This is so relatable i recently started hijab and all of my moms side are trying too hard to make me take it off and they are just telling me how I can be better w/o it and I always feel uncomfortable with them they always js take off their hijab when they want which makes me feel as if I should take it off too but Alhumdulillah all of my friends motivate me to keep wearing it and help me, ever since I started my hijab i started with a cap and proper full covered and still going with it! I hope everyone who starts the hijab finds the right motivation and doesn't struggle through their journey.
It’s all about strong imaan and Alhamdulillah! Your imaan is strong🥹♥️ I went through similar thing as well it is uncomfortable in beginning because the people around you make you feel alienated but Allah handles everything and creates so much love in their hearts that everyone accepts the hijab♥️
Hi Maryam this is so relatable because I’m 11 and a few months ago I moved out into a non Muslim part of England and recently joined a new school where there are only like 20 Muslims out of 400-600 students, and I am the only hijabi in the entire school, and there are no halal food options in my school but alhamdulillah because of my pride and confidence in my iman, I brang halal food into the school and the first halal lunch to be served will be in the end of February. Thank you for your videos, you inspire me a lot and I look up to you a lot ( I’m also a brittish Pakistani aswell )
I started wearing the hijab when I was 4 and i remember being excited matching my hijab with my outfits. For context I'm somali and I grew up in Kenya( a country is east of africa). It wasnt really uncommon for kids around the age of 4 to start wearing the hijab, I didn't question why I had to wear it. A year later I started school and my whole life was involved around the deen alxamdulliallah. I was going to muslim school, then started learning the deen. At that I eventually understood why I was wearing it. The hijab become a part of my identity and life, but then later shifted to Sweden and now I'm going to a school where I'm the only hijabi in my class. Not it bothers me or I feel insecure but what you are saying is true. When you have people around you who are the same as you, it boosts confidence but alxamdulliallah the hijab was already part of my life. Im 17 now still wear it. Those people who feel pressured whether they feel insecure or parents are pressurising to take it off, remember who you are wearing it for. You are wearing for Allah and because Allah said so. Always remember, your rabb before anyone. You might feel lonely, sad or lost but always the aakhira before the dunya❤.
I am a pre - teen( cant say my real age 😢) my mum was a religious person and i was supposed to wear it around year 9 but i got inspired for wearing a hijab by my mum and sisters and i chose to do it and i dont have any regrets about it and that is what i love about being a muslim becuse the beauty of islam is just so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a friend who is not Muslim and she is the only non Muslim who said that I look very good with the hijab , I'm a new hijabi so it meant alot for me
Love this video I started wearing the hijab at 11 since I went to an Islamic school but before that I had the love for hijab I properly started wearing it at the age of 13 and a half And now I love it it feels like a crown on my head You inspire me to be more confident in the hijab and to try out new styles I always use your tutorials ❤
A child is not required to wear hijab until she starts her menses. If you are obligated by family as a child to do so or want to copy your mother and other ladies, this is very cute. It’s very important though to mention that a 7 or 8 year old child doesn’t have to. My daughter used to copy me when I was doing salah. She was only 2 or 3 and wanted to be like me. Children aspire to be like their parents who are hopefully good role models. My daughter didn’t wear hijab until she was 16. Puberty was delayed and she has always been grateful for that because she had a longer, more free childhood. That said, she embraced wearing proper hijab once she had to and does so properly, alhamdulillah. Jazak Allah khayr dear sister for sharing your story. Ma’assalama. 💕
I am only ten and I am now wearing a hijab and on the first day I wore it a teacher told me to take me to take it of and none of my family are wearing it and I don’t know what to do I have no friends who wear it but I want to follow allahs rules so I can go to Hannah but I don’t know what to do u make me feel so much better thank you so much
Your hijab journey is very much relatable to mine. You are right that it is a journey between Allah and us. We need to try our best and that is what matter most. ❤
Girl you helped me by the tutorials and let alone even wearing it, ive had thoughts here and there of me not looking pretty in it, but its what Allah SWT said about being modest and not wear tight clothing, and not to show off, it been MashAllah a year of me now wearing it and im still on the journey with it. I started at he October in year 7 and still today im wearing making it the level of wearing it to the shopping centres, shops etc. Not just in skl. Luv the vid and you are MashAllah so pretty. ❤
Im 34 and im 8 months into my hijab journey been a difficult one even at this age and people around me not supporting my decision and telling me i dont suit it. Shaitan has hit me many times, making me question the hijab and making me want to take it off. Alhamdullilah Allah has kept me strong, and im perservering watching your videos has helped me so much, JazakAllah
