I think of Beginnings, Endings, and Cycles like plate spinners. Beginnings sets the plates spinning, then Cycles picks and keeps however many it wants to / can keep spinning, and then when it can’t or won’t keep a plate spinning any more, Endings steps in to bring it to a natural close and prevents the plate from smashing to the floor.
