I've always been hard on Mick Mars for whatever reason, but it's really not the same without him. John 5 is wickedly talented, but may be a bit too polished for this music. The nastiness isn't there.

Maybe not, but there is no bass part in that particular part of the song when he's pumping his fist at 0:54.
