I don't know why you don't have more subscribers. Your videos are some of the best I have seen. I find them well made and enjoyable. They are informative and not over produced with music and other annoyances. Great job and thanks for sharing your journeys.
Very well done! Beautiful area - couldn’t get over how much it reminded me of Worlds End State Park and the Forksville area - turns out it right next door :-). Thank you!
Great video! That's cool that the Old Loggers Path has shelters now. I met you on the Loyalsock Trail a while back. (Jeff) A video of the whole 60 mile Loyalsock Trail would be cool. Keep the vids comming! Maybe our "paths" will cross again.
Hey Jeff! Nice meeting you on trail. Yeah, a thru-hike of the LT would be really nice. Ahh so many trails, so little time. I might have to do it in sections. lol
Great trip, looks like you guys a a nice time out there. No shortage of good campsites along this trail. That rock outcrop had a bunch of snakes last May when I did this one we had to detour around that spot. Beautiful area the Loyalsock State Forest doesn't disappoint.
Thanks, hope to do this loop mid September, sure hope the water sources are still good.I watched Frozens video and he went clockwise.Looks to be about the same
Yeah, there wasn't much water on Day 3. Luckily we found one source flowing just before the climb up to Sprout Point and we grabbed an extra liter there, and that lasted us the rest of the way out.
On this trip I am using a GoPro Hero 5 with a Karma Grip stabilizer gimbal. The gimbal gives a nice smooth picture, but unfortunately the in-camera audio is affected the sound of the electric motors. So that's why I use a separate audio recorder.
Thanks for the info Steve. Based on your comment I searched for calls of the pileated woodpecker, and I can definitely hear them in my video, just after the Doe Run shelter. But right after the woodpecker there is another call which sounds like a person screaming. It's very eerie and always makes me think somebody out there is being attacked. lol
@@davidfriedman7533 right, if you start at the Masten Camping Area and hike the in the counter-clockwise direction (same as in the video), then it's about 7 miles.
The map animations are from Google Earth, the blue trail line is usually something I download from AllTrails.com, and the red line is my recording of the hike on my Garmin watch.
@@downtoearthadventures1528 great video and maps...i just got a Garmin Instinct....what kind do you have...not sure how to use that feature but it is very well done...very cool
Mark, I've been using a Garmin Fenix 3 for a few years now. I use it mostly for recording my hike, and I also have a Garmin Tempe for checking the temperature.

Thanks Samuel, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great video man. I really liked all the map work you put in here, helps give a good visual of where you are during the hike!
Thanks Matt! I use the map animations because I'm too cheap to carry a drone. LOL
Great video. I’m heading there today. Same route and plan as you. Thank you.
Great video! Getting ready to hit this trail in a few weeks.
Very nice! Thanks for posting. Love the special FX!!
Just trying to keep it interesting. Thanks Rick!

Thanks! Yep, same general area and very similar terrain and views. Same rattlesnakes also. lol

Great Video. Enjoyed it very much. Might try this one this year..
Thanks Ray!
Great video. Thanks!
Thanks Jake!
Loved this video. Would really like to hike there.....
Thanks! It's a great loop and definitely worth checking out. Glad you enjoyed it!
That's an epic start to the video on the map.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Dragon! Yeah, I think that snake on top of Sullivan Mountain should have his own UA-cam channel. I see him in everyone's videos.

Camp for the King, LOL! That was our day 1 camp. Best spot on the trail we did it Clockwise.
That's gotta be the best rock chair I've ever seen at a campsite. Too bad they used every rock just to make only one chair. lol
I hiked the OLP last November. The first night it got down to 16* at Sproul Point vista shelter.
Nice! I hope you stayed warm!
Awesome video thanks for the trip! Looks like you have a zoom recorder? I wonder what you are using for a camera?

I think the bird you heard after doe run was a Pileated Woodpecker, it sort of laughs like Woody Woodpecker used to do!

have you ever hiked the laurel highlands hiking trail its a 70 mile trail
I am from the area. It floods and it changes
Great video man! Where did you get the burgers at the end?
Thanks! We got the burgers at "The Barn" bar & grill on Worlds End Road. Very tasty!
What mile is that great swimming hole at? Its at the 23rd minute?
The really deep water with the waterfall is roughly about 7 miles in, where Yellow Dog Run meets Rock Run.
gps: 41.542478, -76.883480
@@downtoearthadventures1528 thanks for the quick response! so that would mean it’s 7 miles from the start or finish right?

Man I've never seen so much stinging nettle on a trail.
yeah, the whole area is just covered with either ferns or stinging nettle, or both.
