Nice video this guy seems legit a fan of Nintendo plus he is honest that he may be selling the graded games. As Dylan notes DUH! Everybody could be selling their graded games even as collectors that is just common sense so again this guy gets my thumbs up! I hope he keeps learning more on the subject and appreciates the fact that along with grading he is protecting the games from future damage. Good stuff!
Ha, pretty much! It's nice seeing other people who collect and are rationale about values and selling. Pretty positive Mr Wright has sold his entire collection a couple of times now when life necessitated it. Always be in control of your hobby and not the other way around!
So this is very important video for me because I'm a hard 3DS collector. That barbie game is going to stop me from a full 3DS North America set. Maybe in my lifetime I'll came around with a copy. Since I'm also playing everything from the 3ds set. From start to finish for every game.
Gotta Love the Game Stop Sealed 'Pre Owned Game" Meanwhile in the New section you can buy a Switch Cart Only. Great Video Greg, Enjoyed seeing Steves Video
Barbie Groom and Glam Pups to the Moon! My local game shop had a CIB copy in December 2021 I bought it for $350. The highest comp at that point was 1600 looks to have doubled since. I am going to hold.
I’m new to graded video games, but your channel is making me very interested as I also collect baseball cards, where grading cards is very common. I was messing around on eBay and managed to win a copy of fifa 18, wata 9.8 a+ for $41, did I overpay, and if so, by how much?
haha buying any game for $40, especially a 9.8 A+, is basically paying the cost of grading and receiving a free game inside! You got a great deal on it! (not implying that it's worth a ton more than you paid, but $41 is just so low haha)
@@GetTheGreg good to hear lol, I’m a big sports guy (not so much soccer, but I’ll gladly watch a game or two). I plan to start collecting sports titles in the future, so I guess this is a good start lol. Thanks for taking your time to respond, happy collecting!
The only two 3ds games I sent to cgc is dragon ball z extreme butoden and dragon ball fusion's which extreme butoden is already graded I just have to wait until it's shipped to see the grade
When pricecharting adds a sold listing from an ebay "best offer" it counts the list price, not what the actual accepted offer was which completely skews actual value and should be something you look into and mention
yeah pricecharting does a lot of weird stuff that collectors need to know about. It is what it is. The real database is eBay whole history which is only available to those who pay for the privilege
My 2 cents. I still don’t see how grading the game, makes it any easier to sell. In a auction setting ok I get it. But in second hand market like eBay, selling apps even conventions etc there are only a hand full of people to drop 5k on a game. Once those people have them, what then? Someone is always going to be left holding the bucket. I’ve seen it happen in the niche market I collect for. 1 or 2 people willing to drop cash. After that, market drops.
@@jasonbrassard5572 this is a civil discussion don’t go crazy on me. Lol Ok so if something doesn’t have Y folds. (Common in what I collect umd movies) the few collectors that collect new umds. Have told me they don’t care because they told me there really isn’t a way to authenticate unless it has a Y fold or it’s something super obvious that shouldn’t be there. But back to selling a graded game. Is selling in a auction the same as selling in the second hand market? If something sells for x amount at a auction, is that the automatic asking price for all other similar items? Or how much value does a grade add? It’s very tricky in my opinion and would just make it more difficult to sell. Especially in the unfortunate event a family member has to sell this stuff. I agree with Mr wright. It’s about getting the most $ out of your item. Or making it as value as possible. And that’s OK. Nothing against it.
I wonder how possible or rather impossible it would be to sell that barbie game 😅 I would absolutely kill for something like that though don't get me wrong. But in my experience niche grails don't really do well sealed. That being the tippy top for 3ds might help though.
@@MrWrightWay I am not criticizing anything. Just wondering how small the market for this must be. It's definitely extremely cool to see though. I wonder how many there even are sealed. With prices like that you'd almost have to wonder if it's in the double digits.
