I just love your channel. You make it so simple to understand dressing to enhance our body. Instead of hiding our bodies you explain the reasons. The everyday woman with kindness. 💕💕
I’m a new subscriber and am so impressed with your videos! Without fail, with each one I watch, I am inspired to both shop new items and style pieces in my closet in a new way. As a short apple, you’ve inspired me to stop wearing hugely oversized clothing, return to more fitted clothing(even tucking things in to define the waist I have) and I’ve received SO many compliments. Well done!
Hi, I’m a new subscriber. What great advice you give here. Im an ex pat living in Canada. I live in a rural area on a small homestead. My wardrobe is full of extremely casual clothing. I’m coming to visit my sister in the UK this summer. What on earth do I travel in and carry to change between flights. I’d love to wow my sisters. Do you have a topic on your channel perhaps. All the best.
Have been a subscriber for quite awhile and want to say thank you for sharing all your styling knowledge. Always learn from you. Love that you provide us with outfit ideas and links so we can recreate your looks. Have received lots of compliments on outfits.
So thankful for all your videos because I am one of that person who has a lower apron stomach and that video that I saw last week, taught me how to dress the right way! Thank you so much and good luck!😊👍
I love your videos so much! I‘ve had a hard time dressing my mum body and I am learning so much from you. Thank you for explaining things in simple terms for those of us who are a bit more style challenged. I can’t wait to rework my closet with your tips in mind. I think my students will be proud of me. 😂 If you are ever in NYC, I volunteer to be a model! ❤😊
I've been really enjoying discovering your channel over the last few weeks. Nice to see a model with darker colouring in the clothes also to see the contrast
Melissa, thank you for the great inspiration for everyday fashion. I follow you every week and I always find something to use in my wardrobe. I have a similar figure to you, so your models are an inspiration to me. I follow your preferences when I dress and I already have a few pieces that you recommended. I confirm that your advice works because I get a lot of praise and compliments in my models. Pavla 🙂
Hello Melissa, thank you for igniting my belief that I can dress better for my shape rather than write myself off and hide in huge clothing. Please keep up with dressing models with all sorts of shapes and challenges. Your tips are gold nuggets !! One future subject could be choosing jeans. I see all types of cuts and never know which to go for.... ❤
You always manage to style everyday life beautifully! I love that you find items that can be dressed down or up. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and empowering each and everyone of us
Thank you for that video; again you inspired me; White Zara dress is just amazing; I would never pay attention to it myself but it meet all my requirements for summer dress;
Great ideas to give me suggestions for the office. It’s casual there but I don’t want to feel dumpy. I am learning so much as a new sub here. Thank you!
Hi Melissa I loved everything about this video, the trick with the white belt so good, but at the end that white dress is sooo gorgeous on you. Your model is cute and learned from you. Thank you Melissa for showing us how to look like we have a better body to dress than we really do. ❤❤❤❤
Do you think you could do another show case from next ? I really enjoyed that one and I check every bloody day for that Pink blouse with flowers to be back in stock with those blue shorts it looked amazing
That last dress was so elegant and stylish you looked lovely. Could you discuss dropped waist and tiered skirts more and what body shapes they would suit…I feel that they make me look enormous! Great video with beautiful choices.
I so enjoy your videos & always learn something new. Could you please suggest a few shoulder pad brands. The ones that tuck under bra straps always move around & won’t stay put.
Thank you so much for another great video 🥰 seeing you and Sarah demonstrating the outfits next to each other was very helpful 👍 thank you for all the tips and tricks 🙏🏻
I love your styles. I wish I lived in a place where we didn’t have triple digit temps 3 months a year. My dressy clothes are shorts, tank tops and a very sheer shrug I found on Amazon.😂. ❤to you from Texas.
I loved them all Mellisa. Question for the outfit with the white pants with the front seam, the blue strip pants and brown slipper, dont you think the slipper is too casual for that outfit?
No, that’s almost the point that you’re mixing the refined with the casual and that’s what will keep the styling from looking dated. But like I always say, it’s called ‘personal’ style for a reason so please don’t ever follow a look if you’re uncomfortable with it, the beauty of these looks is that you can dress them up or down. X
The beautiful white pants that you ironed the crease into - which one are those in the links you provide? I see that there’s a few options you provided. Thank you - wonderful and gorgeous (inside and out) as always!
Hi Melissa! Greetings from Connecticut in the USA. I discovered your channel about a month ago. The concept of the hour glass shape has really changed how I look at clothes when I get dressed. Can’t wear most of the things you show for these activities, but try to look good. What do you suggest? I go for cut offs and tee shirts that are not new. Love some of your suggestions for show openings.

