VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Jessy and her cat Moonchi live in her 1978 Dodge Commander. She has been living the nomad life for about 3 years and has no plans of stopping anytime soon. Her desire to live the modern nomad life lead her to write an online book, which is a guide that answers many questions about the lifestyle on the road. She loves sharing her passion with others and even offers to coach people who are thinking about transitioning into this lifestyle over the phone. In addition to her entrepreneurial adventures, Jessy recently renovated her RV and updated the interior and made some much needed mechanic repairs. How awesome is that, right?!! She now has a full bathroom complete with a shower, composting toilet, and plenty of additional storage; a newly designed bedroom with a queen sized bed; and a kitchen that has a full sized refrigerator and oven range. Her tiny home on wheels has practically everything that a traditional home has. With a rig like this, why not go tiny, see the world, and live the adventurous life.
Jessy's thoughts on going tiny, where there is a will, there is a way and don't let fear be the reason you don't go after your dreams. Wishing you all the best on your many adventures to come, Jessy!

What a beautiful spirit. Human Being free. Rare.
0p⁰
Everyone has a beautiful spirit . and it's not rare .
She is living “life”. She has less than others but seems happier:) watching from Thailand
The less you have the more you appreciate what you have at most.
Josh yes indeed!!
S Chao I totally agree!
Chellios RGS more freedom around. It’s true!
When you have what you love you have everything 😉
Jessy is a true inspiration for those looking to hit the road. No excuses, just moving forward regardless of the curveballs her rig throws at her!
I saw a video of her a while ago , and its great to see her again !!
I've been on the road in my not quite built out bus since November, and I'd hit a slump. Thank you for sharing Jessy and her rig; I feel inspired again 🥰
I’m glad to see an update on her :-)
I have been wanting to do that. Lived in an RV as a kid on beach. Coming closer.
Wait. Are you single?
Crazy clean for a 1978 RV. Even the engine looked spotless. May your life be a life worth living!
I know right, I was thinking did she clean that engine with a toothbrush?
Chiming in on type of video i normally dont chime in on BUT... this lady is awesome and no matter what , she is doing her. Living humble and living the way SHE CHOOSES TO FEEL. And this is why i speak on it, seen like 200 plus dislikes and how can you dislike on what she is doing? Anyone not approving on how this woman is living? Is a fool and exactly the type of person i do not f_c% with. Dont know you lady but u r awesome, and keep doing you 🙏
I remember seeing her first tour a couple years ago. I’m glad she stuck with it and did the amazing upgrades. But I’m not shocked. She came across as very capable then and still inspiring now.
How exciting to see Jessy again! I’ve wondered what happened to her. She looks so much like my 17 year old granddaughter, it’s uncanny! My husband and I just bought a gently used motorhome and am personalizing it now. Can’t wait to get on the road. Happy trails, Miss Jessy!
Stay near water sources plz! I walked 20 miles in the desert when my truck broke down, it is not a good feeling being alone with few resources! I hope you have a great radio system, it help with peace of mind!
👍
Was it up hill both ways?
She has a motorbike to go get help in case her Commander broke down. Her RV probably has tens of gallons of fresh water. 2:00 and it sounds like she could do engine repair herself.
i don't think she is alone. who is taking her instagram pictures dn
Sudarshan Singh Ashiya you don’t need someone with you to take pictures. There is such thing as tripods with remotes for taking the photo, as well as timers....or a random passerby. She’s alone on the road.
My grandparents had a commander when I was a baby/kid in the 70’s. Great memories.
Such a breath of fresh air you are! So many of these rv folks have piles of cash laying around and tour the high places and seem to run from place to place to place. I prefer simple and easy. I am almost set to launch! You are an inspiration to me. I hope you are still out there! Peace!
You’re so amazing and inspiring! I hope to retire and live off grid. Thank you for sharing!!

The current "liberal arts degree graduates" (lol) can't exactly walk into a Native American reservation, steal the land, chase the "locals" away in Trails of Tears, and start building houses...

I'm in love!!!! 😍😍😍 Like with her, her lifestyle, her energy! Everything wow! Even the cat is 😎!
So stylish! Now I know this isn't as simple as it seems, but she sure makes it look that way! Love that she's learned how to change the oil, etc. Very empowering! New subscriber here!! -Val
If this woman went on a speaking tour, I’d love to hear her stories. I love listening to her speak. You’re an inspiration to young women everywhere!
@RR Continued Its Jamie Davies I live in the UK could move to the USA get my own independent flat like I've got here in the UK RR Continued my friend?
@@largemarge1603 I agree. After one minute I had to move on.
Well spoken easy to follow and inspiring this captured my imagination
Nice to see someone fixing up an older motor home. They so often just sit and rot. Loved the little enduro bike.
I love to see this as well. My first motorcycle was a yellow Honda trail 90, looked just like hers. It was a great little bike. Wish I still had it.
I love her RV. Looks in amazing shape for the age. Keep on truckin' Jessy :)
Good for you young lady.
Be careful out there traveling alone. Have fun and thank you for sharing your journey.
✌🏻🇺🇸
That DX959 and Panasonic radio fit nicely into the Commander, are also quality devices. CB radio is probably an original equipment. Well made demonstration ...

