It’s a bit sad that UA-cam puts videos like yours and other educational material in a restricted box while channels that are divisive or repetitive can reach for the stars, monetarily. I also want to personally thank all the Audiology Associates for the dedication to bring the world these videos to teach us about ear health, possible disorders and, mostly not to be afraid. I'm really appalled at the number of people saying they are unsubscribing. Apparently they've neither read or listened to what's been told by Rhys or Mrs. B. None of us are losing any content here. If I could afford a membership I'd be willing to support you for all the extra effort and time you give us. But I can't so I'll remain a subscriber and still get great content.
All of you complaining don’t realize that they take away from clinic hours and thus money to make these videos. He can’t make them without taking a loss. They can keep making the videos if there are memberships. He’s not getting rich off posting content. Unsubscribe or don’t but before you judge, it helps to understand how this works. People will pay for content so you can still get some for free. I had another channel talk about this. You aren’t losing anything by not but he can keep making them if people do.
To be honest the videos grants money too: directly with ads and indirectly because it brings more patients. It's probably their biggest source of money :)

This reminded me of an experience I had 40 years ago. My old school elderly GP was syringing my ears and he was at it for a while and it was getting uncomfortable. And he suddenly swore, and told me to get up and stand still, reached out for this long tweezer like tool, and very slowly and carefully gripped the wax and pulled it out. He said 'got the devil'. Never forget that lol.
Do you ever wonder historically how many people were deaf and it was just wax that nobody could see or get rid of? I think about things like that a lot lol

I just want to say that I will always support this channel as much as possible. I would love to get a membership but due to finances that will be in the future. I hope you continue to grow the channel, continue to educate the masses about ear health, spreading joy and positivity, and hopefully not be too discouraged by the negativity. Running a business costs time and money, making videos takes time from actually fully running the business, that costs money. So a membership that people CAN CHOOSE to purchase (they're not even forced to so I don't know why people are even complaining) is a good way go try and recoup some of that money to help the business and employees and even patients😊
The amount of people here who don't understand how UA-cam channels make money is incredible. Not a single healthcare-related channel is making Mr. Beast levels of revenue from ads alone.

So the regular content is still available, will never go away. Sometimes you'll add special videos, and to watch these you pay the membership. It's not like your regular content is going behind a pay wall. This isn't hard to understand, seeing as you don't get ad revenue and you pour hours of work into this channel. I too would like getting paid for something when I work. Almost every other UA-cam channel has a membership, and there isn't a lot of complaints about this. Just so you know, viewers, if AA does a livestream here on UA-cam, sometimes people will just *give away* memberships to other viewers, just to be kind. It happened to me, and it might happen to you as well. There's no reason to announce your unsubscription, or your departure. If you don't want to pay for this content, its your choice, but don't go around telling these guys that "content creators make enough money" or that "you need to unsubscribe", that's just childish and ignorant.
Im having issues with skin affecting my hearing so i ordered medical grade olive oil off Amazon. Hoping that helps based off of what i watched from you all!
Hopefully with memberships they'll have the option of taking on an editor. That way they can focus on their audiology work without adding another major job on to it.
They already have it difficult, they are offering all these other extra stuff on top. I suppose it's only possible hiring someone otherwise no time for family and clinic will be really compromised
Hey don't worry I'm still subscribed. Plus your patients are the one that really matter. I don't mind the plug and the announcement, but could we have some timestamps since when rewatching, I have trouble finding the part where you describe the patient's pain and why the cure was removing the earwax as opposed to say... removing pus from the middle ear (a different cause of ear pain)

I'm disappointed but not surprised by all the negative comments about paid memberships. People don't seem to understand that demonetised channels *don't earn ad revenue* like normal channels do. Instead of blaming youtube for making it unsustainable for their creators to produce quality videos, they blame the creators when they find other ways to fund their free content.
Thank you for understanding. It wasn’t an easy decision to make after 7 years making content for free but I spend about 8-10 hours a week editing and uploading videos as well as me and taylor taking time out of clinic to voice them over. The only time we earn anything from UA-cam is if a person has you tube premium so it’s very little.

Aaaahhhhh! I hate seeing hairs left in the ear canal! But that's just me being super picky.... I've had to go to a specialist to have hair removed (from haircuts), and while it is a relief to have it done, the bill afterward isn't pleasant at all.
Yes! So glad I'm not alone in this! Whenever I have hairs in my ear canal I can hear them sort of plucking the smaller ear hairs like a music box, but extra loud and not pretty. And they ITCH, and they aren't easy to remove even with one of those ear cameras from amazon. It isn't easy to fish around in there with a camera AND a pair of tweezers, no matter how small the tools are. How frustrating that they just left them when they could have removed them just as easily!! 😤😫
If anyone is legit upset about the announcement of extra paid content ... lighten up, you have literally lost nothing. I can't imagine being so self-absorbed as to be offended by something that doesn't affect you in any regard.
That last one is what Q-tips (cotton buds?) are made for basically. Tidying up the outside of the ear canal NOT removing wax from inside the canal. 🤷♀️
A very reasonable price if you want to sign up for a subscription. I have certainly spent a lot more for a lot less lol! These fellows have given us great value at zero cost for years at the expense of their time and efforts to promote a state of the art technique.
I watch without audio often, and just read the comments. I see there r changes afoot and some complaints about that. My only complaint is u not getting that big white hair with the tweezer tool thingy at the end!! 😅😅😅

So the regular content is still available, will never go away. Sometimes you'll add special videos, and to watch these you pay the membership. It's not like your regular content is going behind a pay wall. This isn't hard to understand, seeing as you don't get ad revenue and you pour hours of work into this channel. I too would like getting paid for something when I work. Almost every other UA-cam channel has a membership, and there isn't a lot of complaints about this. Just so you know, viewers, if AA does a livestream here on UA-cam, sometimes people will just *give away* memberships to other viewers, just to be kind. It happened to me, and it might happen to you as well.
There's no reason to announce your unsubscription, or your departure. If you don't want to pay for this content, its your choice, but don't go around telling these guys that "content creators make enough money" or that "you need to unsubscribe", that's just childish and ignorant.

I don't mind the plug and the announcement, but could we have some timestamps since when rewatching, I have trouble finding the part where you describe the patient's pain and why the cure was removing the earwax as opposed to say... removing pus from the middle ear (a different cause of ear pain)

I'm disappointed but not surprised by all the negative comments about paid memberships. People don't seem to understand that demonetised channels *don't earn ad revenue* like normal channels do. Instead of blaming youtube for making it unsustainable for their creators to produce quality videos, they blame the creators when they find other ways to fund their free content.
Thank you for understanding. It wasn’t an easy decision to make after 7 years making content for free but I spend about 8-10 hours a week editing and uploading videos as well as me and taylor taking time out of clinic to voice them over. The only time we earn anything from UA-cam is if a person has you tube premium so it’s very little.

Aaaahhhhh! I hate seeing hairs left in the ear canal! But that's just me being super picky.... I've had to go to a specialist to have hair removed (from haircuts), and while it is a relief to have it done, the bill afterward isn't pleasant at all.

Yes! So glad I'm not alone in this! Whenever I have hairs in my ear canal I can hear them sort of plucking the smaller ear hairs like a music box, but extra loud and not pretty. And they ITCH, and they aren't easy to remove even with one of those ear cameras from amazon. It isn't easy to fish around in there with a camera AND a pair of tweezers, no matter how small the tools are. How frustrating that they just left them when they could have removed them just as easily!! 😤😫
