Yes true, ive been watching vlogs for skincare and make sure to leave some comment on it but she's the only one to send back a reply. That's why i also chose to stick watching to only her videos.
You don’t understand How happy I am that you mentioned to NOT wash the product. I’ve always been confused if I’m supposed to wash or keep the products on my face. Thank-you for being straight forward :))
Thank you for this Information. Currently, my skin routine is -cleanse - Marine Hyaluronics - niacinamide - thick cream of .01% retinol (PM) - SPF I hope this will help me resolve my acne and acne scarring 😊
Your reviews have honestly changed my skin a lot (for the better!) I was seriously close to using a famous hippy castile soap ON MY FACE but was like "I wonder about Vanicream" and found your review on that and here I am a couple months later lol. Hope you get a billion subscribers one day. Danke (:

my routine is • 2 cleansers from cera ve (foaming facial cleanser and SA cleanser) • hyaluronic acid • niacinamide • cerave lotion • comfy water sunblock and i use the ordinary peeling solution once a week since it can be too strong sometimes. and i only use one cleanser for each routine
Your routine looks great! Yes, you can use the peeling solution 1-2 times per week in the evening. PM Routine (1-2 times per week): - Cleanse - Peeling Solution - Hyaluronic Acid - (Optional) Niacinamide - Moisturiser Have a look at those videos: ua-cam.com/video/wSY0pYcy8KY/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/JNl2F18t4MM/v-deo.html Hope this helps😊
I washed my face with a foaming cleanser and an oil cleanser, because I had some sunscreen on. Then I applied niancinamide, let it rest for 2 minutes, then hyaluronic acid, then a Q10 serum and cerave. My skin is glowing and it feels so bouncy. After everything is absorbed, I go in, before bed, with Lipikar Ap+M from Vichy, which is very thick and incredibly hydrating. My skin looks almost poreless.
You get to the point! My first time using HA I used like 5 drops rubbing all over my face. I then immediately applied moisturiser. It just felt so sticky so thanks for clarifying that!
Did not skip any ads because I'm reading the comments and I am already impressed with his video and it hasn't even started 😊 because I've been wanting to know if I can mix the two together and ig you can 🙌🏾 thank you!
Hey thank you very much ❤️ Yes, you can apply it after a toner. Also you have to water based serums. Hyaluronic Acid = Water-Based Serum Niacinamide = Water- Based Serum Your routine would look like this: AM 1.Clean your face with your favourite cleanser 2. Hyaluronic Acid 3. Niacinamide 4. SPF PM: 1.Clean your face with your favourite cleanser 2. Toner 3. Hyaluronic Acid 4. Niacinamide Here is some additional information: The general rule of thumb for order of application is: 1. Water-based serums 2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations 3. Creams & suspensions Important: If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). And it’s recommended applying eye-serums (such as Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG) first after cleansing. And a maximum of three serum formulations in a single regimen. Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!! Thank you so much Melissa, it was so confusing for me to figure out how to use these products, you have been the only person that has helped me with skin care and you always break it down on how to use it and what else can be layered on it thank you much love :)
because of you, i had started TO Hyaluronic Asic, Niacinamide, Buffet, Vit C 30%. and just ordered Corsx BHA toner... so far, love the effects of all the TO products you recommend. i might explore more on the type of Vit C serum that suitable for my oil/combunation skin. Thanks Melissa
@@sashavsbellalv590 Yeah, this is because it includes a high % of Vitamin C. When using TO Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin, stop using the Vitamin C Suspension.
I was experiencing flaking and after this video I realized i was using too much of the product. I used it in gel form so i was a little confused about the quantity but now its clear!
Hello Melissa!! Your video was very helpful to me! I used these two products and my skin is clearing up within the two weeks of using it! My mom just picked it up The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA and the ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution! She also uses the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide and we like to know which order to use them! Thank you so much, sending love!!!💕💕💕
Hey😊 Thank you - I'm happy that you can see already great improvements! 🥰 Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin are all three water-based serums which means that you can apply them as you like, there is no right and wrong to which one comes first. However, I do recommend starting with Hyaluronic Acid as it can help other products to penetrate better into the skin😊 Also, when using Glycolic Acid as it can be quite strong for some people (including me haha😂) use it every other day before using it more often so that you can see how your skin will responds to it. The general rule of thumb for order of application is: 1. Water-based serums 2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations 3. Lotions & Creams & suspensions Important: It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration. About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck. Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing." Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!! Hope, this helps!🥰
thank you so much for this video! also while scrolling i noticed you interact with a lot of comments and you're super helpful with questions! i don't have any questions but just would like to thank you for being so nice and helpful to everyone :-)
Actually, if you use it on dump skin it boost the affectiveness of the product especially the hyaluronic acid as the hyaluronic acid draws hydration from the environment, your skin, and water so there’s that boost of hydration. And also applying your products on dump skin can make them absorb better !
Hello 😀 Please watch this video, and have a look at the description box. 😀 Do I Need to Apply The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 on Wet/Damp Skin? ua-cam.com/video/quG5_8cd-uA/v-deo.html
My routine: Oil-based cleanser Hyaluronic acid Niacinamide Cerave moisturizer and now I bought Glycolic Acid 7% toning solution so if I put that on at night after will that be fine or too much for my skin?
Is this your AM and PM routine? - Cleanse - Glycolic Acid (in your PM routine) - Hyaluronic Acid - Niacinamide - Moisturiser - SPF (AM) If you've never used Acids like this before, I recommend using it 2-3 times per day for a week or so and then try it more often during the week until your skin has developed the skin tolerance to use it daily😊
My first recommendation from your channel as a subscriber! Your Niacinamide and The Ordinary vs Sukin videos brought me here (I'm Australian and used Sukin in the past), I absolutely love your stuff it's so helpful 😍
Welcome. 🙂 Have you tried the ordinary? And what was your experience with the sukin products, and which one did you use? I hope that I can come back to Australia soon. 😀
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet sukin was pleasant and didn't harm my skin when I used it as a teenager but I knew there were better brands for the same price. I mostly used their positively reviewed products from the sensitive/normal/green ranges like the hydrating mist toner, sensitive night cream and greens clay mask. Then I decided to try out other skincare like the ordinary but I had no clue about picking the right things back then so buffet, caffeine etc. didn't do much for me of course 😂 I recently purchased the niacinamide plus marine hyaluronics and in the process of waiting for my delivery, was lucky enough to stumble upon your instructional videos 😊 so far so good!
