Imho one of the best ending i ever listen to. The music and the scene is just perfect, i love how they portrayed Eren and how we are not able to see his face when he is adult, when he turns to us he just disappear
This ending is apt! Eren only wanted to feel free! He was willing to do anything. He was a person who could not live in peace. He gets bored very easily. He states that himself, wishing for something to happen. Something Black and white. In his Freedom, he was always alone. So the ending where you only have nature here is apt. It represents Eren's freedom. He is a child who could never grow up. Eren is not a good guy, He is an interesting unique antagonist.
I see your point and I agree, but the lyrics also say his goal Is to protect the one(s) he loves. I don't think love was Eren's only motivation, perhaps it's not even the strongest one, but it's a big part of his characters as well :)
Well from the second he became a titan he knew his time was limited. He had to use that time to build a future for those he loved and would leave behind.
The first part with black and white colors and a dark back-plan represents how eren feels inside the walls. We see his scarf and the bloody knife he holds. He wore his scarf to the day he gave it to Mikasa. Also he holds a bloody knife which refers to the day he saved Mikasa from bangers. So it's the Eren before/or from the moment he saved Mikasa. Blood dropping to white flower means he can give up on his morals for freedom or he can ignore some things. As you can see, he always looks forward, not down. That means he could ignore flowers he steps on. Then his scarf turns into a bird and the bird starts to fly up to the sky. Yet, cage catchs it up. The cage is the wall and the bird is Eren himself. The walls always stole his freedom, this is what he thinks. For that, he is obsessed with the walls. In the next scene the cage disappears. That represents walls being broken down. As he turns around, you can see the wall ruins. The child Eren appears to be happy to see it. Then we jump to the present Eren. That means his goal originates from his childhood desire (and remember he said "from the day i was born, i was who i am"). He steps on colorful flowers and keeps looking forward. He ignores flowers again. Yet, the child Eren seems to be happy to see flowers. So, why present Eren steps on it? Because he sacrifices the beauty/world/humans for freedom. Once he achieves freedom, he vanishes. edit: the reason adult Eren stepping on the flowers that the child Eren adored might be because of their perspective. Child Eren always wanted see outside world, he was focused on beauty and mistery of it. In contrary, adult Eren focused on ugly face of it and his goal to start rumbling. All Eren wants now is for the people he cares about to be free, no matter the cost. This is because he knows that no matter how badly he wants it, Eren himself can never truly have the freedom he desired from the beginning, so he will help those he holds closest to get it instead even if it means letting everything go. This includes himself. He wants to protect them from the world and let them enjoy long, happy lives in peace. The line "even if I sacrifice everything, I will protect you" is Eren telling everyone this. The ending does an amazing job of representing that when he fades away in a field of flowers, knowing that maybe they can experience the life he wasn't able to. Eren truly is one of the most tragic characters out there.

This song hit harder after watching the last episode 💔
fuck this shit i'm crying. After reading the manga every single word from the lyrics hits so hard. The pain I had to endure before all came back omg
Not gonna lie. I literally cried. Some parts of the lyrics are realistic and accurate. Whoever wrote this is good ❤
I think this is my all time favourite outro of aot while the first opening is still my favourite
Tetsu no tama ga seigi no shoumei

Sono me wo tojite furete mireba
Onaji katachi onaji taion no akuma

Bokura wa minna jiyuu nan dakara
Tori no you ni hane ga areba

Nani wo gisei ni shitemo sore demo kimi wo mamoru yo
Machigai da to shitemo utagattari shinai

Opening: What Eren claims to be
Ending: What he truly is
Absolutely amazing, I'm in tears again, the whole series is just so powerful and raw
I love this ending, it shows from the second he became a titan he knew his time was limited. And he had to use that time to build a future for those he loved and would leave behind.
still hits different
the day i watch snk's final is gonna be the worst day of my life
Eren having a childlike happiness and freedom on the ruins of paradis just fking hits different
Romaji Lyrics: ^^

This is going to hit different when the final episode finishes.
I’m not crying you’re crying
why people pretend to cry while watching shows?
@@raht9578 what
Oh to see Eren’s smile again 😢💔 1:00
I came back and rewatched it like 10 times again
The Ending is 10/10 without a doubt
0:24 omg… so sad and beautiful !!
1:12 After finishing the series, these last seconds destroy me, at least death gave him true freedom
at 0:50 to the end it was so beautiful and sad i wish i was there though i would be happy. also love it when it said the the world is cruel but istill love you in eng sub
Why its hurt when i see little Eren bright smile fckkkk
This ending is marvelous one

I feel like this ending is where Eren actually succeeded the Rumbling and he's finally free because there's nobody around but Eren himself only, spending his remaining days until he passed away due to 13 years Ymir Curse.
0:51 once he’s out of the cage, all he sees is destructed world. This is so beautiful
The heartbreaking sacrifice of eren this song hits straight to the heart this song is made for eren this song is eren
"This is it, thats the end" Vibes
Welcome back!! Cuz this isn't the first time you're here
They did us dirty with the "Final Season"
Literally the best ending that I have ever seen, and it also sounds oddly nostalgic
Why do I actually start sleeping to this song-
NO, DONT LEAVE ME, PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME :(
Gives me shivers every time.
Best ending out of all seasons for sure
as a manga reader this hits hard
The most beautiful ending
This ending hits me everytime, I get super emotional and tear up pretty much everytime I watch it. Why you gotta do this to me AOT
This one really should've been the final ending
Or under the tree
This is the most beautiful anime opening in history.
This anime is literally perfect in every way possible
After 0:50 I always start crying it is just too much. 😭
that key change is perfect
Just came here to try to clean that crying Eren from the last episode out of my memory and keep this cool Eren walking in the flowers alive
Rip eren
I just keep moving forward
This was fucking...beautiful... I hope to feel this again.
At 1:03 you can see the walls are no longer there.
Nice ending for last part of aot :') ...
My dumb ass just realized that the scarf represents Mikasa, the world only becoming thereafter. Nice symbolism Mappa, nice.
I’m not crying you are!
i think this ending foreshadows that paradis eventually is abandoned based on how dilapidated and overgrown everything is and eren succeeded in saving them by posing as a villain for them to defeat to show the world theyre not devils
