He loves the history and methods to create something and put it on a film. He looks fascinated from the process of making a film. He worked and is still working through years of changing in the cinema industry and he thinks about it, wondering, remembering, trying to understand how all of we lost and all we gained change us too. He's not a movie star, he's a man who does his job, he loves his job and he thinks about his life that is also made of his works. If only every actors worked like him, like every others members of a crew! I appreciate Keanu. I've always done, I'll always do.

That aside , in the case of Drive I have to agree with you, its very very close to film. Much to the credit of the Arri Alexa they used, i think its the best digital camera outthere. Roger Deakins uses the alexa m on skyfall and it also looks quite stunning.

If one watched film development ,such as behind the scenes we see that things diligently are put together. Is it due to the complexity of what public is now expecting on screne?
Its just a part of passing of time. Yes, photography and videography has moved on to digital. You can't help it, its just the evolution of the technology. It's like the tube tv's with an antenna back in the day. You won't get to see that anymore because now its flat screen, led plasma tv which took over it. So, we just have to move on and adapt to changes for the better, but it is also good to appreciate the past