Okay, yes, some of their products are great. I also loved the night cream a lot. I haven’t tried the mist and clay mask! The Buffet serum didn’t work for me; it made me breakout horrible. But maybe I am too young! Because for my husband it works fine! I think it’s best to use a regimen! I never really tried the products on their own! I am pretty sure that they will work for you as well. You just have to be consistent. Of course, every skin is different. But for my husband and me, they work. I have T-zone combination skin, and he has oily skin. He uses the Hyaluronic Acid and the Niacinamide and sometimes the Marine Hyaluronics, and that’s it. His oily skin has improved so much! I am testing lots of products, so my skin looks different all the time. But I want to do videos about it and figure out what’s working and what isn’t. 😀 What skin type do you have?
@Melissa Van Dijk Yes! I have a regimen going with a mix of the Ordinary and Korean/Japanese skincare which is working well for me. I've always cleansed, toned and moisturised but the regimen has improved a lot over the years. I am actually not 100% sure what my skin type is though I'm guessing it is combination? It starts out dry and ends up oily (the rest of my body is on the dry and itchy side). Your husband is so lucky to only need that much product! Funnily enough, Buffet also made my sister and I breakout so perhaps it really isn't suited to young skin, oops
It's good to have a stable skincare routine that works specifically for you and your skin concerns. I believe that ones you find the right products it can help to improve your skin so much and give you amazing results! I'm glad that you found the products that work for you😊 The best way to find out about your skin type is by not applying any skincare or makeup products for an entire day and only wash your face with water AM & Pm. During the day you can analyse your skin and see how it's performing over the day. Also, have a closer look at your pores, do you have small or large pores on certain areas?😊
Hey!! Is it ok to put the Glycolic acid 7% toner before i use the Hyaluronic + Nicacinamide? And if so do i need to wash my face after the toner or can i apply on it? I want to do this combination in the night and in the morning only use the toner Is it okay or too much? BTW i LOVE your videos!!!! Your voice is so calm and you are so helpful!!
Yes, you can use Glycolic Acid before applying Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide. However, if you are new to Glycolic Acid. I recommend using it 1-3 times per week in the evening and see how your skin will respond before using it more often.
Thank you😊 Well, Niacinamide and the Amino Acid serum from the Ordinary are both water-based serums. If you have more than one water-based serum (Niacinamide and the Amino Acid ), you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). Hope this helps😊
My Hylaronic Acid just spils / runs out of the Dropper. It wont stay inside of the dropper, i do not apply any force. It is also building some strings with the bottle. The product is kind of „strechy“. Is that normal? My Niacinamide is completly fine. Both are original Products, i purchased them directly from the Ordinary. Would be kind of you could answer my questions.
Hello, yes this can happen :) That's the texture of the product. It may vary a little from batch to batch :) Since they are updating the formulations very often.
hi, I want to start a new skincare routine and I really need your help in the products I should be using and the steps I should take. so far I have bought the cerave foaming facial cleanser, the ordinary hyaluronic acid, the niacinamide 10%, and the aha 30% peeling solution. what products should I buy and what are the steps I should use them in. It would be greatly appreciated if you could respond with what products I should use to start my new skincare. thank you for your time and I hope you have an fantastic day ♥️
Hey😊 welcome to the skincare world haha, we all have so much more to learn!🥰 Well, I would need to know your skin concerns before I can suggest you any products😅 Have you already been using the products that you've mentioned above? For you too!
Well, it’s not so much about the skin type. As long as you do not have very sensitive skin, most products will work! A regimen could look something like this: AM1: Cleanser Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (optional 100% Plant-Derived Squalane) SPF PM1(rest of the week): Cleanser Salicylic Acid 2% Solution (if not available lactic acid 5%, but as soon as possible, move back to the salicylic acid solution!) Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (optional 100% Plant-Derived Squalane) PM2: (3 times a week): Cleanser Glycolic Acid 7% Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2% (optional) Borage Seed Oil Pm 3: (once a week) Cleanser Dry skin! AHA + BHA (rinse off after 10minutes!) Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2% (optional) Borage Seed Oil About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck. It's recommended avoiding unprotected solar exposure. Gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. If you have bad acne I would recommend getting some acne medication(Benzoyl Peroxide) at first and ask a dermatologist on how you can proceed. If you have light to moderate acne the regimen above can help you. I hope this helps.
thank you so much i needed this since i just bought HA and niacinamide and i couldnt find any other video that would inform me if i could mix them, thanks! ♡
Hey I had a question I bought some products from the ordinary and I’m really overwhelmed and I don’t know how to build a routine for them in the morning and in the evening So I bought: - the ordinary squalane cleanser - niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% -hyaluronic Acid 2% b5 - the ordinary moisturizing factors -30% bha 2%Peeling Solution - glycolic acid 7% -caffeine solution 5% - and a face SPF Thank youuuu for your videos they are very helpful
Hey 😀 AM: 1. The ordinary squalane cleanser 2. Caffeine solution 5% 3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% b5 4. Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% 5. SPF PM: 1. The ordinary squalane cleanser 2. Glycolic acid 7% 3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% b5 4. Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% PM2: (once a week) 1. AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 3. Niacinamide ( But based on my experience I would recommend applying the Natural moisturizing factors) Also, I wouldn’t use the toner daily that’s pretty strong. Maybe your skin can tolerate it but I had serious issues using it daily. I would apply it once or twice a week.
The Lactic Acid should be applied in you PM routine but you can't use it with other strong acids, so you can only use this one when you're not using the Glycolic toner or AHA + BHA peeling solution 😊 The Lactic Acid is a water-based serum which can be diluted with other treatments (for example hyaluronic acid) to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Your PM Routine could look like this: 1. The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser 2. Lactic Acid 3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% b5 4. Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% Hope this helps🥰
Hi! : ) So I recently purchased some new products from The Ordinary and Cerave. I watched so many of your videos but want to check and see if I am taking the right steps. My AM & PM routines are almost identical -- is that okay? Also, should I consider just using a SPF moisturizer instead of a moisturizer and sunscreen? AM 1. Cleanser 2. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 3. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA 5. SPF PM 1. Cleanser 2. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 3. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA PM2 (2-3 Days per week) 1. Cleanser 2. Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 4. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 5. Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Thanks! I love your videos and have learned SO much from you :)
Hello 😀 Well, this is perfect. If you have oily skin, you may not need the moisturizer. See what works best for you. On my skin, a moisturizer + SPF works better than a moisturizer with SPF. But again, you have to see what works best for your skin. The order is correct, and there is no right and wrong. You have to experiment and see how it goes. 😀
