Great instruction, bring forward , send backwards, send to back are complicated to grasp when Easel doesn't make layer numbers clear
Yes, you have to monitor yourself to keep track of what you are doing.
Nice! Quick tip: If you use edge (at least in my case) which is also chromium based, things go faster than in regular chrome.

Quick question, how deep would you go in your cut depth on your logos? I’m using a 60° v-bit but I lose some of the lettering. Should I go to a 15°-45° v-bit instead? Thanks! I’m gonna keep practicing on some scraps for now.
Another wonderful video! YOU are the reason I am starting to think I can actually do this. Quick question: You had me all the way until you did the -5 on the x axis? Not sure the advantage of that?
The -5 and the 0 were just coordinates to place one layer on top of the other. You could use any coordinates that you chose just as long as you use the same for both layers to then be able to resize.
I KNOW... this is basic .. very basic. BUT... Do you have a video that teaches how to take real world measurements & set up a project in easel that will produce the exact size after cutting? I LOVE all of your videos .. Thank You so much
I use the drop down menu and use the exact measurements to place the objects. For example to "center the material" menu item places the object directly in the center when I use the center point as the reference. Another example when I place the two pieces together at -5,0 for the x,y That created the exact position. I am working on another project now where I made a pencil drawing first then made the CAD drawing with the exact measurements using the same method. That video will be out soon.

What is the cut depth of the stars and the logo? Thanks
Does the G-Code downloads with the design
You create the gcode and save it and you save the design file. You only send the gcode file to the controller software
How do you create the g codes I’m just starting out
What design program are you using?
How come my semper fideli never stays in my svg when i move it.It is in the original file

@@PawPawsWorkShop I import marine glob svg everytime i finish going through your video on offset for custom cnc flag design. After i combine and bring forward both images it looks good. the minute i drag it to my union i loose the words on little flag Semper fideli it stays back
After you do the offset, combine and set to zero cut. Then place the marine logo on top of the offset.
I have followed these instruction all the way to where you put the cursor on the edge to separate the outline from the image and I cannot separate. Nothing I do separates even if I follow this video
Are you separating the stars from the marine logo?
Do you have the stars as a group. If so you must ungroup them. In easel that would be the exploder app
When I use the offsetter the marine logo is blacked out when I pull it off the workpiece. Nothing separates the edge .
I ungrouped the stars put in a separate tile. Took marine logo copy and pasted to stars tile. With marine logo still highlighted I open the offsetter app. I set logo to 0.01 and uncheck to save original logo. Back on the drawing the logo is now mostly blacked out and anywhere I put the cursor there is no option to pull the outline away from the image whether highlighted or not. Something is missing from this video. A step or something is missing or easel has been updated and this method doesn’t work
Make a copy of the marine logo. With the first one use the Offsetter app. Yes, it will be black because it is a fill. Select to cut zero cut depth and place in the union. Then take the second marine logo and place on top. That’s it
