  • a fun gathered maxi skirt!
    i saw coolirpa make a gucci inspired skirt and wanted to give it a shot! I really like how it turned out and you could probably do this in a day.
    filmed 4/28/20
    step 1: cut ¼ circle skirt, strips, and waistband pieces from fabric
    step 2: cut interfacing
    step 3: hem all pieces
    step 4: ruffle strips to length
    step 5: sew ruffled strips to lining skirt
    step 6: interface waistband
    step 7: sew waistband on
    step 8: add zipper and hook & eye

    Oh that skirt is beautiful!!!! This is definitely a sign to make one!!! I'll probably make it shorter because I don't have too much fabric(unless I do multiple fabric styles and such.) Thanks for this! Keep it up!

    Could you make another video on this but how to attach a bra like sundress top to it? ( I don’t even know if this comment made sense)

    It is realy realy cute, how much fabric did it need as a whole?

      @storifulcreations  3 роки тому +2

      I used two 90”x90” bed sheets! I think that turns out to be 10 yards of fabric with a width of 45”

    Absolutely love this! Just to check-is every strip the same length? Or is it just twice the circumference of the skirt section it’s covering?

    • @storifulcreations
      @storifulcreations  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video :) the strips are double the distance that they are going to cover. Hope this helps!