This woman has integrity, she is impressive.
You and your kitty are inspiring! I wish you the best!
Beautiful she is, her RV is and the cat. Keep rocking it girl
Yes, I noticed your "Never Ending Story" reference in your former kitty's name. Sorry for your loss!
One of my favorite movies! 😁
that poor horse :(
Either that or she's a fan of '00s emocore.
i love the way she talks about emotions like fears and going out of her comfort zone to experience more to life..thats awesome..and she has a cat too!!..totally pawsome!!
Is it just me because I think this woman is beautiful.
she is a babe n a half
She's bomb👍
She is!!!
Casting done right.
Not only is she pretty, but self sufficient, independent and intelligent!
What a wise young person, she is truly living with less and seeing so much of her country. Hopefully she will take to the road and see Nova Scotia & all of Canada's Atlantic Provinces one day. For her traveling in her camper a Canadian adventure would be best in the Spring, Summer & Fall. She strikes me as extremely soulful & spiritual which means I can see her attending a milling frolic at Keltic Colors on Cape Breton Island, Canada. Wherever she travels may kind people come out to see her and to be her angles & guides.
Hi..I love your comander . I also spotted that beautiful hand made crocheted blanket .I'm a crocheter from 30 yrs plus ..I so love to watch on you tube all these lovley people like your self doing what you love best ..is travelling being free do what ever and not worry about the stresses of life in a house rented ..be freeee .this is what me and hubbie want to do.. to save what we can and do a rebuild 40 foot bus and be very comfortable. free just time away from our 2 other older children ..were never ever had a holiday and were been married 33 yrs this yr ...these videos are just so uplifting to me.. I so love all the different ways and things people do with there homes on wheels ...keep safe and enjoy your life ..🐕💖🐈⬛
Love the layout and how it looks. You did a good job
* great
As soon as she called her home Mander knew that I had seen her before, so glad to know that she is alright and still on the road.
Videos like this have been SUPER inspiring. I’m renovating an old Hi-lo trailer and filming it for UA-cam. If you guys come out to the east coast next year, say hi.
You did a nice job, looks very nice. And you took care of the mechanicals which too many people neglect.
Resourceful, self sufficient, smart and positive....girl power❤
Thanks for saying that about the fear It’s something I needed to hear. I use to be so brave and independent. I got really stressed out and started having anxiety attacks trying to overcome them so I can get back on the road thank you!
Me too and sometimes I can't even believe how courageous I used to be
overall a very becoming lady - she has brains and looks but more importantly she understands that life is not the grind rather it is the freedom to choose how to live each day
Why is her "having looks" necessary?

Updated:
I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living.
I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc.
People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living.
I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself.
Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this.
I feel that you , and others UA-camrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful.
I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors.
I shared this with another traveler as I watched their UA-cam channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others.
Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience.
Although, you may have knowledge of this already,
I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone.
*Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle.
You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage
Do your research for the best fit for you
Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables.
Consider theses items:
*Mini portable power charging station.
I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices.
*Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell reception,
Research to see what you prefer.
*Very Inportant:
Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location.
There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating or camping situations.
*Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders.
Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone.
You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you.
*Mini portable vehicle battery charger-( portable vehicle battery jumper cables )
*Vehicle Jumper cables
*Keep a Fire extinguisher handy
Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly.
Exterior vehicle cameras
Interior vehicle cameras
*Flashlights or pluggin spotlights
*Portable spotlights, and lanterns
Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console
*A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies.
Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons.
Don’t forget to bring
Bear Spray
Pepper spray
Where is allowed
Keep in contac with your family, friends, keep them updated etc.
Although, I just noticed your UA-cam channel, and other similar channels.
You seem Very Aware of your surroundings and Alert, and you may be aware of many of these suggestions, however, I Don’t know, so I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions.
Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions.
Keep your vehicle gas filled
Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty.
Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on.
Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors.
Keep Enjoying Yourself,
Keep Enjoying the outdoors, and Nature
Just..Please continue to
Be Positive, Safe, and Alert..
Wishing Success, Well-being and Happiness You All.
God Bless You, and everyone

