Good video. The tarp tent is looking sharp it's nice that they reached out and offered some advice. I did the north loop last April I'm hoping to do the whole thing sometime in May.
I'm heading out for an overnight hike to Mt. Isolation, in NH this weekend ! Looking forward to it . I keep reminding myself not to forget the bug net .
Hawkeye Hikes, I’m just now starting to spread my wings a bit versus some short distance, way overpacked overnighters. Other than the AT close to home (south central PA), I haven’t been to many multiple day trails. I’m moving towards lighter weight and longer distances. Any suggestions with great views would be appreciated.
The first time I tried going the roads were all washed out and I ended up sleeping on the side of the road about 4 miles from trail head. It definitely gets wet up there!
"Pink Eye"... Nice:-) Good quality vid! Nice trail. The epic music at the stream crossing really made it seem like a tense situation, like a true hobbit-style adventure.;-)
Beautiful area to do some hiking and backpacking in. Thumbs up! Tuna is my go to food on the trail for lunch. Throw it in a tortilla along with some mayo and avocado, excellent wrap!
Tortilla wraps are next on our list to take. Hawkeye was saying that as we ate lunch. So easy and small to pack. And great nutrition that you need on the trail
Thanks for this! Going up there this weekend and wanted to get an idea for conditions. Ranger's office said mud in some areas and still a little ice but should have 60 degree weather all weekend. Looks like we're in for a memorable weekend!
Loved it. I’ll have to hike it this year as well it’s close to wear I live. I’d love to come on an overnight hike with you guys, I just bought all my gear this year and it’s something I want to get into a lot
That saw is cool.shelter actually looked in good shape.seems like fun was had by all
There was another shelter out there in even better shape. Only saw one piece of litter too, I was really impressed.

It should be nice and dried out by then. Have fun!
A must to do for me brother . really great video!
Fun video !
Thanks! Had a great time out there. Lots of fun, even that crazy crossing. Thanks for watching!

@@ItsGoodintheWoods that's awesome! Heard the ticks are bad in NH this year too. Don't forget the permethrin! Have a great time
Thanks ! Ticks are bad this season. However , up in the mountains I've never had one on me .....
I’m going to do this loop next week. Can’t wait to get out there. Looked like a few creek crossing. Really cool video bro 👍
Yeah definitely a few stream crossings and one big one in there. That's a bit of a drive for you right?
Great video!
Thanks. That was a trail I was really looking forward to and had a great time hiking. It lived up to its hype
@@HawkeyeHikes Old logger is high on my list. Good to know!
Really pretty area. I'm hoping to get of my state more this year but that is probably a little far away. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! I'm trying to get out a little further myself
Great video. I’m in PA and I’m considering making the trip to do this trail. Subscribed👍
Excellent! Thanks for watching. What are your favorite PA trails for backpacking?

@@WILDONTHETRAIL check out PA 183 to Kimmel lookout (AT southbound) makes a great out and back with views and plenty of camp sites
Hawkeye Hikes, I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the recommendation👍
Most of the OLP was a river the last time I was there.....

People don't let you forget when you get pinkeye your first time out!
@@HawkeyeHikes Bummer!
They also don’t let you forget taking your time to pack up in the morning lol
You’re making me want to start a UA-cam channel... been thinking about it for a while!
It's a lot of fun! Plus it's a good way to document trips so you can look back. Let me know when your first video drops!
Really good video man! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching

I was just saying I need to start bringing tortillas. I'm really missing out on some easy, delicious carbs!

@@jtravaglini Give it a try on your next adventure, these easy to make wraps are very good. Happy Trails!
@@HawkeyeHikes There are so many things a tortilla makes a difference with on the trail. Happy Trails!
Nice man did this trail early winter didn’t finish it water was really high where the long log crossing was under water looking to do it again in June
June should be OK. There was massive flooding last summer but that was later in the season. Hope you get out there and finish!
Can't decide between this trail or the Black Forest trail to do next.
Trail Time Black Forest trail is my favorite so far
@@trail_time black forest is on my list still. It's longer and a bit more challenging from what I understand
@@venturefree. Right on! I have a feeling it will be most similar to the Loyalsock Link loop, with more distance overall am I close?
Hey man, awesome vids. Letting you Know I'm totally subbing!
Thanks man! Been watching your stuff. Looking forward to collaborating!

Pretty muddy. A lot of seasonal crossings but the trail is in overall great condition. Have a great time!

Definitely. There are so many hikes in that area some rougher than others. Don't be afraid to get out and test the new gear a little at a time
Nice vid, that was quite a log crossing!! 😳🤪👍
i just walked across the foot bridge ;-)