Hey Melissa! I have used the ordinary niacinamide before, without any big problems. It didn't reduce oil production though. I'm currently using epiduo, and I struggle with tolerating it every day. I get very irritated and red to the point that my moisturizer (CeraVe) burns. I have oily, acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation. Which serum should I use to tolerate the epiduo? Is niacinamide good for irritated skin?
Hey again! :) Are you currently just using your Epiduo? - It contains Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide, right? What else do you currently use? Because a few months ago, you were talking about a Salicylic Acid Cleanser and Azelaic Acid, do you still use such products? If you can not tolerate it daily, that's fine. Reduce the frequency, or you may want to leave it on the skin for one hour (or so) and then wash it off.
hi i got some products and I don't know how to put it into a routine. I got the Glycolic acid toner, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. My regular cleanser is the Cetaphil cleanser. Thanks for the informative videos, much love!
Hello 😀 Can you have a look at this video first 🤔 How to Create a Skincare Routine With The Ordinary Products - A Beginners Guide: ua-cam.com/video/png_aAg5B0A/v-deo.html If you still have any questions left I am happy to help 😀
Hey can I use Cerave foaming cleanser then niacinamide then hyaluronic acid then the natural moisturizing factors. This is for am btw and then for the pm can i use the same steps except for the last step i use the 100% plant derived squalene
Hello Melissa, Just want to say thank u so much for all your guidance. I am learning skincare from your videos and it's really helping me.currently my skincare routine is : Am Benzol peroxide wash Hylronic acid Nicenamide 10% Cetaphil moisturizer La Roche sunscreen Pm - Cerave facial cleanser Paula's choice / Cerave resurfacing retinol serum ( alternate) Hylronic acid My skin is combination type but mostly it's dry now because of winter as I am residing in Germany. I have some acne and acne marks (only on chin and upper lip Area) not all over. Also having open pores. Please suggest on above skincare routine. Also can u suggest anything is needed for acne marks. It would be really helpful ☺️ Thank u
Hello Swati, It seems like you are already using products that should help you. However, there are some adjustments you can make to the order of application to maximize their effectiveness: AM Routine: Benzoyl peroxide wash Hyaluronic acid Niacinamide 10% Cetaphil moisturizer (you may consider changing it to a light gel or skipping it altogether, as it may be too rich for your concerns) La Roche sunscreen PM Routine: CeraVe facial cleanser Hyaluronic acid (this should come first as it is water-based) Wait 1-2 minutes before applying Paula's Choice or CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum (alternate between the two). I hope these suggestions help.
You're amazing tysm dear you saved my night hahaha I'm gonna start using their products today! since I just got them lol I have Sensitive-Dry to very dry skin ( I got Niacinamide + Zinc , Hyaluronic Acid + B5 , Amino acids + B5 and rosehip seed oil Do you have any advice to me regarding using these on daily basis? I decided to use Hyaluronic Acid + b5 and Niacinamide today as a first-timer hopefully I made the right call hehe
Hey, well, you got great products. However, it may be a bit heavy when using the rosehip seed oil in the morning. And since you have dry skin, it may be best to ass a moisturizer in the morning as the last step. AM: Cleanser Hyaluronic Acid Amino Acids + B5 Niacinamide Moisturizer (Maybe The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors) SPF PM: Cleanser Hyaluronic Acid Niacinamide Rosehip Seed Oil It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration. About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck. Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing." Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet omg.. idk how to thank u really! I'm gonna follow these steps then! tysm you saved my skin. I wish u all the best N.B: I'm gonna watch all Ads while watching your vids I guess that's the only way I can support you with
@@Khalid_Alharthi39 One more thing that I would like to add is that some people struggle with Niacinamide's application. It may be too much when using it in the morning and evening. So it may be best to start using it once a day, and if no irritation or dryness occurs, increase the frequency. Personally, I haven't had any issues, but based on my comments, a lot of people seem to have. Yes, I only have ads before and after my videos; I do not do any affiliate links since I want to stay independent. The most helpful is sharing my videos so that more people will see it 😀 Thank you.
Hey😊 AM Routine: - Cleanse - Hyaluronic Acid - Niacinamide - NMF - SPF PM Routine: - Cleanse - Lactic Acid (1-3 times per week in the beginning) - Hyaluronic Acid - NMF The general rule of thumb for order of application is: 1. Water-based serums 2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations 3. Lotions & Creams & suspensions Important: If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration. About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck. Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing." Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!! With any new formulation, some sensitivity or initial redness can be normal. Initial redness upon application is not a cause for concern if it goes away after a few moments. ❤ Niacinamide can be used in conjunction with retinoids sunscreens, hydroxy acids, and other ingredients without concern for cross-reactivity. Please note that with any active ingredient that affects skin behaviour, there can be an initial purging period during which breakouts are normal. Gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. How often you should exfoliate depends on your skin type and skin concerns. Some people do well exfoliating with AHA or BHA twice a day, whereas others find that once a day or every other day is a perfect balance. Test to see what works best for your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells. Hope this helps😊
Your routine(s) look great!🥰 Have you already use the products like this, or have you just ordered them, and that's the routine?😊 Also, if you have oily skin, it is not necessary to use a moisturizer (you may just want to use one if you experience some dryness) otherwise, you can skip it! Also, depending on for how long you have been using this routine and the retinoid, you could also use the retinoid after the peeling solution! If you like Cetaphil, I recommend getting the Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing bar! - I love that one a lot! - which btw, foams too!
Melissa Van Dijk Omg thank you so much! this is the first routine ive ever created!! ive been using it for 3 weeks so far and im just seeing if i should change or tweak anything
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you! Also, can I apply hyaluronic acid under the eyes? Or what eye cream would you recommend for sensitive skin and someone turning 30? And should I apply it after serums? Thank you 🙏
Yes, you can apply Hyaluronic Acid under the eyes. However, it may be beneficial to use a retinol eye cream to apply 2-3 times a week. Or generally speaking, retinol would be the best option. For example, Paula's Choice Clinical 0.3% Retinol + 2% Bakuchiol Treatment or La Roche Posay Redermic Retinol Cream.
Yes. Well, after cleansing you are applying your Sulfur Cream and leave it on the skin for 10min and then rinse it off and after that you can continue with the rest of your routine...serum and moisturiser (if needed).
Hi Melissa, just landed on your video few hrs ago. And I just got my Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser Ordinary Niacinamide Hyaluronic and Alpha Arbutin I really don't know how to use it. Please how can I use them Which and which should I use first and at what time Morning and late night
