For the people complaining about me 'Interrupting' Philip, I apologise that it clearly broke your train of thought while watching this video. I always try and keep my interviews on this channel relaxed and informal, in fact I have been complimented and thanked for this approach several times by people I have interviewed. However I am not a trained interviewer/presenter, I am a cameraman, and so will not always get the balance correct. I'm sure you can all appreciate that.
We were both very tired while filming this as it was the end of a long day of talking about the camera so I was trying to keep energy levels high. If the style of interviewing bothered you, I apologise.

From PB's expressions, I could sense his reluctance to describe the prospects & positive points of said camera with features comparable to actual cine cams with 100K cine lens 😀. Cool interview.!! 👍👍👍

At 4:45 it's stated the the URSA Mini Pro is "EF only". Of course, this is not correct. Any one of Canon, Nikon, PL or B4 mounts are user-swappable for it. This Kinefinity camera looks to be a wonderful camera. Much thanks for the interview, gents. 👍
Your completely right. What my tired brain was thinking of was that its still a camera with a large flange distance which means you are limited slightly with the lenses you can adapt to it

Is true for the original URSA Mini however? Which is limited to either EF or PL, can't switch between them. That is a feature of the newer and more expensive Pro version.
you are right but I think what he meant is URSA can not take any mireless lens like the popular e mount

So you can get the E mount. Put on a Canon FD - E mount speedbooster and have "fullframe" look on my vintage primes?
Yes but not fullframe look tho. The sensor has a 1.85x crop factor. With a speedbooster you will get roughly 1.3x crop factor

Exactly, its halfway between S35 and M4/3rds
I actually quite like shooting with a 1.3x crop, its a nice compromise between full frame and S35

Those things are all true, but they are definitely not deal breakers. For the price, the Terra 4K offers a huge amount!

What outputs does terra 4k and 6k has?
I've been waiting for the S35 5k version for forever but they've removed it from the site.........
It doesn’t look like the 5k is ever coming out. We are focusing on the 4K and the new announcement on the 18th March.

So, for mount flexibility, there's this, Sony's, and the Cion, that can handle anything from E-mount outwards for FFD.
That EF mount on the EVA1 looks silly now,..
For the sensitivity, the Sony FS cameras are king, but the Jello,.. Is this Rolling Shutter or Global Shutter?
Its not a global shutter, just like those other cameras you mention aren't. However I dont notice much rolling shutter.

Cion's Global Shutter - Cmosis 12000 sensor.
I own the only Cion with E-mount, m4/3 mount, and EF Speedbooster.
Next time you interview someone please let them finish their answer before interrupting with your next thought or question.
Phil will you be showing the footage examples of it once you've had a proper chance to use it?
He will be sharing lots, but probably will take him quite a while to work on it as he is only doing it in his spare time and it takes a lot of work!
In the mean time we will have lots of content over the next month or so with the camera.

...kinda wanting this...I work in state government media and seeing people verbally truncate other people's statements is part and parcel to the camera work I do... This actually didn't irritate me as much as it used to...or maybe it's just worse at work...or maybe the subject matter here is light years more interesting!!haha

Hate to ask this, is there any ethics statement here. Ie is Mr Bloom being payed by Kinefinty. Sorry to sound like a Naysayer, I am a huge fan, but it does make a different.
No he’s not. He was obviously paid by us to be there on our stand for the day. But in no way have we or Kinefinity had any influence on his opinions or what he says to the press.

Thanks Carl for clarifying, I didn't mean to offend anyone. So Philip is being payed by you and you are the UK home of Kinefinity. All makes sense.
Well, sort of. Philip was paid his day rate for his time at our stand at the BSC show. That fee realistically only covers him turning up and talking to customers on our stand. We have no control over what Philip says about us, Kinefinity or any of the other brands we work with.
If Philip wanted to say the camera was the worst one hes ever seen, he was completely free to do so

Honestly, I'm going to be harsh here but the reality is you are in film and broadcast, learn how to allow someone to finish important thoughts and stop interrupting your contributor that you are asking questions to!! Extremely frustrating.
Carefully it is: Rolling Shutter SENSOR. for 3999$ just brain.
Pretty much every camera in this price point is based on a Rolling Shutter

Sony F55 is probably nearly the only *good* cinema camera with a global shutter, this is a very rare feature.
