I've seen these channels too and they're bewildering to me. People are curious about a game's features that they can never seem to trigger themselves. A LOT of people live in places gambling isn't legal so this is the only way they can experience the machines. Even if you have access to casinos not every casino has every slot machine so people like to see what other slot machines are out there. Lots of people can't afford to max bet even $5 on a machine so seeing someone else do it gives them a little bit of that thrill without losing hundreds of their own dollars. There are often times that I'm not even playing at the casino but instead I'm watching my friends play and I'm still having fun watching them trigger cool stuff, YT slots is that same experience online. One time I put $200 into a high-limit $10 machine, at a max bet of $30, and it hit a $20,000 jackpot after 5 bets. Steve and Matt, thank you for another great video to help us become smarter gamblers. I have a question that this video kind of answered but still left me unsure. My area (Baltimore) has 2 casinos. One is privately owned (Live! Casino), the other is a Caesar property (Horseshoe Baltimore). I have played at both, and belong to both players club. I have found that the Live! Casino you seem to come out even more often, but they don’t really reward you with much until you get into the much higher tiers of their club. The Horseshoe on the other hand, you seem to lose, but they reward you for it with the Total Rewards players club benefits more (free drinks, discounted food, rooms at other Caesar properties). With your experience in the gambling community, at which of those properties should I focus my time and more dedicated play?
I think the answer is up to you as to which casino is best for you. You may want to compare the comps by keeping track of how much you play by putting an identical amount of play in at both casinos. Just make sure you play the same denomination machine. Then, wait and see what they send you in the mail. The problem is that it usually takes two months from the end of the month you play in to get your new offers. So, if you play in April, the offers based on that play would not start until June. It would be a long and tedious process, but you could definitely compare them by doing that. You wouldn't know which casino had "tighter" machines, but you would know which casino gave better comps. Also, aren't the slots in Maryland owned by the state? If so, I would think that they are programmed to pay back the same percentages at all casinos.

The house has a mathematical edge on practically every single game, so in order for you to win you have to defy the odds, something which is statistically unlikely. You have to be lucky to win, the casino doesn't, it has the math on its side. Simply put, every game in the casino is a "rigged" game. That's not to say that there is cheating or something untoward going on, there isn't, there are very strict laws and regulations to be followed in order to run a gaming establishment, all the games and their rules/conditions for payback are clearly stated for all to know, BUT the expected payout for every game is mathematically calculated and the casino simply sets the rules so that the game is in their favor. The house edge may be small, maybe just half a percent(most games are usually more) but that's all it takes to erode your bankroll/take your money. Also, players play at their leisure and are free to quit at any time. You may get lucky once or twice, but doing so every time, or even just most of the time, is extremely unlikely.

Generally, on any slot machine with a bonus round, you want to be just enough to be eligible for the bonus round. Usually, that means only betting one coin on each pay-line. So, if you had a 40-line penny machine you would want to bet one coin on each line, or a total of 40 cents, in order to be eligible for a bonus round. The max bet might be 10 coins on each line, or a total of $4 and you really wouldn't get any benefit for betting those max coins. Most games are like that, but not all and you should read the help screen to decide how much you should bet. As far as Wheel of Fortune is concerned, there are many variations, but I believe that they are all progressives and you should always bet max coins in order to be eligible to win the progressive jackpot. If you play that game you should realize that the long-term payback percentage on that game will be lower than other non-themed games in the same denomination. The reason is that those games have to pay licensing fees and they are more expensive for the casinos to operate. Therefore, I would suggest you only play that game on occasion and not all the time. Otherwise, it will eat up your bankroll much faster than playing regular non-themed slots.

That would only work for "must pay by" slots where you know the machine must pay out before a certain dollar amount is accumulated in the jackpot. Otherwise, watching would be of no use to you because the outcomes are all random and the machine wouldn't have to pay out at any particular time.

My question: How much of my dollars I put in, or how much I play in the machine....example, I put in $5 out of my pocket in a $1 machine...I win 200 credits...I keep on playing and I win another 100 credits...I keep on playing and I win 300 credits...I cash out $100 in the end...My investment of $5 got me $500 in play and $100 to take home....Now are my benefits based on the $5 I put in out of my pocket, or the $505 I put through the machine??? I worked at casino for almost 20 years….the only slot machine you can “beat” is video poker BUT with modern Casino technology they know which players are advantage playing and if they’re using a club card the points for cash back and comps are given at a lesser value than a player who’s playing poorly.
Don't get a players card if your always winning that's how the Casino tracks your play to see if your making money and stop you in your tracks. I went last week. The entire group of machines were paying out. Including mine. Half of us were not using cards. One woman won 4 times on one machine back to back no card. 2$ bets and up. I think it depends on date, time, amount of bet, machine payout rules/odds, And your attitude. One guy was playing 3 grand all night, machine hopping, but he was agitated that he was 5 grand in. He also said he wins more in the daytime. He was playing 20$ a spin, the max bet. I won on another machine playing lowest amount. Every time I cashed out on winning machine tho I would start losing.

