ahhh the timing of this could not be more perfect. i am a new muslim alhamdulillah and only just bought my first prayer clothes and proper hijab in preparation for ramadan. i haven't decided yet whether to take the hijab, may Allah will guide my steps, but this answers a lot of my current questions 😅
NO “ladies’HIJAB” found in the Quran. - (The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but NOT for ladies.) Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found) In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBABs over themselves…” in Quran 24.31 - “… KHIMARs over the JAYBs..” The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31 - Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING, it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc. There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran, They have SHIFTED the IMPORTANCE away from the JAYB Check the transliteration in Quran 24.31: “yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna” [Plurals : khumur, juyoob] // *..put-forth COVERINGs OVER THE JAYBs…*// KHIMAR = COVERING and JAYB just means OPENING - like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb To verify JAYB from the Quran check this example in //Quran 28.32 (part) “…. yadaka fee jayb’ika …”. // “… put your hand in your Jayb..” (clearly a pocket or opening in the dress) (or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is. Again, please see where the importance is in the verse: “put-forth COVERINGs over the JAYBs” - but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB - by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations - gradually shifting the importance of COVERING the Jayb - giving importance away from the Jayb seems like DISTRACTION from the main EMPHASIS. AND also - these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings - please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from? We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran - in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran - see where the word is used again. QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings). They should know when the same root word is used for khumur/intoxicants even then it’s used for “COVER” - - any KHUMUR /- intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ability INSIDE THE MIND - - Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head. How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands? They’re Spreading culture and calling it religion - They took the desert clothing that is needed in sand storms and called it religion OTHER religious groups were ALREADY wearing it in the desert. IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran AND they should not add words in translations. JILBAB: Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED” Here the condition is to be recognised : how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully? - So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran. Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed. Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY. “… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “ (Plural-is JALABIB) //Quran 33.59 O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBABs over themselves . In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED and not be HARASSED. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful// -- Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also. - Some of them will not VERIFY what is in the Quran - word by word. And you may get to see how they will jump to start calling IGNORANT and names to the person showing them the research.

Hey girl, you're not alone. I have the same problem. I have been a Muslim since birth, as is my family, however, no one in my extended or immediate family wears the hijab. I have been thinking so much about wearing the hijab for the last year and I have such a desire that I could start wearing it right now. I'm 20 years old and my family still doesn't support it, it's somehow a taboo topic for them. I have hijabi friends and they always think that they have influenced me too much. My parents think that it will be difficult for me in life if I wear the hijab because others will not accept me and in general injustice is done when it comes to employment. I also understand their side, but I believe that it is worth wearing the hijab, an In Shaa Allah, we will be rewarded for it, and that our faith will become stronger. I am sorry that we are not supported by our family and I think that is the hardest part. I hope that in time both your parents and mine will accept it and that Allah will make it easier for us. ❤
I know my advice would sound a little bit controversial but here we go when I first started hijab i would Tell myself it way to protect my hair from the sun which is bad for hair 2, it my own way of getting different hair colors every day because i wear colourful hijab along with the Quran reason of wearing the hijab i became consistent since 2018 and still going strong
As a born Muslimah, I want to wear the hijab till the end of the year (have first my whitening teeth operation and maybe we will go on vacation because of my password). Unfortunately, my mother won't allow me since for her it's important to what other thinks, to find a job even the point in many pharmacies there are hijabis working there and first marriage before wearing it, what it's dumb. I won't give up, only need to buy maxi skirts for my short tops, wide pants and long tops till the knees and of course hijab so I wear it this year.
Allah has blessed and chosen you. Despite being so young, you found your way back to Islam (as we believe all of us are born Muslim, it's just our family that introduces us to new and different faiths) so proud of you mashaAllah. Just remember Allah and put all your trust in him. Once he becomes your friend, nothing and no-one can hurt you. Test and trials may come but never be daunted, it is God's plan. Me too! I've watched a lot of these types of videos and gotten tips from friends and family! Here are my fav ones. - Start slow if you want to show your neck that's fine! Wanna show a little but of hair that's fine too! - Be confident like she said in the video don't feel shy and awkward! Ik this can be hard tho but try. - Try different styles before commiting to it fully and wear your favorite ones. - Try different Colours don't be scared to wear vibrant ones! It's fine if you want to stick to maybe black but try! - Surround your self with other Muslims around your age if you can - Watch many Muslim videos and yt shorts/tik toks Good luck✨
I've always found hijab soo beautiful and don't entirely agree that it stops men/society judging you for your beauty - but rather your skin and hair if that makes sense. Comments about it protecting us from judgement about our body - you can still see someone's height or whether they are overweight or thin
I'm not Muslim but I'm still doing my research on the hijab, can I show my ears ?? or just the lobe? what about the neck and how many inches from the ankle can I dress? drape down to the shoes?
it's usually expected to cover your ears and neck. The hijab should wrap around these areas. Clothing should reach the ankles or touch the shoes, and it should be loose fitting.
It’s ok just wear it and allah will make it easy for you : Whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better and inshalah your will have more outfits just do it if your ready don’t miss this apportinity that allah gives you ( sorry for the English)
Allah makes all of us lovely sisters strong on this deen. But don’t forget ladies, hijab is only the exterior… build your imaan too by learning the Book of Allah, being steadfast on your 5 prayers and ALWAYS try to learn more and improve. Hijab is part of a journey but it isn’t the end goal