Hey! :) See here: How to use the NEW Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser: ua-cam.com/video/p-eB1T3WISk/v-deo.html How To Use The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid | In-Depth Demonstration: ua-cam.com/video/RVSZ5GlCiIM/v-deo.html
You can do, but it's recommended to layer them. This means that you should apply them one after another so that the skin has time to absorb it. I am not sure if it will make a difference in the long run. 🤷🏼♀️
Melissa, when using Hyaluronic Acid, you MUST ALWAYS use a cream after (day or night) to seal moisture in, otherwise it can make your skin DRYER (ok, maybe in way moister climates won´t be too much, but heating in houses and offices DRY the soul out your skin!), better safe than sorry, GO with something, even if it´s as light like as the Benton deep green tea Lotion. Greettings!
Yes you are right about that however it's a derivative that is used in this serum. "Sodium hyaluronate is a particularly effective humectant because it is effective in both high and low humidity conditions. When sodium hyaluronate is protonated, or made acidic, it is called hyaluronic acid. But sodium hyaluronate has greater chemical stability than hyaluronic acid and does not pull moisture out of the deeper layers of your skin under particularly dry conditions."
What is the point of applying 2-3drops to you hands and then just pat , i feel like all the product is wasted in between you hands .just apply one drop directly on your face and then press it gently
Someone tell me if this is too much CeraVe cleanser (occasionally) Glycolic acid toner Hyaluronic acid Niacinamide Caffeine serum for under eyes Is that a good skincare routine and if so is that the best order they should be used in?
Hi Melissa your video was very helpful for me im using this products first time..can i use hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in am routine and hyaluronic acid in pm.
You're wrong about the dry or damp thing. Hyaluronic acid should ONLY be applied to damp skin or at the very least with a moisturizer immediately after. It's a humectant and so will draw out moisture from whatever is nearest, which if the surface of your skin is dry, means the moisture has to come from your skin cells. It is always recommended to apply to damp skin. If you don't apply a humectant with moisture it's going to dry out your skin. And its essential that you put an occlusive over (any moisturizing creme will have this, both other humectants and occlusives) so the moisture does not escape and you end up with the very same issue, as water will simply evaporate off your skin and the potent hyaluronic acid will continue to dry out your skin instead of helping.
No, that is misinformation. Applying hyaluronic acid serum to damp skin is not necessary, as the hyaluronic acid has already bound to the water molecules in the serum formulation. As a result, it makes no difference in terms of hydration. However, it is generally recommended to apply skincare products right after washing the face, as this helps with absorption. It's important to note that damp skin refers to a state where the skin has absorbed some water but has been patted dry on the surface, whereas what many people demonstrate online is actually wet skin. Having water droplets on the skin surface, to which hyaluronic acid cannot bind, may lead to layering issues, especially when applying multiple water-based formulations consecutively. Additionally, applying a fatty cream on top of hyaluronic acid may reduce its efficacy and mix with it, causing potential problems. Consequently, it's essential to be mindful of these potential negative aspects.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet It's not misinformation, it's what several actual dermatologists recommend if you simply look here on youtube. For example: ua-cam.com/video/Tfi9IWjzA-8/v-deo.html You really can't count on a serum to have enough moisture in it for HA, as opposed to a moisturizer with the ingredient. You run the risk of drying out your skin. There is no reason not to damp your skin (for the record, not once did i say wet skin), especially in more arid climates - where in more humid climates you might be able to get away with it, but unless you're a walking hygrometer and know exactly how much humidity is enough i really wouldn't recommend it :) And you really do need an occlusive. HA is only a humectant. There is a good reason all moisturizers have both humectants and occlusives in them.
Hyaluronic acid can become saturated with water in serum formulations, meaning it cannot absorb any more water molecules. Depending on the formulation, it may bind to additional water molecules, but it will not absorb more water into the skin or pull it out of the skin. Dampening the skin helps lock in moisture that the skin has already absorbed, rather than adding more moisture to the skin (for example, by using a mist; however, you need to give the mist time to absorb into the skin and tap off the excess before using your humectants that only sit on the skin's outer layers). However, applying a moisturizer or hyaluronic acid to damp skin can help seal in the moisture and prevent it from evaporating. An occlusive agent is not needed if the skin can retain moisture on its own. Furthermore, hyaluronic acid may provide these moisture-retention properties even when it is fully saturated and has already absorbed all the water it can. Additionally, if a dermatologist or even 100 dermatologists repeat the same information and explain it in an incorrect manner or share things that are not true, repeating it over and over does not make it more accurate.
Hi, I really love your videos. I’ve been using both HA then niacinamide as my night serums for the last 2 weeks but with each I get this tingling/burning sensation on my face for the first minute or 2. Does this mean I should stop using it? This doesn’t happen when I use my niacinamide in the morning with Vit C
Hi Melissa. Thanks a lot for your video. Really helpful. I’ve been trying the ordinary products and bought the following without even having any idea which ones can go together and which should be applied first. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Vitamin C suspension + HA spheres L-ascorbic acid powder Caffeine solution 5% + EGCG Lactic acid 10% Caffeine solution 5% Matrixyl 10% + HA My main concern are the fine lines on my face and light pigmentations from previous acne. I also have some dark under eyes. It’s all too science for me and really don’t have much clue. Hope you can help. Thanks a lot!
It is not that difficult, and The Ordinary has all the information you need on their website. I have a video which is guiding you through the process, which you can find right here: The Ordinary For Beginners: ua-cam.com/video/diaLVk_EsI4/v-deo.html If you need more help, please let me know.
@Sad Lonley Potato '.* Thanks for your comment. Do you want to know if the routine is good? If so, I need to know your skin concerns. Otherwise, I won't be able to tell you ;)
Since when are you using this routine? Have you seen any changes/improvements? Also, does your skin like the Cerave products? For hyper-pigmentation, I also recommend having a look at the Ordinary Alpha Arbutin. Also, do you only have acne like active acne or do you have acne marks and/or scars as well?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Im checking in to see if my routine is good for my skin concerns before I take action ^-^ So for now it is yet to be determined if this will help with my skin. My acne has faded a lot because of daily washing and overal taking basic care of my skin, only a little remain. But, due to my harsh face treatment in the past I have hyperpigmentation and a little scars. ^-^ Thank you~♡
@@sadlonleypotato.4877 Well, maybe Cerave will work for you! I haven't had much luck since my skin reacted to most of the Cerave products. Still, it may work for you as you have different skin concerns as I have. I recommend getting Alpha Arbutin for hyper-pigmentation. And for your acne marks and scars, have a look at this video: ua-cam.com/video/geF4SbZYuCw/v-deo.html
