I’ve been using your fifty:fifty Gerstley Borate, Nepheline Syenite glaze, and get a nice white with lots of crackle. When I added copper oxide to get turquoise, I got brown copper colour instead. Does my fire need to be oxidizing to get turquoise? At present it’s reducing.
C'est la première fois que je vois une de vos VDO, j'ai votre livre Rakuvaria et je l'aime beaucoup mais cette VDO est super en explications et visions Bravo It's the first time I see a VDO of your workand it's really wonderfull ... Thank a lot for it ... PS: Sorry for my bad English but it is'nt my mother langage ...
Why do you make the top out of firebrick and not use the cutoff metal top. My husband wants to turn the metal top over and put bricks in it so you would have the metal between the fire and the bricks. Can this be done?
Incredible footage. Highly educational, beautiful ceramics!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!!!
Thanks for this. I’m going to do my first Raku fire tomorrow, having recently finished my kiln and bought propane.
how did it go?