Salem Aleykoum warahmatullah y wa barakatu ! i am in the same situation and personally I have decided to wear the hijab every day, like i said to myself that I am not allowed anymore to go out of my house without the hijab. And if you are scared to put the hijab now I advice you to do it step by step ( start wearing mastour clothes etc) And if you feel that it is the perfect time to wear it don't overthink!! wear it and in shaa Allah Allah will make it easier, Also don't forget to make duaas and to ask Allah for guidance ( sorry for my English I am French :3)

hijab is such a hard concept in today's society protecting our beauty doesn't just mean your hair but your physical beauty too please don't beautifying yourself although she said it avoid it at all costs as its haram and doesn't make the rulings on the hijab proper! it goes under the line of tabarujj aswell a try your best to never or avoid trousers as muslims we aren't supposed to wear them and lacks modesty as you can see the shape of the legs even tho its "baggy" it can imitate a man! no shade the style is nice but for not us muslims to reflect on with a hijab i recommend to not have bun it hurts the head and gets heavy causing headaches instead you can put your hair in a ponytail braiding a tiny bit elasticating it leaving the rest as a pony tail and putting the hair down your garment/clothing ALSOOOOO please don't delay hijab uhkt no one will ever be ready to wear hijab never listen to shaytan's voice because we cant be considered a tomorrow so we should be quick to put it on try your best to cover your neck but don't fall under the influence that your advantaged bc your on your "journey" we are still sinning and yes hijab is sooo hard but we wont ever be feeling pretty in it but we have to deal with it for allah swt avoid tight clothing too and wear abaya's most of the times or skirts and a baggy caridigan or sweater with parents if they are really harsh and dont let you do what you want don't go against them allah knows what you want and instead after levaing the house with no hijab then try finding a place nearby to quickly change don't disobey and create a bad realationship with them after time it will get easy inshallah may allah help and guide us avoid jewellery too as its a beautification unless like a watch is used for the actual purpose and not just for decor try your best to cover your neck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The qualifier Aula (earlier) implies the prophesy of a later Jahliya & what we are witnessing today in the modern world fits the bill🚷Those who are trying to reconcile Islam to this modern Jahilya have been working hard to water down these teachings🚷Among their arguments is that these ayahs were meant ONLY for the wives of the Prophet🚷Little do they realize that the household of the Prophet was charged with becoming the model that the rest of the community would follow, for a revolutionary change in such practices required the presence of cultural leaders😎A careful reading of the following ayahs will make that clear💎يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ ۚ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًاO wives of the prophet U R NOT LIKE any other women, if U observe taqwā (righteousness)💎So Do NOT be too soft in your speech, lest some1 having disease in his heart develop fancies (about U) & do speak with appropriate words _**_33:32_**_💎This ayah makes 2 points:1️⃣The wives of the Prophet are at a level above other women because of taqwa2️⃣In talking to other men their talk should avoid display of female charms to prevent the development of any fancies💎R we to believe that developing taqwa & preempting the possibility of development of lust were only the concern of the wives of the Prophet?وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًاRemain in your homes & do not flaunt your charms as they used to flaunt them in the days of earlier ignorance & establish Salāh & pay Zakāh & obey Allah & His Messenger. Allah only intends to keep (all sorts of) filth away from you, O members of the family (of the prophet) & to make you pure through a perfect purification💎_**_33:33_**_💎Here again the question will be whether breaking from the Jahliya practices was only required of the wives of the Prophet? What about Salah & Zakah? Why are they mentioned in this “exclusive” COMMAND? .. ۚ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ ۚ💎& when you ask any thing from them (blessed wives of the Prophet), ask them from behind a curtain💎That is better for the purity of your hearts & their hearts💎_**_33:53_**_💎We can continue the same question here💎Was the purity of hearts only needed for the wives❓💎USE THE COMMON SENSE WHICH ALLAH HAS GIVEN YOU_*

