Congrats man! That means you could very likely have royal blood. Over the past couple thousand years it was tradition for the Armenians of nobility to marry into the Persian royal family / take royal Persian brides. It helped gain them political access and clout during the times of the Armenian Satrapies / Persian Armenia. This resulted in an actual measurable amount of admixture. As an Iranian, I have many fully armenian cousins on 23andMe who reside in Armenia, but as far as we know we’re fully Iranian.

The two cultures have a lot of similarities and even look similar, but ultimately Armenians are not likely at all to support such an initiative and value their independence. They are a Christian people, with their own story. Iran respects and supports their independence, and everyone is proud of the relationship.

In ancient times Iran was called Persia. And before Persia became an empire it was just a region of the great Media country. Persians were one people with Medians because they were from one father. One definite man who's name was Madai. Media comes from Madai. I guess it's very clear. First Media then Persia, and then Iran. It's simply. I think there is no need to explain that Madai was the grandson of the famous Noah from the ark.

Forming, but not accurate!Scythians (horse bowman) created all the empires. Media, Parthians, Sakas, Huns, Hittites, Urartu, Bactria, etc. Their prehistory begins with Nimrod (grandson of Noah, the first king of the earth after the flood, who builds the Tower of Babel), whose they have twin sons, Hunor and Magor. I understand the names of all the cities of Mesopotamia in my language. In today's world, reality is directly forgotten. China is so strong that it dares to face reality, so it built a museum in honor of the Hungarians (Huns). it is a family name with us, e.g. Balog-istán.

Interesting nevertheless , Iranian population as regards their phenotypes seem very much diverse , I remember during Reza Shah era ( about 100 years ago ) , a British Anthropologist had researched Iranians physical features (aka phenotypes ) mainly in Fars province, noticed that one may find all categories of Caucasoid race i.e. Nordic, Mediterranean, Alpic , Dinaric , ..in that region , of course in the south of Iran there is an Afro-Iranian community whom might have been brought in by the Portuguese , and Arab speaking community in the south and south western Iran, also in the South East of Iran live " Brahui " people who are more linked to Dravidians and speak a Dravidian language. Mahmud of Ghazni, محمود غزنوی, Maḥmūd-e Ghaznawī; (2 November 971 - 30 April 1030) commonly known as Mahmud Ghaznavi, was the ruler of the Ghaznavid Empire from 997 until his death. He turned the former provincial city of Ghazni into the rich capital of an extensive empire which included modern-day Afghanistan, most of Iran, and parts of north-west India including modern-day Pakistan. He was also the first ruler to carry the title Sultan, signifying his break from the power of the Islamic Caliph.
Mahmud of Ghazni was known as Yāmīn al-Dawlah Maḥmūd (in full: Yāmīn al-Dawlah Abd al-Qāṣim Maḥmūd ibn Sebük Tegīn). He was the eldest son of Emir Sebüktegin. When he was young, Mahmud helped his father gain land through military campaigns against Turk nobles. In 997, he overthrew his younger brother, Ismail, who had been nominated for the throne after his father’s death. As soon as he had the throne, he went out to conquer territory.
Between 1000 and 1026, he invaded India at least 17 times. He led the first major Muslim army to invade India. His conquest of the entire Punjab including Haryana all the way up to Agra was the last invasion where he increased his territory in India. From then on, most of Mahmud’s raids were to gain wealth. Mahmud's last and most famous raid was on Somnath. This is a temple city on the Gujarati coast that was also a pilgrimage site. The temple had many riches: heavy golden chains and thousands of jewels. The battle was violent, and more than 50,000 people died. Mahmud's army won and plundered the temple of its riches and wealth.
With all his riches, Mahmud founded a university, a library, and a museum, a grand mosque and richened his capital. When Mahmud was about to die, he ordered all of his riches to be placed before him. Mahmud died on 30 April 1030.

I am a strategic forecaster and have equivalent education of 3 PhDs , I speak 4 languages and my area of specialty is Middle East and I am a ghashghaee Turk myself .
The reason that I got into being a strategic forecaster is because I love Iran with all of my heart and I always wondered what and who a ghashghaee Turk is .am I an Iranian or not?
In order for you to understand who the ghashghaees are you have to know who and what a Turk is .
99.5% of Turks know what a Turk is .
Turk is not a race , it is a title , there is no such a thing as Turk DNA.
So how did we get this title ?
The first time the name Turk was mentioned in the history of man was 8th century .
So where did the Turks came from ?
The name Turk was created by the mongols as an insult , why?
Because they were very racist and didn’t want their people to mix with anyone else .
When some mongol mixed with someone else they called their kids “Toki” which was an Asian bird . ( long story for a difference time.)
The name Toki in time became torki and Tork/ turk the way the name negro which is Spanish for black changed became of the slaves and now it is Neguz.
Look at the Turkic nations , it started with Mongolia and followed the path the mongols took to get to Persia ( Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.)
So turk means mongol + another race , any race .
There are two different kind of Turks , the mongol Turks who are the direct mixture of mongol with another race , these people look mongol like Turkmen, kyrgies and etc .
The second group of Turks are mixture of central Asian blood plus another race .
Central Asian blood means very watered down blood and that is why they don’t look like the mongols .
That is us ( the Farsi Turks ).
In Iran we don’t have a single foreign tribe , everyone of us have Persian roots .
In the last 6000 years Persia has been involved in 1000s of wars and we have won just about all of them but it is natural to lose a few .
When we lost dome wars the nation was occupied and during that occupation some of our people mixed with them and they left a trace . Look at the people in the south .
When Arabs took over since the south had all of the harbors then the Arabs population concentrated there and today we have Iranian Arabs in Iran and these people are our people.
When the mongols took over Iran they concentrated in Azerbaijan and the fars state and they controlled Iran through these two points . , that is why we have the Azeri and ghashghaee Turks .
The funny thing is that people of turkey are not even Turks , England gave them the title of Turk when ottoman was destroyed and now they claim to be the king of Turks .
Ottomans were not Turks . I have documents for all of this .
      I hope this helps .

I see Indians and Turks try to say Iranians are Indian/Turk. Not only here, but all the videos about Iran. Yeah, there are Azeris in Iran that can speak in both Persian and Azeri. But their DNA have been always Iranian. And most of Persian great poets were Azeris who loved Iran and composed too many Persian poems in praise of Iran. We can easily read the books from thousands of years ago written by our ancestors and you really think with these lies you spread; you can make an identity for yourself???
Indian's claims are even more non-sense. Maybe because at some period the language of their kings was Persian. But dudes, we didn't force your kings to use Persian. For a short time in Iran's history, the country was ruled by the Mongols. So just like other invaders to Iran, between all the regions ruled by Mongols (maybe more than 50% of the world) they liked our culture and our language and exported it to other places, included India. So, Mongols forced your kings to use it and because of that you think that Iranians are Indian? Persian is the language our ancestors composed their poems with, and we'll save it for our descendants. Iran have been always here and will be always here, while our rulers and neighbors change frequently. We're at the moment ruled by Islamic Republic, while the people neither know themselves Muslim, nor republican, but Iranian.
