Yea. I just gotta figure out the stabilizing for the walking around or perhaps use the GoPro for those clips. Or take my Ronin SC out for the first time. But then that’s just more equipment to carry around.
When installing my FTP hard pipe, my biggest fear was dropping anything into the inlet and destroying my turbo on my MCS 14. Luckily, FTP's pipe is made of two pieces, making installation easier. You should install a downpipe next. You won't regret it!
Nope. I read the press releases from MINI USA. That’s how I know the engine designations for the JCW Clubman and Countryman and so forth. I knew that for the LCI1, they went to a new turbo design incorporated into the manifold for lightness, they also lowered the front ride height slightly during that time. This may have been due to the switching from the B48 to the B46 since I think the B46 is slightly lighter. They also in 2021, went to a mechanical dynamic damper system instead of electronic.
Thanks for the information sharing. Slightly concerned about the plastic ingestion as I have a 2016 MCS B48 with 60k miles. Where did the piece of plastic come from? I'd like to prevent it if I can
Crank case breather hose. Broke a tab off when I was installing the forge hard pipe. Didn’t realize I had done it until I started the car and it was sucked into the turbo.
Love it 👍 you done excellent job car looking awesome love the white wheels no big fan of your tires personally preferred Falken or Dunlop. The sound it’s 💯 rally car 🏁🏁🏁 now we talking 👍
Turbo and exhaust sounds amazing! Are the pops/crackles still from PRZPerformance remap? Are there any issues with the PRZ remap? Also, have you considered the plug-in modules from tuning companies like DINAN for extra hp? I reckon they're not as good as having it tuned by a proper tuner. I own a '24 JCW MT and considering some minor tweaks to my car. Thank you in advanvce for your response.
The PRZ was disabled a year ago. I was having issues with the stability control with that tune. Those pops and crackles are just from removing the second cat.
Lovely car, great narration! You mention removing the "rear Cat without sensors". are you referring to the resonator? And I love the white wheels with the white 74 badge on your green.
No. On the stock exhaust you have a second cat and a resonator. If you have the pro exhaust, they eliminate the resonator for you, but not the cat. I had the cat removed so now it’s a straight pipe from the manifold to the muffler.
Man that white roof, green car with all the stickering and those white rally style alloys look very cool indeed!
It’s a cool look for sure.
Sounds amazing I must say 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Thank you 🙌
Amazing video quality. I think someone got a camera upgrade 😏

That sounds amazing!! Good job!
Thanks. More to come!

I’ll have to tune if I do a downpipe
I did realize that too 2024 F60 was B46
B48 and B46 were basically interchangeable
B46 was SULEV low emissions version of B48 that I think it was
Yep. The JCW Clubman and Countryman still came with the B48 as I recall since the B48A20T1 was what those cars used.
This video was so interesting ! Now I wonder if you had access to BMW TSB’s, if you would have found out about the turbo change.

@ you learned so much from
This project. Looking forward to hearing more in the weeds details
More to come for sure. May finally get adjustable rear end links to go along with the front adjustable and get the car corner balanced.

So if you break anything on that tube back there when installing an aftermarket hard pipe, be extra careful not to drop anything in the turbo.
Hey, amazing sound! Doesn't that have a lambda sensor in it?
Not in the second catalytic converter.
.your MINI is great, but I prefer the first stock silhouette of it. Bests.
Stock silhouette?
@ like the day you collect it from the MINI dealer.
Oh ok. Well I wasn’t enamored with the height. Lol.

I’ve found Falken and Dunlop to wear much faster.

what I want to know is... where did the piece of plastic come from that destroyed the turbo?
Crank case breather hose that I removed. Piece of plastic clip broke off and fell into the inlet.
@@TheMINIac That's interesting to know. Love those white wheels with the white roof by the way.
Thanks. Now if only I could keep things clean. lol
I own lots of Minis, including a F56 S tuning kit with JCW pro exhaust, and a F56 JCW, but sorry, to me the sound of your exhaust is horrible
Bad microphone placement. It was literally 2 inches from the exhaust tip.
I’ll do a better video of the exhaust sound when I can. That wasn’t my best audio of it for sure.
