  • Does the display of your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) not work anymore, but do the capacitive menu and back keys still light up? Then this might be an easy fix. Get the back cover off your Note 10.1, detach the connection cable, retach and you're good to go!
In this video i'll show you how to do this.

A year and a half later your video is still a lifesaver. It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish. I'm glad I had a few old credit cards kicking around cause the first one I tried was too thin and I couldn't get enough leverage. Thanks again. ~ Marc

I cannot thank you enough for this video! Samsung "help center" was completely useless and wanted me to reset the tablet, deleting all my files and my kids' pictures! and I kept saying "the screen is completely blacked out! i can't see the instructions even if I wanted to reset to its default settings". Then she said my warranty was expired even though the tablet is less than a year old! so again, a million thanks to you sir!

FANTASTIC! THANKS A BILLION FOR THIS. My note 10.1 screen brightness had been problematic since i got it last year. I found this - which gave me the confidence to open it up. I was disappointed to find inside NO LOOSE SCREEN CONNECTOR. But once i closed it the screen began working perfectly for the first time. I still don't know what the problem was but such a relief. Thanks again

This fix worked wonderfully for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014). My screen flickered several times before going completely black. The capacitivie menu and back keys lit up occasionally but the screen remained black. It took about 10 min to remove the back and another minute to fix the cable. The video description was correct in all respects. Thank you.

Thank you! After dropping my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 flat on a hard floor, the screen was black. Menu and back buttons were lit, however. Note he tells you to turn the tablet off - but you can't without using the screen! So just let the battery run down (or not). Thanks for encouragement on being patient getting the back off. My display cable didn't feel or look loose but I unplugged and plugged it, attached power cable and VOILA the screen is alive. Thanks again!

Thank you so much, my tablet decided it wants to turn its display's color inverted after owning it for like 4 or 5 years, and I was absolutely clueless on how to fix it until I found this video. So yeah, if your screen decides to invert its colors, it's probably because the cable isn't quite right... Love this tablet so I was afraid I've lost it, lol.

My problem was similar....when I would reboot, the screen came on fine. I only got the dark screen issue once the screen was turned off. When turned off, I could not get it back on with any of the buttons. This happened after a short fall, as others mentioned. I followed your steps and the strip was still firmly against the battery, but the little clip was in the up position. All I had to do was close the clip, which was one of your last steps. Thanks so much for the walk through. I just wanted to comment, not only to show appreciation, but to also let ppl with my particular issue to know that this video will get your device working again.

Hi all. Just have to say that this worked great. I got my gf this tab from America in 2013 and about 8 months ago it had it fall and then screen wouldn't come on unless reset. I took to a Samsung store and they couldn't do anything because it was American. So was told to call a number where they could help. My gf only did this a few weeks ago. She was told to call samsung in America and possible get it sent to the states. So that's the back story. So did a search on UA-cam and found this video and it worked like a sweet charm. Usually I'll do this but my gf was happy but nervous to do it and she's happy with the results. Great. Simple. Easy video 🙌🙌
