Magic photo's Pal. I'm from Fort William and the Family are spread between there, Oban, Ballachulish & Glencoe Village. Unfortunately I've been living & working near London until my service is done next year. I go home a couple of times a year however this video makes me even more homesick (in a good way!). I'm moving back next year and cannae wait! The Commando monument at Spean Bridge looks brilliant; your Van on Rannoch Moor and every other thing. When I took my Wife (ex-wife now) up there I told her to be prepared for all four seasons in one day; she didn't listen to me and about 5 minutes after we left Tyndrum on the way up she wouldn't get out the car for photo oppertunities.....because what I suggested would happen DID happen! This Video would be a crackin' Tourist video Pal, nice one

Ahh mate I've been up Etive Mor many times including Aonach Eagach during perfect snow and ice conditions. Every year I'd wait for the perfect winter climbing to visit Glencoe then onto Aviemore for the Cairngorms. Last visit was 11 years ago so we're planning an epic 4 weeks or more this winter in our Self Build to do the NC500. Good video mate, all the best 👍

@@savedpurplecat Your images are good enough to sell, not only is the composition excellent but the processing is sympathetic, not over satutated or High Definition which personally I find awful. Being prepared to wait for the right shot is a big part, there used to be an old saying, what's the best setting to use? answer, F8 and be there. LOL :-)

I very often forget my camera is a stills camera as well I know that sounds stupid but its true, if you know of any good how to vids on youtube you can recommend I will have a look
@@savedpurplecat The F8 thing is a joke kinda, the point really being that all the technique in the world is wasted if you aren't there or prepared to wait. If you wanted shallow depth of field you'd want a larger aperture than F8, more like F1.2 - F2.8 (the higher the number the smaller the aperture F22 being smaller than F8, F1.2 being larger than F8, the smaller the aperture the greater the depth of field but in low light that results in a very slow shutter speed unless you increase the ISO/ASA from e.g. 200 to 800. As for websites or UA-cam I'd have to look, I generally worked from books by known authors.

I’m finding the niak a great tent at the minute but I love them all . I’ve got 8 hilleberg tents and try to uses them all if I can lol but if I get rid of the Akto I’ll will let you know tim . Hi Peter hope all is well with you my friend, yes we have a weakness for these places lol somehow we always end up back there, we planned on going up to Assynt but the weather was way to unpredictable so we went to Skye which was a lot closer lol and to be honest the weather was pretty amazing. Jesse is developing into a real faithful friend and even she knows where she is when we open the door of the van and let her out lol she loves the highlands thats for sure :) Tim/Mandy/Jesse

Thanks Andy we really enjoyed this break, and you know exactly what its like, you make the most of bad weather lol yes the NC500 is a classic mate, most people just drive past the mountains and don't really understand how beautiful the area is, but if you take in a couple of munro's along the way it really becomes something very special.I will open an instagram account Andy you will have to tell me how I link up with you mate