Hii! Thank you for this video! I've decided to incorporate the Hyaluronic Acid one into my skin care routine. I don't use many products but: - Cerave SA cleanser - Cerave SA moisturizer - The Ordinary Niacinamide (the one in the video) - The Ordinary Peeling Solution AHA 30% + BHA 2% (once a week) And I've just bought the Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary. I've been using these products for months and I don't get as much acne anymore, it's pretty rare. But when I do, sometimes it leaves red scars behind (even without picking at it). I've had some acne scars for months and they've gotten a bit lighter but it's a very very veeery slow process and I wish they'd just go away. Should I wait to see if it gets better with the new product? Or do you have any better product suggestions? Thank you in advance!
I have the same issues, and what helps me the most is Vitamin C and/or Retinol. So my advice would be to use Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% or retinol (for example, Paula's Choice 0,3% and 2% Bakuchiol). Or just wait a bit longer until they are gone ;) So that you do not need to buy additional products, because they will fade on their own, it just takes a bit longer.
And could you reply for one more question? Can I apply my sunscreen and foundation after toner- hyaluronic acid- niacinamide?Or after niacinamide I should apply moisturise cream?
Hey! My skin is usually dry but at times it can also get a bit oily, specially on the t-zone, which causes a few pimples around that area. I'm thinking about buying a few products from the ordinary to use them like this: AM - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, 100% Plant-Derived Squalane and Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA; PM - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, 100% Plant-Derived Squalane and Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. Do you think this is a good routine?
Yeah, that sounds like a great routine! However, I do recommend not using the oil + moisturiser (maybe only one of them or none) in your t-zone since it is already a bit oilier. So, you can use the oil+moisturiser on the areas you're dry😊
Thank you so much for replying@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet. I still have a question though. I just started using The Ordinary Daily Set for more than a month now and the result is not okay. I have pimples all over my face now :(. Worst than before. I don't know what to do anymore. It's devastating. I also have a lot of acne and active pimples but I still want to give it a try. Right now, I'm using The Ordinary cleanser, hyaluronic, niacinamide, and moisturizer. I just started using the Retinol and niacinamide last night. I also ordered the peeling solution to try. Are these products okay for my face? Can I also use the peeling solution even if I have a lot of active pimple. Hoping for your reply! Thank you! :) P.S I'm from the Philippines and I really love watching your videos.
@@cherryga-ano237 Hey! What's your skin type? And have you had acne before using the Ordinary products? Please, keep in mind that those are not acne treatments so if you have had acne before, this won't really solve the problem. Have you ever tried an acne treatment? Please note that with any active ingredient that affects skin behaviour, there can be an initial purging period during which breakouts are normal. Gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin.
Hi @@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet 😊. Yeah, i had acne before but not as much as I have right now. What product can I use to cure my acne and pimples? Please help me. 🙏🙏I've been so depressed because of my pimples. I tried sending an email (with attached photos of my face) to DCIEM however I haven't received any reply yet due to a high volume of requests on their end.
Hello :) No, moisturizer is only needed for dry skin. Or, in case you meant Hyaluronic Acid, this one includes Sodium Hyaluronate (it's kind of a derivative), which has a low molecular weight and does not suck out moisture from the skin! ;) SO, therefore, you do not need a moisturizer. Almost all Hyaluronic Acid serums nowadays have this, so, therefore, it's not needed.
Niacinamide was one of the most effective investment that I have done for my skin and I'm really excited to try HA but I do have some concerns. As you might know that some people say HA works only if you live in a humid climate so I'm living in Germany and the weather is mostly dry. Do you have any ideas about this? 😅
Hallo Asena, yes, I do have. This is true to some extend. However, the Ordinary(and most other companies nowadays) use an ingredient called Sodium Hyaluronate, a derivative of Hyaluronic Acid. I am not a chemist or a doctor, but I have read many articles about this, and I think it isn't obvious. I have a little video about this which you can find right here: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid on Damp Skin and Dry Climate | What You Need to know! (Update): ua-cam.com/video/8cnHmj-9pl8/v-deo.html
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet You're such a sweetheart. Thank you for your respond. I was trying to communicate with my dermatologist but due to current situation they're accepting only patience with emergency so I couldn't get an appointment. I'm heading to watch the video that you mentioned in your comment. Thanks again! ❤️
Step- 1st purito cleanser 2nd - ordinary caffeine eye serum 3rd -Ordinary lactic serum/ wishtrend mandelic acid toner (1 or 2 times a week) 4th - Niacinamide serum (the ordinary) (2 times a week) 5th- Squalane oil (good molecule) OR The ordinary hyaluronic +B5 serum 6th- Benton aloe propolis gel moisturiser Is this the correct order? XOXO Love from INDIA🇮🇳❤
Hello! Thanks for the informative video; I enjoyed it! I had a question about the two serums though. I use them both in my routine, and if I apply them separately, the products dry up too quickly on my hands to feel like I covered my face properly. I'm now considering putting both serums on my hand at once and then applying them to my face. Would this compromise the effects of the serums? Thanks again.
With these serums, that shouldn't be an issue. But the problem may be that your hands are dry. So you can just use more product to have enough to blend it evenly all over, or just apply it directly to your face :) Or yes, mix it.
Wow!!! I had a doubt in this routine... Searched and found this... Absolutely wonderfully said 🤌... Had a doubt though.... Heard that hyaluronic acid shd be applied on damp skin to get more benifits... So I apply Niacinamide on dry skin, wait for few min, spritz some water and then hyaluronic acid... Kindly let me know if this is also ok... Love your content 👏❤️
Sadly these are some myths that even some dermatologists tell all the time, but I assume that they are referring to Hyaluronic Acid in its pure form or to older serum/moisturizer formulations that mainly include fatty substances (occlusives) where it becomes important to use it on damp skin. But also primarily if you have dryer skin, it is not referring to Hyaluronic Acid but to the occlusive(fatty substance that builds a protective layer over the skin to protect it from moisture loss) used. Anyway, you do not need to do that, so you can wash your face, pat it dry and immediately after that, use Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide on top.
Hey!! Thank you for guiding me to this video. Can I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid and niacinimide in the morning, and when I do how long do I wait in between before applying the two products. My second question is can I just use mandelic acid at night? So those in the morning and mandelic acid at night. Thank you!!
I have a very oily and a bit dry skin. Also have so many dark spot on my cheeks. After using these products for 2 days I got small pimples and itchy under my chin and upper lip. Is that normal? I use neutrogena ance wash before using these two products. Please give an answer. Thank you so much. Really appreciate for these informations.
Well, your skin always needs time to adjust to a product. Personally, I would give it a bit more time and see how it goes. Or taking a break for a few days and start again. There isn't much else you can do about it.
Yes, I replied to your other comment. Additional information: Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells.

