    This is actually a pretty good video, and also in Easel its possible to just click the plus at the very bottom to add a new page to set a different tool for different part of the body, it will easy be frustrating if you´ve got more than 5-6 different pages with different tools, to know what part to do first or what not, so it will be in the right order.

      Very good point! I have used that as well to use different sized bits to do different jobs and it does make things much more simple!

      @@JBirdCustoms so i started trying for myself and im stuck at shift delete. i cant seem to just delete the words without the body.....

    • @JBirdCustoms
      @JBirdCustoms  2 роки тому +1

      @@kyleconnolly5670 you may have it highlighted without realizing it... sometimes it can be a bit tricky seeing what's all highlighted. If there's a blue box around the body it's selected. You need to make sure the body is not selected when you delete.

    Hi I've watched this video a couple of times and it' very useful as I've been building Guitars for 25 years and I'm always looking at new techniques etc. I've built a cnc router and have been watching FreeCad and Fusion 360 tutorials and have been an Easel Pro user for a year to see what the benefits are, but I've started to question myself, what am I trying to be a Luthier or a CNC operator, the line is starting to get blurred for me, I'd be interested to hear what you think on this

    • @JBirdCustoms
      @JBirdCustoms  3 роки тому +2

      I feel like a cnc is just another tool. I know a lot of people feel it's "cheating" or whatever but it takes time to learn the ins and outs of using a cnc just like using a hand plane or a router and template. I personally like using my cnc to cut profiles and then shaping by hand. I feel like I get the best of both worlds that way. Thanks for checking out the video I appreciate it and thanks for the comment as well!

    Im following along with your great video, but Im at a point where if I select anything to delete, it also selects other lines that I want to keep. Holding shift and clicking doesnt help. Any idea on how to get past this. Im doing this on a laptop without a mouse - could that be the issue?

    • @JBirdCustoms
      @JBirdCustoms  Рік тому

      Possibly... I would probably get frustrated and just delete it line by line one at a time. It sucks and would take longer but is still an option to getting it done.

      @@JBirdCustoms Thanks for the reply. how would i select line by line?

    • @JBirdCustoms

      Clicking on each on individually... like I said it would take a lot longer but it's doable.

      The other option is head to jbirdcustomsguitars.etsy.com and grab the file already edited from there. It downloads as an svg or dxf ready to import!
