOME. ALSO JUST FOUND OUT IT'S WRITTEN BY ROGER, AMAZING.
Your reactions are amazing. I am very happy when i see that you have a new video. You give interesting ideas during all the song, and you are not afraid of speaking your mind. I love that. As queen suggestions, i would request mustapha, was it all worth it, one year of love and dont try so hard. Have a nice day!
Saw this concert in a cinema :-) Can you image a cinema playing a Queen-concert ... that was a party! Everybody was standing, cheering, clapping and singing along! *awesome_fun P.S: Yes, it was a Synth, played by Spike Edney offstage! P.S.2.: If you want to her a saxophone on a Queen-Song, try out the lovely song "One Year Of Love" (Studio-Version) ♥
The synth was played by Morgan Fisher. He was the keyboardist for Queen on the EU Hot Space tour, then on the US and Japanese Hot Space tour it was Fred Mandel and after that from the Works tour to the Magic tour it was Spike Edney.
Just when I thought I had seen every available live clip on YT - how did I miss this? Did the Queen merchandise machine ever market his jackets? They are just awesome. Haven't seen one yet that I didn't want. Lordy, that's a handsome man. The song? Oh yeah, that was great too.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ Not surprised you have a lot left to choose from. I have been watching live clips daily for about six months now since I started my Queen deep dive online. It has been my peaceful place during the pandemic. I try to expand my searches as best I can. I understand why it's not your goal, but I'm always excited to find new concert footage with fun moments like the beginning of this one. I predict I will be on a Milton Keynes deep dive for the next few hours. Thank goodness my kids are grown and I get to pick my own background entertainment at work. Six months of at least two to four hours of Queen music a day is admittedly a whole lot of Queen. Not tired of it yet!

Yes! Very observant! Montreal 1981 Freddie's going wild on stage during Sheer Heart Attack in the white shorts and red bandana! Amazing concert....AND Milton Keynes as well!
Thank you!!! I can't believe you reacted to a Queen song I've never heard before. I agree with you - it does grow on you as it moves along - it is indeed hypnotic rock. But I also like how you notice things that I would otherwise miss - like Freddy turning to the beat of Roger's drums. It is a song that builds and you can see and hear everyone's contribution to the joyful noise. I agree with another commenter who recommended Queen's The Game. It's one of my favourites and I think it's hypnotic too. And I'd recommend the live version from the Montreal 1981 concert.
If you ever do want a good laugh or change your mind I recommend Freddie Mercury funny moments compilation 😂they are really funny he's got a great personality 👌👌but I respect if you don't want to
John Deacon is also wearing the same outfit he wore in Montreal 1981 but I don't think this was part of the same tour. For some reason I think they just happened to be wearing some of the same attire. Fred was the one that would change his outfits quite regularly. Hot Space songs were awesome live

All 4 of them had always shared each other's clothes, right from the beginning, with the exception of Freddie's outlandish costumes haha

Live versions were outstanding
What to say......i loved it! The song, the band, the reactor and reaction! Keep it up, it's such a treat to see in my notifications! Thank you.
This is why Queen had a hard time getting behind the iron curtain - governments were afraid of the control Freddie had over the crowd.