My skin looks almost poreless.
why do u do the niancinamide first? just wondering bc she said it’s better to do thalidomide

Also curious if I can I apply it after using a toner?
Hey thank you very much ❤️ Yes, you can apply it after a toner.
Also you have to water based serums.
Hyaluronic Acid = Water-Based Serum
Niacinamide = Water- Based Serum
Your routine would look like this:
AM
1.Clean your face with your favourite cleanser
2. Hyaluronic Acid
3. Niacinamide
4. SPF
PM:
1.Clean your face with your favourite cleanser
2. Toner
3. Hyaluronic Acid
4. Niacinamide
Here is some additional information:
The general rule of thumb for order of application is:
1. Water-based serums
2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations
3. Creams & suspensions
Important:
If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first). And it’s recommended applying eye-serums (such as Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG) first after cleansing.
And a maximum of three serum formulations in a single regimen.
Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!

Hey😊
Thank you - I'm happy that you can see already great improvements! 🥰
Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin are all three water-based serums which means that you can apply them as you like, there is no right and wrong to which one comes first. However, I do recommend starting with Hyaluronic Acid as it can help other products to penetrate better into the skin😊
Also, when using Glycolic Acid as it can be quite strong for some people (including me haha😂) use it every other day before using it more often so that you can see how your skin will responds to it.
The general rule of thumb for order of application is:
1. Water-based serums
2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations
3. Lotions & Creams & suspensions
Important:
It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration.
About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.
Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing."
Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!
Hope, this helps!🥰