Even my sister prefers wearing jeans, tops, and other Western-style clothes. They are more into Western culture. My boyfriend, however, always wants me to wear the hijab, and so does his sister. I started loving to wear the abaya and hijab because of them, and I’m trying, but my mom thinks I’m wearing it just for my boyfriend’s family, not out of my own choice. However, I truly love wearing modest clothes now and love putting my hijab on. I’m just so scared of how they react. They give me such looks that it makes me feel so lonely sometimes.
Hey girl, you're not alone. I have the same problem. I have been a Muslim since birth, as is my family, however, no one in my extended or immediate family wears the hijab. I have been thinking so much about wearing the hijab for the last year and I have such a desire that I could start wearing it right now. I'm 20 years old and my family still doesn't support it, it's somehow a taboo topic for them. I have hijabi friends and they always think that they have influenced me too much. My parents think that it will be difficult for me in life if I wear the hijab because others will not accept me and in general injustice is done when it comes to employment. I also understand their side, but I believe that it is worth wearing the hijab, an In Shaa Allah, we will be rewarded for it, and that our faith will become stronger. I am sorry that we are not supported by our family and I think that is the hardest part. I hope that in time both your parents and mine will accept it and that Allah will make it easier for us. ❤
I know my advice would sound a little bit controversial but here we go when I first started hijab i would Tell myself it way to protect my hair from the sun which is bad for hair 2, it my own way of getting different hair colors every day because i wear colourful hijab along with the Quran reason of wearing the hijab i became consistent since 2018 and still going strong

As a born Muslimah, I want to wear the hijab till the end of the year (have first my whitening teeth operation and maybe we will go on vacation because of my password). Unfortunately, my mother won't allow me since for her it's important to what other thinks, to find a job even the point in many pharmacies there are hijabis working there and first marriage before wearing it, what it's dumb. I won't give up, only need to buy maxi skirts for my short tops, wide pants and long tops till the knees and of course hijab so I wear it this year.
Correct hijab is not only material over your hair😊 so may Allah guide all of us

Me too! I've watched a lot of these types of videos and gotten tips from friends and family! Here are my fav ones.
- Start slow if you want to show your neck that's fine! Wanna show a little but of hair that's fine too!
- Be confident like she said in the video don't feel shy and awkward! Ik this can be hard tho but try.
- Try different styles before commiting to it fully and wear your favorite ones.
- Try different Colours don't be scared to wear vibrant ones! It's fine if you want to stick to maybe black but try!
- Surround your self with other Muslims around your age if you can
- Watch many Muslim videos and yt shorts/tik toks

I've always found hijab soo beautiful and don't entirely agree that it stops men/society judging you for your beauty - but rather your skin and hair if that makes sense. Comments about it protecting us from judgement about our body - you can still see someone's height or whether they are overweight or thin

I'm not Muslim but I'm still doing my research on the hijab, can I show my ears ?? or just the lobe? what about the neck and how many inches from the ankle can I dress? drape down to the shoes?
it's usually expected to cover your ears and neck. The hijab should wrap around these areas. Clothing should reach the ankles or touch the shoes, and it should be loose fitting.

Salem Aleykoum warahmatullah y wa barakatu ! i am in the same situation and personally I have decided to wear the hijab every day, like i said to myself that I am not allowed anymore to go out of my house without the hijab. And if you are scared to put the hijab now I advice you to do it step by step ( start wearing mastour clothes etc) And if you feel that it is the perfect time to wear it don't overthink!! wear it and in shaa Allah Allah will make it easier, Also don't forget to make duaas and to ask Allah for guidance ( sorry for my English I am French :3)

hijab is such a hard concept in today's society protecting our beauty doesn't just mean your hair but your physical beauty too please don't beautifying yourself although she said it avoid it at all costs as its haram and doesn't make the rulings on the hijab proper! it goes under the line of tabarujj aswell a try your best to never or avoid trousers as muslims we aren't supposed to wear them and lacks modesty as you can see the shape of the legs even tho its "baggy" it can imitate a man! no shade the style is nice but for not us muslims to reflect on with a hijab i recommend to not have bun it hurts the head and gets heavy causing headaches instead you can put your hair in a ponytail braiding a tiny bit elasticating it leaving the rest as a pony tail and putting the hair down your garment/clothing ALSOOOOO please don't delay hijab uhkt no one will ever be ready to wear hijab never listen to shaytan's voice because we cant be considered a tomorrow so we should be quick to put it on try your best to cover your neck but don't fall under the influence that your advantaged bc your on your "journey" we are still sinning and yes hijab is sooo hard but we wont ever be feeling pretty in it but we have to deal with it for allah swt avoid tight clothing too and wear abaya's most of the times or skirts and a baggy caridigan or sweater with parents if they are really harsh and dont let you do what you want don't go against them allah knows what you want and instead after levaing the house with no hijab then try finding a place nearby to quickly change don't disobey and create a bad realationship with them after time it will get easy inshallah may allah help and guide us avoid jewellery too as its a beautification unless like a watch is used for the actual purpose and not just for decor try your best to cover your neck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