@crutksdub I don't think so. who took her photos on instagram ?
@crutksdub LOL... my kids also knew this.
but while riding bike, at distance but camera is moving slightly, and pin point focus, perfect camera angles and many more things that i have noticed. that looks like someone else is taking her picture. not every picture but some many of them that looks professional.
@crutksdub you can see her friends in so many pictures. now don't say that those are dummies 😂🤪
@Life with Timothy Bullshit!
Her voice is super soothing to me for some reason.💯
Me too!
Me three!
Great job on your RV renovation. You’re doing what a lot of people wish they’d done when younger. You go girl!! Enjoy life but DON’T totally ignore fear. Fear will keep you alive in “stressful” situations! Listen to the little voice inside. When in doubt- don’t!!! Not trying to sound negative, but have a personal protection plan for whatever new situation you are exploring. A sidearm and some training with it would add more safety to whatever you explore. At least some bear spray and/or hornet spray. Unfortunately there are “things” other than bears or hornets that may require its use. Stay safe and pay attention to what’s around you at all times. Good luck 🍀
Love the interior and how you made it work for you.
Gotta say love that old rig.
More than 20 years ago, a friend and I were obsessed with the Commander RV. If we saw one on the road we would salute it. You are living the dream, well done!
A woman who appreciates a clean golden manifold, there is hope for the world.
nooo... there's no appreciation here. she just paid someone to clean the bike before she shot a short clip of salt flats.. a real rider would be telling these stories in a bar with no video evidence to speak of..
@@nicholaiginovaef4861 He's talking about the RV's intake manifold. That's nothing about the cub.
The Tina Fey book cancels that out.
@@nicholaiginovaef4861 not only did you get the comment wrong, but your reply is nonsensical. A real rider? She lives full time in a camper and uses a bike to get places. Just admit that you derive your identity from dumb shit - like riding a motorcycle - and that this woman has outclassed you at all the things you value.
Is that a Holley carb? I am jealous. My Quadrajet was a nightmare to keep tuned.
My jaw dropped when I saw the Commander in the thumbnail! That was the motorhome my family used growing up. ❤️
Kudos to her - also watching from Thailand...
...Ma'am, I am impressed!...Safe travels!...
I would be so afraid that having a bus that old and putting so much $$$ into a bus and something happen. But its such a great idea!
Why? As long as the mechanicals are maintained, theres no issue with how old these are. Main difference between old and new RV’s is the older ones are made out of heavier (better) materials. And its still much cheaper to throw money into an older rig than buying a newer one. A similar rig would easily run her upwards of 80k.
She’ll never have that much into this.
Hi, saw your last post, so I,m Impressed with the upgrades and cosmetic enhancements. The cabinets look so cool, really nice, and the bike looks fun too. Keep on trucking gal. 🥰🥰🥰 xxx ( from SE England UK)
Stay strong!!! Do consider doing park hosting. I'm in SW WA and the State & DNR are always looking for volunteers in exchange for full hookup. That's been my savings time not to mention living in some really cool places and meeting more nomadics!
Oh, I can totally see myself going with that.
The RV is nice too.
Love to see that love is in yourself
I tuned in because I saw a RV going across desert/salt flats and all I thought of was the movie Independence Day.
😂
..thought it was 'Raising the Arizona'...lol
same!
Or perhaps, "From Dusk till Dawn?" ;-)

this ones called Independance Girl!!
Oh my goodness I love everything in this video...I love her style, lifestyle, her rv, kitty cat and the Dino on the dashboard! I want an rv like this too! Very fun
One of the most beautiful conversions I have seen in an RV. (And I have seen a lot). Simple, clean, just lovely!
Hat's off to anyone who can keep an old Dodge on the road.
Love your camper. Its brilliant you fixed your engine. I love the spot you were filmed. Where is that?. Love your lifestyle.
Love the update. Glad to see her still living in her mander!
I wish I could find someone like her; she's gorgoeus, she's smart, she lives in RV, and most importantly, she has a cat...
Make that two cats.
Indeed. She has a nice midriff too!
The girl and her Commander and adventure kitties has been one of my favorite instagram pages to follow. Not only her ideas on life and travel, but also the brave way she tackles all her mechanical and restorations on her home. A lot of others would quit were she hits them head on and conquers lol her challenges she faces. Great story.
the name alone and square square design of RV is masculined enough to a ruggedness who will live here ... and the desert settings adds more hardness solving the equation ... particularly climate and distance ...
I really injoyed your video and that you help people. Your RV is nice and bright and decorated. I had to move back home. So I have a RV small trailer and it's parked in my parents driveway. I stay in it. Have you herd of adults doing that? The guy I got it from didn't tell everything and now I'm finding out almost a year later I got a lemon. I don't have much money to do the repairs and my parents are elderly and can't do much
Good attitude. I wish for my daughter to do this.
Just have to say you are such an inspiration to us everyone . You make me feel happy , very hard to do . You are truly living ,not existing
I am soooo glad your still in your RV, you give me hope 😁
Girl, you are living my dream and thank you for the inspirational "kick-in-the-a**" to up my game on making it happen asap in my own life. I actually bought a 1984 Volkswagen Westfalia camper van back in 2009. My plans are, much like you, to modify a jet ski trailer that l have and purchase a dual-sport 650cc motorcycle to tow along for all the "excursions" from wherever l'm camping out at. Alaska is my number 1 destination. Hope to make it happen this year. (If they can get this "virus-thing" under control! Wish me luck! Loved your story! Thanks for sharing!!!
I love the FREAK Flag. Your motorcycle is a CT model. My father owns one from 1970. They are collector's items. Live large sweet lady.