Actually, if you use it on dump skin it boost the affectiveness of the product especially the hyaluronic acid as the hyaluronic acid draws hydration from the environment, your skin, and water so there’s that boost of hydration. And also applying your products on dump skin can make them absorb better !

Is this your AM and PM routine?
- Cleanse
- Glycolic Acid (in your PM routine)
- Hyaluronic Acid

If you've never used Acids like this before, I recommend using it 2-3 times per day for a week or so and then try it more often during the week until your skin has developed the skin tolerance to use it daily😊
Make sure you’re also using a water based cleanser after your oil based cleanser! Or only use a water based one
Tooooo much
My first recommendation from your channel as a subscriber!
What skin type do you have?
I'm glad that you found the products that work for you😊
The best way to find out about your skin type is by not applying any skincare or makeup products for an entire day and only wash your face with water AM & Pm. During the day you can analyse your skin and see how it's performing over the day. Also, have a closer look at your pores, do you have small or large pores on certain areas?😊

And if so do i need to wash my face after the toner or can i apply on it?
I want to do this combination in the night and in the morning only use the toner
Is it okay or too much?
BTW i LOVE your videos!!!!
Your voice is so calm and you are so helpful!!
Yes, you can use Glycolic Acid before applying Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide.
However, if you are new to Glycolic Acid. I recommend using it 1-3 times per week in the evening and see how your skin will respond before using it more often.

Well, I would need to know your skin concerns before I can suggest you any products😅
Have you already been using the products that you've mentioned above?
For you too!
Melissa Van Dijk well i struggle with acne and acne scars and dark spots and i also have combination skin
Well, it’s not so much about the skin type. As long as you do not have very sensitive skin, most products will work!
A regimen could look something like this:
AM1:
Cleanser
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
(optional 100% Plant-Derived Squalane)
SPF
PM1(rest of the week):
Cleanser
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution (if not available lactic acid 5%, but as soon as possible, move back to the salicylic acid solution!)
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
(optional 100% Plant-Derived Squalane)
PM2: (3 times a week):
Cleanser
Glycolic Acid 7%
Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2%
(optional) Borage Seed Oil
Pm 3: (once a week)
Cleanser
Dry skin!
AHA + BHA (rinse off after 10minutes!)
Granactive Retinoid Emulsion 2%
(optional) Borage Seed Oil
About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.

1. The ordinary squalane cleanser
2. Glycolic acid 7%
3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% b5
4. Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1%
PM2: (once a week)
1. AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
2. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
3. Niacinamide ( But based on my experience I would recommend applying the Natural moisturizing factors)
Also, I wouldn’t use the toner daily that’s pretty strong. Maybe your skin can tolerate it but I had serious issues using it daily. I would apply it once or twice a week.
Melissa Van Dijk omg thank you so so so much you’re literally the most helpful person on UA-cam
Glad it was helpful! 😀
Melissa Van Dijk also do you Know when I could use the lactic acid ? I have a lot of blackheads and large pores that’s my main problem
The Lactic Acid should be applied in you PM routine but you can't use it with other strong acids, so you can only use this one when you're not using the Glycolic toner or AHA + BHA peeling solution 😊
The Lactic Acid is a water-based serum which can be diluted with other treatments (for example hyaluronic acid) to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance.
Your PM Routine could look like this:
1. The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser
2. Lactic Acid
3. Hyaluronic Acid 2% b5
4. Niacinamide 10% and zinc 1%
Hope this helps🥰

Hello 😀 Well, this is perfect. If you have oily skin, you may not need the moisturizer. See what works best for you.
On my skin, a moisturizer + SPF works better than a moisturizer with SPF. But again, you have to see what works best for your skin. The order is correct, and there is no right and wrong. You have to experiment and see how it goes. 😀
This is the video i was looking for...thanks a lot!
Welcome 😊
Hey Melissa! I have used the ordinary niacinamide before, without any big problems. It didn't reduce oil production though. I'm currently using epiduo, and I struggle with tolerating it every day. I get very irritated and red to the point that my moisturizer (CeraVe) burns. I have oily, acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation. Which serum should I use to tolerate the epiduo? Is niacinamide good for irritated skin?
Hey again! :)
Are you currently just using your Epiduo? - It contains Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide, right?
What else do you currently use? Because a few months ago, you were talking about a Salicylic Acid Cleanser and Azelaic Acid, do you still use such products?
If you can not tolerate it daily, that's fine. Reduce the frequency, or you may want to leave it on the skin for one hour (or so) and then wash it off.
Im new to this whole skincare routine n thank god i came across your channel!!!
Welcome :)

Hello Melissa,
Just want to say thank u so much for all your guidance. I am learning skincare from your videos and it's really helping me.currently my skincare routine is :
Am
Benzol peroxide wash
Hylronic acid
Nicenamide 10%
Cetaphil moisturizer
La Roche sunscreen

Cerave facial cleanser
Paula's choice / Cerave resurfacing retinol serum ( alternate)
Hylronic acid
My skin is combination type but mostly it's dry now because of winter as I am residing in Germany. I have some acne and acne marks (only on chin and upper lip Area) not all over. Also having open pores. Please suggest on above skincare routine. Also can u suggest anything is needed for acne marks. It would be really helpful ☺️
Thank u
Hello Swati,
It seems like you are already using products that should help you. However, there are some adjustments you can make to the order of application to maximize their effectiveness:
AM Routine:
Benzoyl peroxide wash
Hyaluronic acid
Niacinamide 10%
Cetaphil moisturizer (you may consider changing it to a light gel or skipping it altogether, as it may be too rich for your concerns)
La Roche sunscreen
PM Routine:
CeraVe facial cleanser
Hyaluronic acid (this should come first as it is water-based)
Wait 1-2 minutes before applying Paula's Choice or CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum (alternate between the two).
I hope these suggestions help.
Ohh thank you so much Melissa, Your suggestions are really awesome.. Love you from bottom of my heart ❤️

Do you have any advice to me regarding using these on daily basis?
I decided to use Hyaluronic Acid + b5 and Niacinamide today as a first-timer hopefully I made the right call hehe
Hey, well, you got great products. However, it may be a bit heavy when using the rosehip seed oil in the morning. And since you have dry skin, it may be best to ass a moisturizer in the morning as the last step.

Cleanser
Hyaluronic Acid
Amino Acids + B5
Niacinamide
Moisturizer (Maybe The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors)
SPF
PM:
Cleanser
Hyaluronic Acid
Niacinamide
Rosehip Seed Oil
It’s recommended using no more than 3 serum formulations in a single routine for optimal skin penetration.
About 2-3 drops of each serum and 1 pea-sized amount of creams should be enough for the full face and neck.
Use a "patting" application method, as opposed to "rubbing."
Always apply sunscreen when you are exposed to the sun!!