Liked the video, one thing I would like to add is that in the case of playing a machine for a jackpot, if the meter is 1%(it goes up 1$ for every 100$ you put through) if you play from the breakeven point in your example 45$ jackpot that must hit by 50, your EV is about+25$ because it can hit earlier. I've been doing this for a little while now and I'm making good money with it.

I have a question that this video kind of answered but still left me unsure. My area (Baltimore) has 2 casinos. One is privately owned (Live! Casino), the other is a Caesar property (Horseshoe Baltimore). I have played at both, and belong to both players club. I have found that the Live! Casino you seem to come out even more often, but they don’t really reward you with much until you get into the much higher tiers of their club. The Horseshoe on the other hand, you seem to lose, but they reward you for it with the Total Rewards players club benefits more (free drinks, discounted food, rooms at other Caesar properties). With your experience in the gambling community, at which of those properties should I focus my time and more dedicated play?
I think the answer is up to you as to which casino is best for you. You may want to compare the comps by keeping track of how much you play by putting an identical amount of play in at both casinos. Just make sure you play the same denomination machine. Then, wait and see what they send you in the mail. The problem is that it usually takes two months from the end of the month you play in to get your new offers. So, if you play in April, the offers based on that play would not start until June. It would be a long and tedious process, but you could definitely compare them by doing that. You wouldn't know which casino had "tighter" machines, but you would know which casino gave better comps. Also, aren't the slots in Maryland owned by the state? If so, I would think that they are programmed to pay back the same percentages at all casinos.

I have played machines alot . the only strategy that i find that works is go in with 50 or 100 dollars, spin and if you go over your intial money buy 20-50 dollars choose whatever fits you best. you leave and the recharge your own credit the next day. meaning you only allow yourself to lose 50-100 everyday. cause somestimes you can win and get a feature and you could win 300-500 even. but we all know if you keep pressing that button all your winnings will be gone . so its best to stick to a formulae and then just have fun playing it. also be very grateful when you win small and leave. i think thats the most important formula to success because when you dont take your wins and you dont run eventually thats when the house wins. this way i find gives you the least amount of chance of loosing alot to a casino.
What you are not saying is that, a jackpot can be at the max or close to it . However, once it hits that max that it must pay by- it can stay there for days.

The house has a mathematical edge on practically every single game, so in order for you to win you have to defy the odds, something which is statistically unlikely.
You have to be lucky to win, the casino doesn't, it has the math on its side.
Simply put, every game in the casino is a "rigged" game. So, the answer is that the result on the screen/reel would be the same whether you bet the minimum amount or the maximum amount. That being said, it is the pay table on the machine that will determine how much you will win for the result of your spin.

Generally, on any slot machine with a bonus round, you want to be just enough to be eligible for the bonus round. Usually, that means only betting one coin on each pay-line. So, if you had a 40-line penny machine you would want to bet one coin on each line, or a total of 40 cents, in order to be eligible for a bonus round. The max bet might be 10 coins on each line, or a total of $4 and you really wouldn't get any benefit for betting those max coins. Most games are like that, but not all and you should read the help screen to decide how much you should bet. As far as Wheel of Fortune is concerned, there are many variations, but I believe that they are all progressives and you should always bet max coins in order to be eligible to win the progressive jackpot. If you play that game you should realize that the long-term payback percentage on that game will be lower than other non-themed games in the same denomination. The reason is that those games have to pay licensing fees and they are more expensive for the casinos to operate. Therefore, I would suggest you only play that game on occasion and not all the time. Otherwise, it will eat up your bankroll much faster than playing regular non-themed slots.

Can anyone answer this my girlfriend and I go quite a bit. We both take the same amount of money. And she can play a game and enjoy it because she plays up and down and so on. But for me I never get to play any games like that. There's no up and down. It makes me feel like they don't want me there. And it gets really depressing. That would only work for "must pay by" slots where you know the machine must pay out before a certain dollar amount is accumulated in the jackpot. Otherwise, watching would be of no use to you because the outcomes are all random and the machine wouldn't have to pay out at any particular time.
