Lovely video, crystal clear and great machinery. I like that there’s three different ranges of MF in the field (6290,6470, 5700) and that Valtra Valmet in light green is a rare one now. 6290 going a storm on the chopper and a very skilled and careful buckrake operator around those low doorways at the pit. Throughly enjoyed watching this.
Glad you enjoyed it, the 6290 the highlight for me, it just seemed a perfect combination with the harvester. Really getting through a lot of grass quickly. Love seeing the smaller scale stuff rather than some of the monsters of harvesters these days that barely squeeze through old gates!
Your in good company Stephen, the old stuff is great to see. More and more of it being restored and in great condition. Coming up we have older Massey's at silage, MF550 baling, trailed harvesters at silage and some old silage action from old camcorder tapes from 20+ years ago. Stay tuned!
Old school, reliable quality machinery still getting it done quickly, efficiently and probably at a fraction of the cost. What's not to like. The 6290 on that pottinger harvester is flying through it!
Brilliant bit of filming !! I dare say I used to work on a farm local to me down in south tip in the early 2000's... Massey 3690 on a mengle chopper and a fleet of massey 3080s on the draw with donnely trailers.. We had a volvo l70 on the pit.. Havint seen any of that kit around since..
Thanks for the comment! We have some footage on the channel of Mengele's working around 10 years ago - sadly don't see many of them now. Years back it was all blue stuff in this part of the country but seeing a lot more red and greens now. If you come across any old footage on VHS or camcorder tapes please give us a shout - love the old stuff.
Its the 6290 thats doing it for me, a tractor with real gutts, good tractor👌.
Agreed, and you hear those guts too! We've a variety of stuff on the channel but have to say the 6290 be right up there.

Agreed! Was aiming for a 5 minute video but just couldn't cut any of that sound out!
Good catch, nice kit. There's a lovely sound from the valtra and the 6290.
Thanks for watching. Agreed, sound of the 6290 was unreal, video doesn't do it justice

You said it Bob - unreal sound.
So happy I found this channel, like me the old stuff still has its place in modern farming, sub and like 👍🏻

Great video nice scenery hard to beat a wee bit of co Antrim countryside 🙂
Your right Paul, centre of the universe here!
Nice video man
Thanks for watching.
In a sea of fellas drooling over trailed JFs, the pottinger would always put it up to them. Great to see.
Thanks for watching.
Jf s are only scrap

Thanks for watching Kieran - couldn't believe how quickly she was eating it. A well tuned setup for sure.

New subscriber. Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Thanks for watching. More to come!
There seems to be alot of covered silage pits under DEFRA farming
unlike down South 🤔
Aye fairly common alright.
The 6290 is driving the life out of the harvester, not a bother to her, 62 series Massey would be my weapon of choice.
Yep fairly shifting on! Loved filming it.
Very nice video, run close to chopper ?? power in the 6290 .
Aye, she was sounding mint. Thanks for watching.
