Vanguard lol I swear god I didn’t read your com and I came with the same ..hhh .. which means it’s insane how this guy play is pleasing the ears and the brain !!!
The noticeable thing in this video I get with is that the guy has one of the best hand on guitar I’ve ever heard in my last 25 years listening and playing .. smooth subtle and melodic.. with the voice and the accent of jamie humphries.. Anyway great demo I enjoyed more the play than the sound.. any possible way to learn the way he plays??
I didn’t quite understand your iPad can I get the exact model and the specs no ever talks about this part not all iPads act the same an there is so many versions please help thanks
I don't own a ipad yet, but I take it that your new upgrade Ipad is just the regular ipad and not the ipad pro? I would love to get back into guitar but would love to practice and possibly record a lttle bit with the ipad. I have to decide if the regular ipad with 2 gig of ram will be ok or go with the ipad pro.10.5. thanx for a great video, and as always your playing.
Yeah I was on the channel .. there’s lessons there .. I’m lucky .. I found a master of the best melodic way to play guitare who can teach me doing things right.. I’m tired of all that mechanical lessons which lead to nowhere ..
Hey man, this comment is from 7 months ago and I'm not TQ, but it will get you that ACDC cranked sound all right. but I don't know about Brian may, because his tone isn't all AC30, there is top boost and some other effects involved... might be better to go with FX 2for that.
Great demo here Tom. I too have this including the Blues Pack and Glassy Pack. I don't have the Celestion stuff yet but plan this for the future. Do you have any tones in the Tonecloud minus the Celestion cabs?
Direct out from iPad using what? Then into an interface and out monitors? Please give us the path please! I have Bias Amp 2 on my Mac but thinking about loading it on my iPad as well? Just want to see if worth it or not?
Dynamic range on this is good, but in comparison to the Neural DSP amp plugins it sounds too compressed and digital. I've been using Bias 4 years and i've been a big fan of it, but now it''s the NTS Suite all day everyday.
Help! I get great time with bias fx 2, but the latency just kills it forme...any tips regarding latency...I have tried focusrite, behringer, Zoom, orange teleport audio interfaces..
I've had bias amp for years and it always sounds dirty to me even in the clean mods. What could cause that. Working on iPad air 2. It just sounds like toys sounds. Nothing like what I'm hearing from you.
Hi Tom. How are you connecting the guitar to the iPad and how are you listening to the output. Is it a nice portable setup or are you anchored to some expensive gear?
Hi Paul - for this video I'm using the ipad camera connection kit to connect a £200 Focusrite Scarlett interface to my iPad. The guitar is DI'd into input one on the interface and you are hearing the output from the Focusrite recorded directly into Studio One/Logic/Cubase etc. You could use a pair of headphones or studio monitors to listen to your tone.
@@tomquayleguitar Hi Tom i really appreciate your work and videos. I'm having similar set up (Mac Pro, Focusrite Saffire Pro) but instead of what i hear in your demo, i get crappy (believe me) and extremeley poor sound. Now i realizesd that i missed Di. Can you suggest one decent or better the DI you used. Thanks
🤷🏾♂️If I buy bias amp 2, I don’t need to buy the 1st version of bias amp? I thought it only additional sounds and not the old sounds + additional sounds.
Positive Grid makes great apps, I use BIAS Amp and BIAS FX for the long time and I like it,.....but they really didn't sound that good in the "real world", especially the new BIAS AMP2 . I play with the decent gear /good guitars, Presonus AudioBox iTwo audio interface, MacBook Pro, studio speakers Tannoy reveal 802.... Annnddd no - BIAS AMP2 didn't sound that good! It requires a lot of work to come out with good tone. It's too quiet on my opinion, compared with old version and to other VST Plugins as TH3 and others.
I decided to watch this video to support Tom, despite my distaste for amp modelers, and I have to say that I find the tones downright repugnant. I will watch the other two videos for the same reason, but I am already confident that I still am not interested in Bias-which makes me feel better about the lack of features I had hoped would be added in Bias 2.
Nicks Corsair S1 Tips - Yes. The way to do this is upload any preset to Tonecloud from the iPad, then download them onto your PC. You can do this in reverse as well to get presets from your PC to your iPad. I use this latter method to take amp-matched presets I created on my Mac and copy them to my iPad.
Carvin5150CFH Holy crap! Brilliant man just gave me a reply! Let me ask you, are we asking for a price? Were just having fun, if that disturb you while you support LGBT, think again genius.
This sounds fantastic because of 85% amazing playing and 15% BIAS AMP 2
Ive been playing and studying music and guitar for 30 years. I don't listen to guitar players much anymore but when I do, I listen to Tom Quayle.
Vanguard lol I swear god I didn’t read your com and I came with the same ..hhh .. which means it’s insane how this guy play is pleasing the ears and the brain !!!
Just got this and I’m blown away.
What an incredible touch .Still impressed every time again and again .
Tom is my favorite Guitar player... Brilliant demo
Tom is a mind blowing player!!
Your welcome to join our Bias Fx and Bias Amp facebook group tone, tips and sharing :)
I'd like to know how he gets it sounding like this because when I try it, it doesn't sound like this lol