You're an amazing beautiful lady . ~ HEART of GOLD ~
God bless you 🙏🏼

Jessy is a class act and seems very grounded. She is well read and oh yea, also quite beautiful inside and out! Godspeed Jessy
Outstanding job. I would live in it just fine. Need the bike to. Enjoy!!
Those old Honda trail 90 are way reliable you can practically run it without oil and they still make basically that same motor today
It’s refreshing to see people such as yourself to recycle the old rigs that are fully capable of giving you everything you need to go full time. So many van lifers are spending upwards of a month 100k and still don’t have all the features your older recycled rig has to offer. These older rigs are all over waiting for people such as yourself to invest your time and energies and save so so so much money !!
Amazing girl! And you’re beautiful too... I’m getting ready to take on this lifestyle, I’d love to meet ya someday. Peace.
Simple and happy, that is life's ultimate goal right?
Yes, if all you want is happiness for yourself, there are many cheap and simple ways of achieving that.
The locale appears to be the Black Rock Desert or the Bonneville Salt Flats, (of course they are the only two Playa like locations I am acquainted with so hence those guesses,)
I have a 1972 Dodge Harvest motor home. Cab over model. I have never seen another one like it. I bought a for $300 ten years ago. Maybe they are all gone. I know finding an owner manual would be almost impossible. It’s only 20 feet long. I have seen several commanders.
Love your place. I'm so proud of you. Good advice, "Don't let fear dictate your life".. Awesomeness
The desert scenery and your rig reminds me of Randy Quaid hauling full speed to kick some alien ass in the movie Independence Day. Pretty cool!

This is the second time I've seen a video of her and her rig. She is one badass lady! ☺️
So sorry to hear about your cat Atreyu! Was he named after the character from Never Ending Story?
I wish I was braver. I literally have imagined living in a very similar RV. I was camping and traveling almost every summer as an only child back in the day in new mobile homes just like hers. Unfortunately I am a product of my parents and I was raised to plan ahead to avoid "bumps" in the road. My dad hated thinking that our new mobile home would break down so every year he bought a brand new one.
I want to be her and just pack my furry kids into a house on wheels and live my true bohemian lifestyle. That's my other persona that nobody knows.
She is so brave in so many ways. I got anxious when she said she painted the engine block gold. 😬😯 My mind was racing that something might happen to it because it's that proper engine colour.
I wished I could take a pill to get over this perfectionism.
Live your BEST LIFE GIRLFRIEND for all your gals that are out here living vicariously through you.

Hope u get there. I can relate.
@DrBill No but I get where you think that. 😊
Cyndy, I like how you think. Best of luck.
What's the worst that could happen, what bump in the road could you not overcome?
You said your dad bought a new one every year? You should just borrow some money from your dad he is obviously fucking loaded. You then to just buy a condo on the beach and stay there.
Very resourcefull you are. Curious about your motor, and your experiance's with it, size, repairs, fuel use, etc.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing! 💥👍🏻🙏🏻
My excuse right now is financial. I’ve already confronted my biggest fear conquered it, being homeless. I thought getting a class c but leaning towards a 5th wheel, travel trailer or a very spacious truck camper. Jessy should start her own videos on UA-cam. Jessy you’re gorgeous on top all of your renovating skills.
I just escaped that life style. Homelessness is not something to be aspired to. It greatly compromises life quality. It should be avoided not sought.
A empowering way to truly learn to know thyself and embracing the unknown adventures in life. Great build, thanks guys for sharing the journey. Cool cat

How did you end up just doing it?! I have the opportunity to go on the road with my friend but I’m scared
