Beautiful. Am curious to know how the rim of the pots after firing remain white. Since there is no glaze on the rim of the pots, I thought they would turn black on reduction.
No, copper matte pieces should not be washed water, you can dust it with a damp cloth every now and then, but it’s not able to be used in a functional matter for eating/drinking
Can pieces touch in this firing process? This is a copper stain vs using glaze ? I would like to fire 100 small hearts for a thank you fundraiser in January ... thank you

Can you please tell me what you spray on the pots while hot? Is it water or some chemicals?

TOP! 🇧🇷
Is this just a raku glaze called copper matte?
Hi Jason - This video is of my father - but from my understanding yes, it is a glaze he mixes himself and sprays on his pottery before raku firing.
Woo nice

No, the pieces should not touch when firing. This is a copper solution that is sprayed on the pottery
I want to make chawan out of this. How is it done?
not a food safe glazing technique, sadly
Do you have the recipe? Its so pretty
the one I commonly see for this sort of work is copper oxide/borax frit/bentonite at 89/9/2%

Not much of a "process" if you don't tell us beginners what you are doing or what liquid you are spraying. Disappointed.