Sounds ace!
To be honest I have dismissed bias app for a while but I will be definitely checking it out.
Nice Clean Playing. Do you read music? You play really well, also how do you record the great stereosoynd?
I didn’t quite understand your iPad can I get the exact model and the specs no ever talks about this part not all iPads act the same an there is so many versions please help thanks

I want to sound like Brian May. Can it emulate a VOX AC30? As well as Marshall setup to sound like Malcolm and Angus Young?

Stunning demo, but... Can you let us know which interface you were using with the iPad? Can make a hell of a difference.... Did I hear Omec Teleport?
NICE SOUND AND GREAT REVIEW

Tom! Quick question! Do you give guitar lessons? :3
Is this Standard - Pro or Elite?
Great demo!
Hey Tom, did you connect the iPad to an amp ? Or is it directly output from iPad ?
Btw, it sounds really nice.
This is the direct output from the ipad.
Direct out from iPad using what? Then into an interface and out monitors? Please give us the path please! I have Bias Amp 2 on my Mac but thinking about loading it on my iPad as well? Just want to see if worth it or not?
Like Josh I can't get that sound what am I doing wrong??
I have iPad Air how does that sound ?
Hi Tom, did you have any other effect on the outside that gives you a little delay that I hear on the video? Thank You Regards!!!
Dynamic range on this is good, but in comparison to the Neural DSP amp plugins it sounds too compressed and digital. I've been using Bias 4 years and i've been a big fan of it, but now it''s the NTS Suite all day everyday.
I have these in my iPad but apples update screwed me , now I can’t use adapter. I spent all that money for nothing.
How do i plug my guitar on my ipad?
I-rig
how to create a preset by adding delay, tubescreamer, etc on bias amp 2 while using iphone?
Help! I get great time with bias fx 2, but the latency just kills it forme...any tips regarding latency...I have tried focusrite, behringer, Zoom, orange teleport audio interfaces..
Weird I’m using a rocksmith cable and I don’t have any problems
What to I need to make sound really good I have good pear of headphone Bose
I've had bias amp for years and it always sounds dirty to me even in the clean mods. What could cause that. Working on iPad air 2. It just sounds like toys sounds. Nothing like what I'm hearing from you.
Overscooped or something. I've had it for years also. Never upgraded and never use it.
How’s the latency? I have an iPad Air 2 and I can’t stand the latency using Bias. I bought and deleted it in minutes.
I used the new iPad 9.7" for this and it was great. My old iPad 3 (from 2012) struggled in a big way though.
Tmidiman IPad 4 and IPad Pro 10.5” runs perfectly:) great demo!
I purchased itrack docking station. You can connect speakers to it and headphones. And no latency.

I had the exact same question. After this demo, I’m going to buy this :-)

Sorry to ask a very dumb question, but what does ‘IR’ stand for? Thanks Tom, great demo.
IR = Impulse Response
Did you have a compressor engaged? Sounds like the attack is being compressed somewhat.
Yes, I think there is something between the guitar and the ipad for sure.
Very dark sounding drive tones...
I have horrible latency with it

Same problem here. I own bias amp 1, and the sound I get with the bias amp 2, same settings, is dull.
First comment!
it sux a55, sorry...
LOADS OF PRESETS..LOL 4 ON EACH..

no android, no money from me.
AlexisGitarre Android hasn’t conquered the latency issues with the OS
can you take the tonecloud presets off the Ipad app and use them with the PC desktop version
Nicks Corsair S1 Tips - Yes. The way to do this is upload any preset to Tonecloud from the iPad, then download them onto your PC. Sieg Mac hey "first comment" guess what you win-absolutely nothing! who cares!? answer: nobody. Knock out that childish nonsense....or dont.
