@LeninVargas I was wondering which version of the rockerverb you have mark 1,2,3 and if you still love it? I'm considering between rockerverb mk 3 and this because of the versatility. I'm still skeptical but I wanna believe it's that good. Thanks.
The day you can run bias fx integrated into this amp is the day I will buy this. This way you can use a midi switch to run all the pedals. I really don’t understand why they can’t do this. I am running my iPad into a stereo amp to achieve this but at least I can switch different amps and pedals via midi and it is more versatile than their amp. Uggh. Hopefully one day this will happen.
Just get the pedals and there you got your real life bias fx, bias dist, delay and mod are really great pedals standalone and more great when combined with bias head or mini head
@@jesus4pincho yea but they're expensive AF lmao, it'll run you around 2k. tbh it feels like an articifial limitation so they can sell the individual pedals. I use a Kemper, but any thoughts on using Kemper profiles then running the dry Kemper outputs into the Bias Fx so I can Blend both Kemper and Bias Fx at the sàme time?
@@Rouwiinator The USB is so you can use Bias Amp 2 with the system. If you want to plug the sound coming from it, you use the XLR line out into your Audio Interface. Although I've seen in the manual that it mentions re-amping so that might have to be done for direct input.
@@shitmandood that's correct although I must say it kinda baffles me a little bit with a complete digital unit with usb connection which even runs on a stand alone plugin. They need to offer a bias fx rack processor just for fx which you could use with the physical amp. That would be nice and it could also be quite easy to create a wet dry rig with something like bias rack processor.
@@Rouwiinator There's no need! What people are doing is using the Line 6 HX Effects. I've done some research into HX Effects and it is essentially the "Bias FX" but already done by somebody else & there is no waiting. I love the idea of not having to buy everything from the same vendor and there is no waste or overlap either. Mini Bias/Bias Amp 2 Pro handles the amp simulations, the HX FX handles the DSP, plus it has room for a full pedal board and two expression pedals. You can also use the HX FX with your synths or other instruments if you have them. The amount of value & versatility you get from these two devices is huge. They're like a couple of different types of swiss army knives that can work together to become bigger than their parts, or use them in separate applications. Fully configurable.
Yes, you can. I have the Bias Head with the same output power. This is a class D power amp an it’s works in other way that a tube or other solid power amp. This has a function that control the power output to match with your cabinet impedance and power, if too much power for it, the bias low the output power automatically to match with your cabinet, in that way protect your speakers and it self, all that thru a temperature sensor. It’s amazing friend. I work my Bias Head with a Orange 2x12 120 watts 16 ohm, and too with a pair Marshall 1x12 each one with a celestino G10 65 watts and 8 ohm.
what ever effects you want to run in bias effects. as far as I know. At least that is what I was told. I dont have this amp But I am working on getting it, but I have talked to the guys over at positive grid
Nope. It's just BIAS Amp on a hardware base. I never understood why they didn't integrated FX from BIAS FX. Having to use conventional pedals in front or/and FX loop is a pain in the ass. Other than that BIAS Amp 2 rules it all, especially when using Celestion package from PG. Love it! \m/
Yeah I have bias amp 2... See I was under the undersatnding that if you bought bias fx you could use it with the amp.. I know it works with bias amp and bias amp2
I’ll keep my old Deluxe Reverb for now, thanks. I’d rather spend my valuable spare time practicing than questing for some nuanced tone that I can’t hear after the drummer kicks in.
jts....it's very easy to set up a few handy presets. If you love your ONE amp...great. No problem. Some people need more flexibility than that. In an affordable and portable device. You do admit though, that you can't hear any difference between this multi-tone device and real tube amp. GREAT!
@@dewdude2112 How do you find this amp with drive pedals compared to a class A tube amp ? I'm currently using Amplitube 4 at home and it's great - but it doesn't work with drive pedals anywhere near as well as my Carr Rambler does. The other issue with Amplitube 4 is latency - but the Bias appears to have that problem solved.
