"this wood is dirt cheap" ::laughs in 2021::
*Laughs in first time home buyer* :(
@@Kevinbaconator_ oh man, I feel you on that one hahah
That’s if you can even get your hands on it!
This is genius. I hate having to move everything around or running super long cables across the room. But the monitors were always too far away. This ia very well done
nice job bud, it works for you and your space, and that's the main thing. i like the idea for the triple mount, i'm using a projector at the minute, but i think i fancy triples for the emersion when money permits. enjoy, and stay safe.
good job, Im basically doing or thinking about a similar setup. Thanks for the content.
Lovely guy, great job, lovely and sturdy and looked great mate, health n wealth to you
You are such an insperation. Great work
what a setup, i love it. greetings from germany
I made an even more basic wooden rig with the leather seat out my s14 200sx but bolted it on so I can adjust the seat forward and back with the normal seat rail. Your Monitor stand idea seems decent! I currently have mine sat on the desk kind of like yours is before you move it into position but I think I am too far away when set up, I have a video drifting in Assetto if you want to take a look. Good video, thanks for sharing!
Good job! I am busy building something similar as I too prefer to have my triple monitors on a desk. Great idea to have your monitors slide. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you! Good luck with your build
Paint it all mate black, and you have a Top Elite Setup, it is practical, sturdy, and amazing.
Very nice work
finally painted it! going to upload a progress video soon
Thanks for the sim racing rig inspiration!
Amazing, love it!
Excellent job 👍🏼 I built something very similar but using 2 x 6s and I made reverse supports for the diagonals. I used 4” and 1” wood screws and glue. It can handle a DD2 at 100% and still solid as a rock. The under downside is the weight. It’s on Reddit if you ever wanna take a look. There is still people that can’t believe a wood rig can withstand a DD without flex.
I'll have to check it out. Been wanting a DD but was hesitant. Nothing like dropping 1k on a wheel base, to find out you need another 1k for the rig.
@@Kevinbaconator_ I think I have the same name on Reddit, look for direct drive on wooden rig
Real Man build their own rig :) Excellent work Man!
Thank you!
very good diy 👌
Thanks for sharing
So less likes and reactions for such a good solution.
Well done!
Thank you, as long as it helps 1 person I'm happy

this really inspired me, thanks a lot man. really needed this! would you mind sharing the box dimensions at least? just for me to start off!
Long side is 53" short side is 21" (if you mean the box frame the seat and pedals sit in. 2"x10" wood
I love the monitor stand. Not very elegant, but very practical.
Haha you've got that right, thank you!
AWESOME build!! 👍👍👍
Small correction: that's NOT plywood - it's OSB (Oriented Strand Board), which isn't as strong as plywood.
Haha You're absolutely right, old habits die hard. Thank you though!
Good engineering design! What size monitor are those?
Thank you! 27"
im trying to figure out how to do a similar monitor setup to move my triple screens closer to my sim, I might mount a telescoping tv stand to my wall and mount my triple screen mount to that somehow
Not a bad idea. Would just keep an eye on the weight recommendations for the mount
What ideas u have so we improve this? Would want to build like this but easier push pull on monitor like a drawer style.
Before I speak to my contractor.
Thanks for sharing. Are these 24" or 27" monitors?
27" dells
After watching this video, I love to try out to make mine soon.
It's been an year for being uploaded though,
I'd like to hear your wood rig and triple monitor stand is still good to use so far.
I hope mine would last over 2 or 3 years. What do you think?
So I actually upgraded to a standalone triple monitor stand after using this for about a year.
It held up just fine for the first year, but I can't vouch for 2-3 years.
My current DIY stand is going extremely strong. I have another video showing that off if you're interested.
@@Kevinbaconator_ I'd watched the standalone triple monitor stand. What an incredible idea! It's been strong enough to go one year. Why not try one. Thank you for your share and commends :) Your vids help me alot to get ideas. Thanks again.
are those 24' or 27' screens? this is nice, well done!
27" thank you!
woooooooooooooh, its been a couple of months im finding for a perferct build for my situationm and this ticks all my requirements, you saved me a lot of money.
BTW, can you link me the stand or any will do?
1. I work from home
2. play MnK games
3. have simracing rig.
i'd say any stand will do. then you can just build a small frame out of 2x4s with wheels to move it around on, and adjust the height to your desk. The stand is also custom.
how far your eyes to the monitor? and what size are ur monitor.
27" monitors and around 26" from screen to my eyes.
What monitor arms did you use

So. Many. Cantalevers!
yer u notice after years of hard drifting and rallying the wood splitting stay with metal
are these 24" monitors?
27"
What monitor is?
They are D2719HGF’s from Dell
Decepticon or Autobot?
Nice job. I like your teeth. What size are your monitors?
Lmaoo 27"
hey, at least one other person isn't dumb and realizes what materials to use. there are too many videos on this where people dont know what damn screws to use. my wood rig is strong enough for any wheel