@@Khalid_Alharthi39 One more thing that I would like to add is that some people struggle with Niacinamide's application. It may be too much when using it in the morning and evening. Personally, I haven't had any issues, but based on my comments, a lot of people seem to have.

Is it normal for the hyaluronic acid to slightly foam up when rubbing it with the hands?
Yes, it does it a bit. If you want to reduce it, use less products like 1-3 drops and pat it into the skin instead of rubbing.
Hi, I like your video. I just bought the ordinary support set. Can i use my sunscreen and moisturizer on top of this in the morning. ?
Hmm, I am not aware of that set. What does it include?
Hello! Can you help me on how to apply these serums?
•niacinamide 10 + zinc
• hyaluronic acid
• lactic acid 10%
• NMF
Hey😊
AM Routine:
- Cleanse
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Niacinamide
- NMF
- SPF
PM Routine:
- Cleanse
- Lactic Acid (1-3 times per week in the beginning)
- Hyaluronic Acid
- NMF
The general rule of thumb for order of application is:
1. Water-based serums
2. Anhydrous Solutions and Oil Formulations
3. Lotions & Creams & suspensions
Important:
If you have more than one water-based serum, you can apply based on the priority of your concern (the product that targets the most important concern should go first).
With any new formulation, some sensitivity or initial redness can be normal. Initial redness upon application is not a cause for concern if it goes away after a few moments. ❤
Niacinamide can be used in conjunction with retinoids sunscreens, hydroxy acids, and other ingredients without concern for cross-reactivity.
NMF is the “natural moisturizing factors + HA” right?😅 sorry I’m so new to this!

also, i was thinking of switching to the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser but idk if i should🥺
Your routine(s) look great!🥰
Have you already use the products like this, or have you just ordered them, and that's the routine?😊
Also, if you have oily skin, it is not necessary to use a moisturizer (you may just want to use one if you experience some dryness) otherwise, you can skip it!
Also, depending on for how long you have been using this routine and the retinoid, you could also use the retinoid after the peeling solution!
If you like Cetaphil, I recommend getting the Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing bar! - I love that one a lot! - which btw, foams too!

Very helpful. Thank you 👏👏👏👏👏❤️
This is exactly what I was looking for!
Hi lovely. Can I use this while using de la cruz sulphur cream as spot treatment, and if yes, how?
Yes. Well, after cleansing you are applying your Sulfur Cream and leave it on the skin for 10min and then rinse it off and after that you can continue with the rest of your routine...serum and moisturiser (if needed).
Do I need to wait 30 minutes after apply TO niacinamide before apply moisturizer?
No, apply Hyaluronic Acid and/or Niacinamide after each other and let it soak into the skin and then move on to your moisturizer😊

Hi Melissa, I put 2 drops of niacinamide and 2 of HA in my hand, rub together and put on my face. Am I doing wrong?
I appreciate your hard work. God please you always 🌷
Thank you!😍
What is the point of applying 2-3drops to you hands and then just pat , i feel like all the product is wasted in between you hands .just apply one drop directly on your face and then press it gently

Hi Melissa your video was very helpful for me im using this products first time..can i use hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in am routine and hyaluronic acid in pm.
Hello Asmita, yes, you can :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet lots of love from Nepal❤️😘
For example: ua-cam.com/video/Tfi9IWjzA-8/v-deo.html
You really can't count on a serum to have enough moisture in it for HA, as opposed to a moisturizer with the ingredient.

Hii! Thank you for this video! I've decided to incorporate the Hyaluronic Acid one into my skin care routine. I don't use many products but:
- Cerave SA cleanser
- Cerave SA moisturizer
- The Ordinary Niacinamide (the one in the video)
- The Ordinary Peeling Solution AHA 30% + BHA 2% (once a week)
And I've just bought the Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary.

Thanks for this video! Anyway on 3.23: i thought we should always have to put moisturizer on top to protect the serum?

I was trying to communicate with my dermatologist but due to current situation they're accepting only patience with emergency so I couldn't get an appointment. I'm heading to watch the video that you mentioned in your comment. Thanks again! ❤️

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Maybe some help on how to use Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin?
Great suggestion! I will do a video in the next days!
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet OMG thank you so much! You are helping me a lot!
Step- 1st purito cleanser
2nd - ordinary caffeine eye serum
3rd -Ordinary lactic serum/ wishtrend mandelic acid toner (1 or 2 times a week)
4th - Niacinamide serum (the ordinary) (2 times a week)
5th- Squalane oil (good molecule) OR The ordinary hyaluronic +B5 serum
6th- Benton aloe propolis gel moisturiser
Is this the correct order?
XOXO Love from INDIA🇮🇳❤
Yes it is :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Great. Thanks so much.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you so much 🎉
Hey!! Thank you for guiding me to this video.
Can I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid and niacinimide in the morning, and when I do how long do I wait in between before applying the two products.
My second question is can I just use mandelic acid at night? So those in the morning and mandelic acid at night.
Thank you!!
Yes, that's fine.
Wait between 30sec to 1 minute! :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet must I use the hyaluronic acid and niacinimide in a specific order or just any order?
@@feralsteven5189 In any order is fine! :)
Hi thanks for the video
Can I apply glycolic Acid 7% toning solution before apply these 2 products?
yes, apply it before.
You’re amazing 🎉
You go to the point!!
Thank you!🥰
I have a very oily and a bit dry skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet i will check for two more days and if it is the same then will take a break. Thank you so much 😊😊
Hi mellisa
Great video again
Can you use niacinamide and retinol serum and HA in sane routing on evening?
Thanksss
Yes, I replied to your other comment. Additional information:
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells.
Melissa Van Dijk thank you Melissa this is great help !
