I am always interested in anything Duke and Duchess of Windsor. This is a video, of the auction, which I have never seen. It is great when new information "pops up" on UA-cam. I wish the quality of the video had been better but I'll take what I can get.
WTF!... His WORN OUT SNOT RAG fetched $1600...😂😂😂😂😂... That is totally and utterly outrageous! 😂😂😂.. I thoroughly enjoyed this very old tape.. Fabulous stuff!
My God how is the famous table where he signed the abdication papers for sale at auction. ??? It is outrageous. The government should at least declare it a national heritage asset not to be sold abroad. Unbelievable....!!!!
They all want to forget the whole distressing moment. Remembering that most of His relations were brought up to believed in Service and Duty to their people and that the Monarch had a responsibility to represent Goodness and Goodwill from the mid to late 19th Century with his Family through their prestige, could unite their people's. Many of his Family at that time, had been born on the mid 19th Century and with their upbringing couldn't believe He would let his people down. No Museum currently in Britain would want a reminder of it, and especially the stress the abdication caused his younger brother, who had to take on the Duty , which was major in sending George VI to an early grave. as did the World War II.Cheers, John (Australia)
I don't know how either one of them could have been truly happy when they always looked so miserable. Wallis of course was in it for the money and prestige and likely hounded Edward to get her the title HRH until the day he died.
What you state as fact, is in fact conjecture. Where do you get your information from? I’m sure most historians would like to share your sources with you!
For real a wedding cake!!! 🤦♀️ Do you know how many people who could help and feed with 25,000.00.. what is wrong with people. Here I purchased a new car and I ask God do I deserve this Because my family needs help.. Then I shopped for new cloths and got out to my car and had a panic attack because I purchased something for me and wonder if my trustee would make me pay some how in some bad way.. and here there people are throwing there money away on material things that's should not be sold because it's not there's to sell!
@@stellaburnell7947 May I also add; after the donation, to The Pasteur Institute, a major breakthrough was made in AIDS research. The breakthrough was made 3 to 5 years after the donation. I believe the donation amounted to approximately $50 million USD.
This is so sad. All their precious belongings scattered about....their home should have been turned into a museum. :(
Agreed. Who is getting the money for this auction since they had no children?
It has by Muhammed Alfied

I hope nieces & nephews ended up with the monies from this awful greed filled vulture fest.
The Duchess left the entire proceeds of her estate, to the Pasteur Institute in Paris - a medical research facility.