I started wearing it at 12 when I started now im almost 13 this is so true I go to an American school and its sometimes difficult and my mom and my moms side tell me to take it off because of killers since I walk to school I am worried too but honestly it was my choice id rather die as a believer then not cover my hair and body. I love this a lot thank you for sharing your story I feel like im not alone anymore ❤❤
I started my hijab journey last year in Ramadan and wore it on and off for 8 months to get used to it then became full time in October and alhamdulilah I'm so confident and learning so much everyday and I have friends that wear it too. My family is also so supportive. You're so inspiring and your journey is so relatable allahumma barik 💖
My friends all of them are non muslim and alhumdolilah i m in year nine and at the start of year 9 the first day i just wore the hijab for the 1st time like literally the 1st time and all of my friends were like omg you look so pretty ,,they made me feel so good and confident ,and also they understand my religion and they understand halal/haram stuff and why we wear hijab so they support me ,,they also tell me when my hair are showing from the undercap ,so yeah, surround yourself with the people who support you ❤😊

As-salamu alaykum Sister im 19 years old & since I been watching you you have really helped me with my hijab journey I really do look up to you thankyou🤍
This is so relatable you have inspired me so much to become a better Muslimah and the way you treat people. It is really hard when most of your family does not wear it and when your country is mistaken for being really religious it hurts like I feel the embrassment I think what has my country become but then I learnt that that even the people who are ‘advising’ tend to think that they better when really they aren’t getting any good deed for that action . I’m trying my best to adapt to the thought that ‘it’s not only about the modesty that’s visible , that’s for your sake and protection but modesty that is not visible aswell js real hijab. You need to find your reason on why you wear it not because everyone wears it .
Just shared my hijab story 🧕🏼 recently - it was a quite challenge back in 2008 in Denmark and also in 2015 in UK I wore again :) blessed from Allah Alhumduilallah ❤
(oops, my computer just broke trying to write this 😭) Anyways, I was going to say as someone who's lived in a non-muslim country most of my life. Wearing the hijab was slightly hard, but I used to live at a part of the city where A BUNCH of muslims lived and so it was normal for me to see niqabis or hijabis. I didn't wear the hijab myself though when I used to live there. Then I moved away, not going out much but most people I did see weren't muslim or wearing the hijab. Then I finally started wearing the hijab because I did my research, and alhamdulillah, I did it before I met most of the people I know now. What was hard for me though was the fact my family thought someone was forcing me to wear it (aka someone in my family who is religious) and I said 'no, just because I want to do something, it doesn't always mean i'm being forced to yk' and then my birthday came and I was told to take my hijab off and ig I ruined my birthday because I chose to keep it on? Anyways, it's better now but once I started going in-person, it was a slight challenge, but mashallah I got thru it. 😁👍
Salaam Maryam Jan. My name is Mariam too. You inspire me to be a better Muslim. I can’t wait to do my hajj and umrah but have to wait until my babies get a little older. I love how you show how hijab can be beautiful. Love your channel. May Allah bless your marriage.
In my primary, we had to completely TAKE OFF our hijab during P.E and had to wear a ‘P.E hijab’ instead. Not to mention the fact that it cost £20 and still showed your hair at the back!😭😭
mashallah you have been through so much and Allah sees your struggle to fulfil the hijab. May Allah reward you with his greatest rewards in this dunya and the hereafter. I am a hijabi too. I love seeing your videos. Mashallah you are truly amazing and ispiration.
My mom’s side always tells me to wear the hijab and sometimes forces me to, and I really want to but I don’t want to get forced. But with my own decision I really am excited to wear it and you have inspired me to wear it aswell!
Yeah exactly! Most of my friends are non-muslims but they always encourage me and ask me more about my hijab and my religion and it makes me SO happy! In return I ask more about their religion. I always find it crazy hearing my friends thoughts about my religion since first of all, THEY USED TO NOT KNOW THE NAME 😭! They also say 'muZZlim'. ALSO, the 'not even water' QUESTIONS GOT ME SO ANNOYEDD
I am going to wear the hijab in year seven but i am currently in year six and 10 years old but my grandma is forcing me to wear it so maybe when i go to her hous3 i will wear it❤❤❤❤❤❤lov the vid i support you and feel so bad for you
I love all your video I wish I can meet u once and when I am big enough I will be same like u inshallah I started wearing hijab when ever i am going out and u showed me a lot of hijab styles I really love u u are very pretty mashallah I wish I can meet u ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hijab is about modesty ..internal and external. Including the way we dress our body not tight clothes and makeup .I understand about confidence as it's about making ourselves feel better but we just have to remember we do our best. Best to increase our iman which will make it easier in shaa allah.