They can do but usually it’s not the pleats you have to think about, it’s the fact that people then select the wrong top. NEVER just look at one piece in isolation, you have to look at everything!!
Hi Melissa and Team! You have done many wonderful course on body type and I feel pretty good about recreating the hourglass shape and flattering my body. What I would love to see is styling for a trend (or piece) on different body types. I just bought a slouchy oversized jacket with strong shoulders and it looks fab with ankle straight leg jeans but everything else I pair it with just looks kind of "off". I would love to see videos where the focus is on the clothing item instead of the body. Can anyone wear a pencil skirt with the right top? what about flowy tops? or wide leg trousers? Thanks!
Thanks for the great videos that you guys create. I watch all and every one that come out because you learn so much. A suggestion I have is, could you mention in your videos what shade the colours of the neutrals are. It’s so difficult to tell on a screen. I’m always looking for pure white rather than off-white and grays instead of beiges (blue based). Also, please consider doing a capsule wardrobe for people who don’t like brown/beige? That would be soooo good btw, I loved the snake print shoes 😍
Really? I'm so sorry to hear that, we have hundreds of people who are on the course so i'm so sorry but I imagine your email is going into the junk folder as we'd obviously want to hear from you! Please email both: hello@mmstylingacademy.co.uk and stylist@mmpersonalstyling.co.uk and i'll tell them both to check their junk email. That said, you can just go to www.mmpersonalstyling.co.uk and sign up, you don't need to email anyone unless you have something specific you'd like us to answer (which we're obviously happy to do). Many thanks, we look forward to seeing you on there!
@@mmpersonalstyling That's my height too. I really like when I see someone with my height because I can see the lenght of the clothes and how it fits. ❤
I love wearing all white/light colours, but it's massively impractical for my bus/train/London underground commute! I wear a lot of navy with tan accessories in the summer as it doesn't show dirty marks from train/tube seats/someone spilling their coffee on you. The same goes for the very flowy midaxi dresses - I saw a woman get her dress caught in the tube door the other day. We're also not allowed to wear shorts or trainers 🙂 And no way would a dress with a cut out be okay 😂Loved the outfits, just some were not suitable for my office.
Funny enough, as a very curvy body (bubble bum, big thighs, wide hips, f-cup boobs) with narrow shoulders, I look much heavier with anything widening on my shoulders! With a sleeveless top I can't have more than an inch wide of fabric on the shoulders. Absolutely no shoulder pads, no frills, no dropped shoulder seams, no upwards widening cuts! I do work in fashion, so I have the skill to dress my tricky body type and I can also alter clothes myself. Of-the-shelf hardly ever fits me.
If you can’t have anything wider than an inch wide of fabric on your shoulders then that look is actually broadening your shoulders! The thinner the strap, the more broadening effect it has so you’re broadening without recognising! This is very normal that a client does things naturally without knowing the reason why….
The pencil skirt isn’t the issue, it’s what you wear on top and on your feet. You ALWAYS have to look at an outfit as a whole, not just the one piece. If you pair it with a top that doesn’t balance out your stomach then the answer is no but if you balance out the rest of your frame then yes you can wear it.
It would be helpful if Sarah could stand straight on so the audience can see the outfit better, Mostly she was standing to face you or on a slight angle which doesn't let you see the look well
I just love your channel. You make it so simple to understand dressing to enhance our body. Instead of hiding our bodies you explain the reasons. The everyday woman with kindness. 💕💕

In your opinion is the cream trench something that would carry into Autumn or is it strictly a Spring/Summer look?
Definitely into autumn with a light knit underneath. I've seen a lot of them in store but I know they're selling out fast online.
Nice video, nice things but above my pay scale
We did an Amazon video a couple of weeks ago with some lovely similar pieces of that helps?

It would be helpful if Sarah could stand straight on so the audience can see the outfit better, Mostly she was standing to face you or on a slight angle which doesn't let you see the look well
