    A friend started taking me to a local Casino in September and taught me how to play slots.
    In December, I was given $20 for food at the Casino. I had earned over 200 points so I guess that $20 food credit was my 10% comp.
    Thank you guys for the explanation!

    Is it much easier for them to track your profit, pinned with your name and ID? Eventually they can id you as such player that they do not want to deal with.

      Depending on the bets you make it can differ drastically. I know if you are betting the pass or don't pass line and betting a lot of free odds, most casinos don't even take the free odds into account when comping you because they have no house edge on that part of the bet.

  • @AndromedanPrince
    @AndromedanPrince 6 років тому +5

    The palms casino has been giving me free play for table games but it's a one time bet and it's usually $100 or $50 and they make you bet it all at once. Some casinos will give you promotional chips and pay you back in real chips when you win.

    • @laloeastside9669
      @laloeastside9669 6 років тому

      Yeah, i get those one time free play's also. I guess if you're a slots player, you can play them one time but you can only play them on one session, and you have to play them one time through to get it back in cash, if you even win anything. I'll take my positive EV at the tables, and their little chicken shit freebies for table game players. But they really screw their slots players, and the players think they're getting this really good deal since they get a free room and meal.

      Generally, the slot machine returns are better at downtown casinos and also at the "locals" casinos along Boulder Highway and in North Las Vegas. See more here - www.americancasinoguide.com/slot-machine-payback-statistics.html#Nevada

    • @mydogskips2
      @mydogskips2 6 років тому +4

      Why would you ignore a free room comp? As long as there is no obligation to play I don't see why you would. I don't know where you live, but any decent hotel room would be better than where I live. And yes, they want to see you using the comp, but they're really only interested in watching you lose your money in the casino.

  • @laloeastside9669

    Hey guys. Awesome video. I had a question. If your an AP, and you play rated at some casinos for comps using a players card, but you still use AP play and have a meager year to date win (Lets say hypothetically you have 300 hours play between several Total Rewards casinos, and you have a year to date win of over maybe $5000); are they gonna look twice at that and say "maybe we should check his play next time he sits down"? Or is that number too small to even care about, and will still gonna comp you based on 300 hours of theo, regardless of the win size? When WOULD that win size start to draw attention?

    There are many Dueces Wild machines which have the following pay schedule: 1-2-2-3-4-13-16-200-800. This is almost the same as what you have at El Cortez casino except they have machines that pay 1-2-2-3-4-13-16-400-940 with higher amounts for the top two prizes. I can't find a figure for the payout on these machines which don't have the increased amounts for the top 2 prizes. What is the correct figure?

  • @MondoLeStraka

    Especially if they like you the PB might increase your minimum bet. I've had mine raised 5 - maybe 10 times the amount on card. So be nice to the PC and especially the dealer. A little OT but try to tip someone something. That loss of EV will lengthen your stay.

    On the craps table, how do they track what numbers or what part of the table you are betting? Just curious. I never see anyone writing anything down when I or anyone else is playing.

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  5 років тому

      Well the field and come/don't come bets, it is up to you to keep track of which bet is yours and for pass/don't pass, you place it in front of you. But for pretty much every other bet on the table, you will see little lines about an inch long around the perimeter of the box and the area between each of those lines signifies the spot someone is standing at on the table. So if you look closely, if you are in the back left corner of the table they will place the bet you made between the two lines in the back left corner of the box of whatever bet you make.

    Can you explain how tier points are won? These are points needed to move up in Rewards level. It looks like you need to spend about $120,000 in slot play to move up. Cycling through (?) $30 per point is not clear to me. Thanks...

      Try to put all your play in at the casino where you are comped. They will use your playing record to decide whether or not to send you more offers. And, don't bet extra just to get more comps. Just bet at a level where you feel comfortable.

    Question on players club comps. If I have my "MLife" card that I use at all MGM properties..., should I play only at 1 MGM property to get the most comps, or if I spread it over several of their properties, will I get the same offers? For example, if I have $300 and I spend it all at Mandalay Bay, or instead, I spend $100 at each site, ... i.e. NewYork NewYork, The MGM, and Mandalay Bay, will I get the same kind of comps? Is it better to stick with one casino EVEN if they are all on the same players club?

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  3 роки тому

      Each property will rate you separately. It would be best to put all the play in at the one casino you like best.

    One time I was playing craps and winning at Caesars palace. When I colored up they have me a $1000 chip and when I went to the cage the lady did something in the computer with my id and said it was because I had the $1000 chip.
    Another time I wasn’t doing well and they gave me 10 $100 chips back instead.
    What is the meaning of this? I don’t think I was offered any comps either time.

      They wanted your identification details, so they covertly “bought” them by handing you a chip. Probably thought you were counting cards and wanted to see if you were in the database of advantaged players. You were on craps though, so it could be for other reasons they deemed suspicious. Just a theory

    Would it be advantageous for my partner and I to get two cards under just one of our names then playing them both at the same time? If it matters, I prefer $1 machines while he prefers $0.01 machines. I know the house advantage is higher on the ones he plsys but since we split our bankroll and both play $500 each during our visit wouldn't that look more like we played $1,000 in one day as opposed to $500 separately?

    • @TheJackpotGents
      @TheJackpotGents  6 років тому

      You would be better off putting all of your play on one person's card. Then, on the next visit, switch and put all your play on the other person's card. PLAY FOR THE MONEY. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO PLAYING FOR COMPS. My favorite comp story: an ignorant craps player who played $100 flat bet with MAX ODDS. After losing $10,000 he wanted to know how many points he got. Since his flat bet was the only part of his bet rated, only a fraction of the $10,000 for rated. He went ballistic over the few points he got. I wanted to say, "What about the $10,000 you just lost?"

    I’m not sure if you’re familiar with casinos in Maryland. Namely, Maryland Live. I’ve just started going maybe a month. I play $.05 slots. I usually sit for no more than 1 1 and 1/2. And usually walk away with SOMETHING. The most was about $240… almost two weeks ago. Well, this past Thursday, I lost $80 in maybe 30 minutes. That was deflating. Does using that card aid in deciding “let them take a loss” this time?

    • @TheJackpotGents

      The vast majority of casinos base your comps on your "theoretical" loss. So, whether you win or lose, the comps will be the same.

      My local casino is always busy and I have lost $0 since I started going in September.
      I play the slots whenever they have freeplays and don't take any of my own money with me. I keep all my winnnings in one place and don't spend any of it.