i relate cause now you are my inspiration and I do try your styles because you wear it with such confidence. subhanalah as you were inspired you are inspiring
I can relate so much because as a 13 year old in year 8 when i first started wearing my hijab i didn't know how to style it so my sister asked her friend to help and it look ok but when i went to my form room this boy laughed at me for wearing a hijab and that made me really insecure and i almost cried and he also mae fun of me and the boys were really rude for me wearing it even though they were muslims and til this day i am still insecure because i wear a jersey hijab and the hijab scarf is really annoying since i don't use pins(because i don't know to use them)or magnets i just style it anyhow and people kind laugh at my hijab and even hijabi girls still laugh at it i mean i get why but it makes me really insecure so i just want to say you inspire me alot and i am gald i can relate to your journey alot Xoxo Khadijah(my name is khadijah, btw)
I honestly thought I would get bullied at scl, I started wearing a hijab when I was 11 cuz I moved to a new scl and thought that it would be better to start wearing it cuz I moved to a new scl and nobody saw my hair and I live in a place where are not many Muslims an I was the only hijabi and only muslim but alhamdulillah nobody really said anything mean or bullied me but they were curious why wore it and couldn’t show my hair or how my hair is like ( long short straight or curly) they were actually really supportive if my hair slipped out they would tell me and stuff. Even in high school my friends from my old school didn’t say anything abt it and they respected my religion.
I really want to start wearing hijab but i keep having doubts whether i should really start or not. I always wear hijab when i go out but i dont fully wear hijab on family or social events. Sometimes I just wear dubatta to cover my head. Tho i really want to start. My problem with hijab is whenever i wear hijab to go out, it ALWAYS ends up moving completely and it annoys me soo much to the point it makes me want to cry lol. Because of heat and the hairs underneath the cap the keeps bothering me and my hijab somehow ends up literally moved to the opposite side at the end of the day. The other problem is that i cant find hijabs that are long enough to cover both front, back and sides. I want my hijab to be full coverage but i just cant find hijabs that are long, good quality and in the material i want. Third problem which i think is way my hijab moves is that i think my hijab style i do doesn’t fit me right because of my face shape. I want hijab that fits my face shape so it could be fixed throughout the day and also look good as well. My face shape is square so i feel like the hijab i do is not right and that might be why it keeps moving. I think if i get solution to my problems, I will start wearing hijab permanently inshallah! And I am actively looking for new styles to wear. I am so much inspired by you maryam and as well as muslim creators who come across my internet. Inshallah I will start my hijab soon
in my school one girl started wearing a hijab and all the Muslims girls started except one but she she said i will in year 7 in 11 my birthday was one the 22 nd feb
Now I have mentioned wearing hijab, my family and friends do not wear it, for me it is important and respectful to wear it to follow the rules of Allah and the way to respect him like this, I have had some criticism from some friends but I am comfortable using it
Hi I were a hijqb aswell and I go to a school in england aswell I'm in yr 6 and I'm turning 11 in 6 days and my school when we do P.E we have to take our hijab off did u have to do that too
Sister don't say salam say full assalmu alaikum don't take "Salam" from Morrocons. Our rasool saw didn't teach us to say only salam. I hope u understand❤

I can relate so much because as a 13 year old in year 8 when i first started wearing my hijab i didn't know how to style it so my sister asked her friend to help and it look ok but when i went to my form room this boy laughed at me for wearing a hijab and that made me really insecure and i almost cried and he also mae fun of me and the boys were really rude for me wearing it even though they were muslims and til this day i am still insecure because i wear a jersey hijab and the hijab scarf is really annoying since i don't use pins(because i don't know to use them)or magnets i just style it anyhow and people kind laugh at my hijab and even hijabi girls still laugh at it i mean i get why but it makes me really insecure so i just want to say you inspire me alot and i am gald i can relate to your journey alot
Xoxo Khadijah(my name is khadijah, btw)
so pure❤🩹
Your hijab journey is very similar to mine and I think we might be the same age by the years you described in school. I feel very seen☺️
Omg your lashes are so beautiful
Take love from Bangladesh🇧🇩❤️
This helped soooo much
Mashallah ❤
Omg when u were little 😮😮

Such an enlightening video. Please can you list the makeup you used please?

Aṣ-Ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm لصراط المستقيم
I think I know who the two influencers you mentioned. Me too. I felt that. Bummer. I was like really? One of them even has a hijab line.
How do you stay thin? Is it genetics,
in my school one girl started wearing a hijab and all the Muslims girls started except one but she she said i will in year 7 in 11 my birthday was one the 22 nd feb
Now I have mentioned wearing hijab, my family and friends do not wear it, for me it is important and respectful to wear it to follow the rules of Allah and the way to respect him like this, I have had some criticism from some friends but I am comfortable using it