I Agree with you to a point because I've spent a lot of money searching for that one tone, or pedal and sometimes it's never enough when one time while playing a club in Dana Point Harbour, a patron gave me his card and said I should come by the studio. I didn't (I was about 21 then)and about a year later while looking for the lyrics to a Bonnie Raitt song after flipping the álbum cover over and the first thing I saw was the patrons face, It was the patrons face Fritz Richmond and he was Bonnie Raitts recording engineer. This is a true story. it's like they say that you never know who is going to be ìn the audience. So before that happened I would practice 8-12 hours a day. So sometimes it pays to spend time practicing and it's easy to keep buying that one pedal or amp that you think will do the trick. You do have to weigh the priorities and keep your chops.
And this is what we call "option paralysis." So many choices that you don't know where to begin... or where to stop. I'll still take my simple Orange OR15 with only 5 knobs.
Kinda missing the point of the Bias mini amp. You can easily use the amp stand alone with 16 presets. All the controls on the front panel operate the same as a standard amp. If you're a tweaker, with bias amp software, you have thousands of options. The point is, having the mini amp and the software, means replacing your pedal board almost entirely, and being able to create any sound you want, anytime you want. Midi out, Bluetooth, headphone jack, effects loop, USB interface, built in 300 watt class D power amp, all in a 5 pound portable package. This device is a game changer. If you're not into modelling or digital amps, the Bias mini amp isn't for you.
Guitar Hunter - I guess I know my Orange OR15 better you think. I have no trouble dialing in a Back in Black sound on that amp. And I’m using V30s in my 2x12, not Greenbacks.
You don;t have to do that much if you don't want. You can use the loaded presets, upload user presets. Or just make a few simple adjustments. That;s the beauty of it! You can use it as simply or technically as you want. I find that the close the tone is to the one in my head....the better and more I play. I love having any variety or style to suit my mood.
i cant tell you how much you are leaving out. The things you say are so easy dont work. I already had to factory reset my mini once because i cant get it to save patches properly and sure as shit cant get them to be controlled by the footswitch. These guys make amazing amp sims, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to compete with fractal simply because the unit is not user friendly as you say. I can't believe i spent almost 1000 on this amp and the footswitch. Oh one more thing...do NOT buy the bluetooth pedal if you have a mini. They are NOT compatible.
1) BluGuitar Amp1 100W 2) Atomic Amplifire and powered PA 3) Hotone 75W amp pedals (Britwind, Mojo Attack) All three of those options are direct competitors to Bias' hardware amps and sound much better (and in the case of the Hotones, as also much cheaper). This amp sounds like Bias' app amplified to 300W. I generally like their software, but the success of their software comes from a convenience selling-point, not because it sounds 100% like a real amp. With hardware, that convenience selling-point goes out the window, and they have to sell the device on the basis of sound, where they're lagging behind their competition. There's no point in having an infinite number of options when practically none of them sound good.
Paul really just needs to learn to dial in tones... I've dialed in a better tone from the Bias software on my iPad going straight into a PA, and it sounded great.
I played it live beside a Marshall and could not here the difference with my head turned. I love the abilities it has. Wet/dry rig easy. All those amps saved at the turn of a knob. Takes pedals very well. The demo doesn’t do it justice compared to how it feels live. Fun fun fun!
A Mooer GE200 for $280 makes this thing sound like a toy. I tried the BIAS powered head and it lasted about five hours before I scheduled the brown truck to come pick it back up for a return. I really wanted to like this mini, thinking they had improved on the original's tone architecture but it seems like they are every bit as fizzy here as they are on its $1299 big brother. Take moment 3:35 for example. Does anyone honestly think that sounds like a Mark IIc+? It sounds like an amplified kazoo.
The ge200 is trash compared with micro preamps and the preamp live and i can ensure you that this has a much higher quality than the ge200 and the preamp live
Max...so show us your demo vid of the GE200 and let us decide for ourselves. You just saying so makes it true? I love my RP360XP....but it's still a bit limited by comparison. One more thing...I never let the demo or even the manufacturer sell me on the model name. I just dial in the tones *I* want. The model name might be a guideline...but just use as a starting point not a perfect replica. Sorry you could not figure out how to operate the Bias head correctly. :(
And btw...if that were my Mark IIC model...I would have dial back the gain quite a bit more. But the fact is he was not demoing the IIC amp model.... but the ability to use your guitar volume to clean up the amp.
I have one of these and it is amazing! You can get really aggressive sounds and they are clear. Great demonstration.
The most tweakable device I ever played with. Completely awesome!
Analog sound + digital reliability = win win!
