Another awesome video! Suspension and exhaust are my least favorite tasks, you make it a breeze. Cool calm and collected. Love the new center cap decals, hella nice touch.
Just had to add Tim, my other vehicles are a Expedition and a Ford E350 super duty van ! Love your positive attitude when working on these turds ! 😂 Working on my 95 rite now and it stinks ! Labor on love ?
i had to pull the upper control arms off to get the front end struts done, that too use vice grips to clamp the rear shocks while taking the nut off... pry bar to pull the arm down n get the greased bolt thru... needed to jack up the rear to get the shorter travel shocks in... it had blown out NAPA shocks for the last 13 years. "drill and tap/weld a oil fill shredder valve onto the shocks to re-fill with oil" i had seen new production fully serviceable shocks and struts "they come apart similar to a MX bike fork" but there not cheap. pushing on the rear end it would bounce off the ground nearly after a few... broke an axle because of the worn out shocks.
Question. I'm about to do the rear shocks on my 91 Cougar (it's an MN12 like your T-Bird, but without the electronic controller). The manual says the lower control arms have to have weight on them because the shock absorbers are also the lower stop. Did you have any problems getting the shocks off with no weight on the rear suspension? Thanks for the video!
Rears were super easy, I only had to use a jack on the lower control arms for the purpose of getting the bolt angle correct and to take load off the lower bolt. Otherwise it was one of the easiest jobs I've done.
Options are so limited at this point as I'm sure you've also found. Monroe and Gabriel are the only parts store shelf options I see. This would elimate the electronic suspension as well. I see Super coupe performance has coil over options but at $1600 for a pair thats commonly more than what most paid for their car. I always suggest sccoa or Tccoa forums or Facebook groups if there's a particular part you need. Several members hoard parts or give up on projects to fill the void.

Hey tim, any update on the 87tc? Thanks for the content!
Edit: Thanks for the update at the end!
Goal is to have the TC in my garage by June. Making a push to finalize the project black bird done end of May to make room.
@@628productions thank you so much for your work! Your videos hype me to work on my project :) cheers!
@@nukesploder that what this journey is all about, thanks for your comments to keep me motivated also 🤙🏼
Do you have a good front strut / shock to use? I was gonna use kyb rears with some vogtland springs but can’t find a good front shock

Amazing video buddy, Are you open to any product review that related to Auto led lighting? We would like to send our product for doing that
Be happy to do so, how can we get in touch
@@Vivianauxito will do it. Thanks!
Hey Tim I was wondering are you running spacer if so what what brand ???
No spacers on the wheels, mustang hubs, rear fenders are rolled for the 285s. Front 18x9 rear 18x10
What size wheels and tires are on the white car?
Front 18x9 with 245/45/18
Rear 18x10 with 275/40/18
How’s it ride with cut springs? I Plan on doing it on my 93. How many coils did you cut?
As mentioned they've been cut 10 years or better and rode great. I followed instructions on SCCoA...I want to say 2 coils front 1.5 rears.
@@628productions good to know... thanks
@@goldwheels2516 no problem, happy to help
Where did you get the stickers for the center caps? if you remember lol.
A member on TCCoA.com forums made them. Not sure their name or if they're still active / still producing.
@@628productions thanks, I’ll do some searching or post a thread.
