In this video, they sanded with 1200 grit sandpaper....its depends on what type of defect you are sanding out. You should always lubricate when sanding with pure water...a splash of Meguiar's 00 car wash is always good as wel!
Great job on the VIDEO. It shows all the detail with what Meguiar's products and pads. It's hard to find a video that gives you all the info in a creative way that yours does. Thanks.
Love it. He used the Dual Action Polish with the rotary polisher. This man is a legend and if I ever meet him I will ask for his autograph and to take a selfie with me!!! Oh wait,,, is that the reason why the m80 side was worse??? Wonder how it would have turned out if he actually used a dual action polisher with the Dual Action Polisher polish?? In all honesty I love the old m80 series with diminishing abrasives, you just have to stay on it longer than you think
@SpezializedDemo8 if you use hand only....you can still use M105 and M205 to try and fix the dullness! If its severe....try to upgrade to the NEW DAG220V2
Isn't m85 for high solids paint? I'm not an expert on paint. But with a little research I found out high solids paint is used on airplanes. And ya I think they buff those out too and m85 is a compound you would want to do it with. Not m105.
M105 can cut through 1200 grit marks easily....if you prefer 2000 and then 3000 thats even better and more safe. If you want a slower and safer pad to use, I would stay with the W7006, if you want more speed the W5000 or W4000 would be great! For softer paints, a slower rpm is better as well, just an fyi.
What is the grain of the paper to be sanded?1000?2000?2500?3000? How procèder in the sanding? In water ok of bottom above or from the left to the right but what stage of paper to use?
I have a bumper that I saved, see the same companies prep pad to make sure all grease, lint, et-cetera where gone and noticed you use the same polisher for all the pads? I was told by Meg, that you need a Rotary Polisher for everything (in your case, the cutting) and a dual action for the Yellow and Black W68, what machine is that? They told me the clay bar instead of the wet sanding and then the 105/205 should do the trick.
Part 2 Basically, when the bumper ad its final clear coat dry, it dried flat and non glossy even though it is called glossy? Perhaps I had the angle wrong?
good guys and the m105 M205, cases that do not need sanding, the result will be good? my car was not repainted and I do not want to do the steps of the old Meguiars same I did before, M85, M83, M80, M205 swirls is noticed yet, I wonder what's wrong? be able to help me now thank you, and asking again, the M205 m105e to do any painting or repainting is restricted, as the pads? these would be the same? W4000 and w8207 also intend to use the pad w9207 for my car and black, hugs:)
On small label Just the varnishing is affected not painting Excuce me I am french so i don't speak english very well Me i do 2000 and 300 and after i sand witch M105 and red pad Meguiars W7006 It's good or you have some advice for me?
6:41 he clearly DID an ''S pattern" and was NOT overlapping and was going so fast over that panel that the polish did not stand a chance... Fake Mequiar's of Asia... terrible video.

yeah i definately am going to get my hands on this compound 105 i am utterly impressed with the results with a wool pad !
Great demo
@Abot87 w4000 is single sided and w5000 is double sided and a bit wider for easier performance when using.
yes the DA would work ok but not 100% since you need the rotational force and speed to remove the sanding marks.
@bourgoin768 you can use these products with or without sanding. Both work well.
@SpezializedDemo8 if you use hand only....you can still use M105 and M205 to try and fix the dullness! If its severe....try to upgrade to the NEW DAG220V2
wow,stunning results,thank you for showing us! (:
@snapoz no you cannot...the closest would be the DA microfiber system we have
@Liberaltedjo yes this is....there are many types of machines you can use.

rotary and DA are for different uses....its like comparing apples and oranges
@amenrx1 yes they can be used on harder clearcoats and thanks! ;D

The new stuff looks way better
Thank you very much for this awesome video its very helpful.

Thanks a lot
I doubt that you need a rotary to remove sanding marks, I can remove them easily with a dynabrade DA no worries. 19mm orbit throw.
Are you referring to that big heavy metal rotary attachment, that turns it into a DA?
Wow that is awesome.
M105/M205 is the good
Can 105 205 be used on harder paints, with the same results; I have a 2010 audi a3? By the way Meguiars Asia videos rock!!!!! Keep up the good work!
oooow, just change the backing plate, good idea, if makita vs DA, who won ?
@1pinoys no
Part 2
Basically, when the bumper ad its final clear coat dry, it dried flat and non glossy even though it is called glossy? Perhaps I had the angle wrong?
Can you use 85 then 205?
I pick 85 over. 105
what polisher do you use, or recommend? I was considering the Meguiar's G110 can you give me your opinion? Thanks in advance.
good guys and the m105 M205, cases that do not need sanding, the result will be good? my car was not repainted and I do not want to do the steps of the old Meguiars same I did before, M85, M83, M80, M205 swirls is noticed yet, I wonder what's wrong? be able to help me now thank you, and asking again, the M205 m105e to do any painting or repainting is restricted, as the pads? these would be the same? Me i do 2000 and 300 and after i sand witch M105 and red pad Meguiars W7006
It's good or you have some advice for me?
this makita polisher yea ??
Why will a DA polisher not work with this?? Does the DA polisher not have enough power?? I have a Milwaukee 5540 right now...would that be better??
what do you recommend to use on tough to get areas. like areas you cannot use a machine polisher?
can I use the meguiars 105 and then use the meguiars 82 swirl free polish instead of the 205?
TBH iwas looking for the M85 airsoft gun lol
lol does the car have clear coat after m105?
xD
Just get Menzerna that what they use in the Benz, and Bmw factories sorry mequiars but that polishing componds they have are bare none.
there still swirls
6:41 he clearly DID an ''S pattern" and was NOT overlapping and was going so fast over that panel that the polish did not stand a chance... Fake Mequiar's of Asia... terrible video.
I pick 85. Over. 105. Any. Day. And if. Ur. A detailer. And. Ben in the game. Years. You. No. Why
Why?
