Portland St alum here - that 2015 season was magical for us; too bad we didn't go further in the FCS playoffs, but we had six FBS transfers that year, four of whom were from power 5 schools. Fun fact: PSU went 9-2 in 2015, then 0-11 in 2017, just two seasons later. The duality of college football.
Friendly reminder that the Kansas season in question came in the middle of their streak of 46 straight road losses, and 56 straight conference road losses. Having said that, they at least had some success at home, as in 2016, a mere year after this, they beat Texas in football, for the first time since 1938, thus leading to a plethora of memes. In addition, the game that broke their road loss streak was also a win against Texas.
If you ever do a 2020's list - PLEASE include DIII Bethany College. We sucked; 1-9 seasons in 2021, 2022, and 2024, a perfect winless season in 2023. Why hire a defensive co-ordinator that runs a 3-3-5 in a predominately run-heavy conference? Why give freshman starting roles and playing time over upperclassmen when they quit halfway through the season? Why not give the football team proper equipment like a sled when 1/4 of the school are football players? Things I'll never know.
I just looked over Bethany's happenings and became fascinated by that story. How do you give up 60 points in three straight weeks this season? Also, Shane Douglas graduated from Bethany? My mind is blown.
@@thetouchback I couldn’t tell you anything about this season, I graduated in May. The defensive coordinator they hired this year came from Ana Maria college, and gave up 93 points in a game in 2023 vs Coast Guard. From what I hear, a bunch of players are transferring out this offseason as well. Also, current New York Yankees radio play-by-play announcer Dave Simms graduated from Bethany as well. Shout out Shane Douglas, former WWE Intercontinental Champion (among other things)!

Where would the completely defeated 2024 Kent State team appear in this, if at all?

That 2021 UConn team also got blasted 49-0 at home to Purdue who pulled a lot of starters in the second half.
