While his voice work has improved, I liked the sound of a young man tearing his vocal chords out with his performance. It was raw and gritty. Not professional and refined, but still passionate and kicking your teeth in with the ‘don’t give a fuck’ of the early 80s Metallica.
Literally. Kirk's solos are incredible and he's criminally underrated! Even if the solos can be a little too wah heavy they always fit the tone for the song!! One of the many reasons why is he my favorite guitarist of all time!!

Just bought this vinyl yesterday, I only knew a couple of songs (battery, MOP, and sanitarium), and I really liked this album, especially Orion the instrumental, leper messiah was my least favorite, even though they’re all amazing songs, really one of my best purchases I’ve ever made!
