Love it. I am still driving and restoring my 1990 Fleetwood Limited. I repowered it from EFI 460 & 3 speed to a 5.9l 12 valve Cummins with an Allison 1000 5 speed. Went from 6 mpg to 13 mpg. Added solar, 9 outside cameras to help with driving and security, a big screen pop-up tv movie theater recliners, surround sound ect ect. There is took much to list since I bought it in 1997. Love these old restored rigs.
That’s awesome. We’ve been to a handful of RV shows and the newer rigs are really cool but we would have to spend $250,000 to get anything we’d rather have than our old girl!
I just bought a 1996 Fleetwood Bounder. It is going into the shop to have all the fluids changed. Then, I will have the engine and transmission checked. Found out that it rolls while in park, even with the emergency brake on. After those are done, I will have the generator and tanks tested to make sure all is in working order. I like the changes you have made. It has brightened the inside so much. Making it look almost new again.
Kudos on the new coach my friend. You're making all the right choices having everything checked out and addressed before any major trips. Let me know if you have any questions or there is anything I can do to help!
I stumbled across your channel at the right time. We have a 1997 Coachmen 34' Class A that we have used for years. We decided that this will be the year to renovate it instead of traveling. We are just in the planning and phase right now. It's a good thing we're retired. I foresee many hours working on the old RV in the near future.
I’m glad you’ve joined the channel, welcome! You’ll have a great time working on it. Just remember, no decision is worth getting in a big argument over.
Beautiful remodel! We have at ‘92 diesel pusher that’s a work in progress. Currently the roof is about 80% removed (I think we bit off more than we could chew) lol, but once that’s done we can move to the inside. Really, really like how homey your “bus” is.
Debbie trust me, I know how that feels. I promise if you just keep at it, you’ll have a home on wheels before you know it. It’s like eating an elephant, one bite at a time. Thanks for watching!
Thanks buddy, it’s been a great learning experience. I plan on doing a full van build when we settle somewhere and this really gave me the confidence to jump in.
I had a 91 Bounder on the Chevy p30 chassis, it was a nightmare to drive with wind and passing trucks. Also, the gvw was not much more than the empty weight and could be overloaded real easy. Replaced it with a freightliner diesel pusher and that made a world of difference both driving and not even coming close to overloading it.
Solid chassis on these. Make sure to carry a spare ignition module for the distributor. Easy fix for a common failure on the p30. It fails because of heat buildup.
We are replacing the roof with a new membrane and all new vent covers. Also solar 1800 watts and have 4-100 lithium batteries we have the 5500 generator onboard. Fingers crossed.
If you haven’t done it yet instead of upgrading your tv put a projector screen there with a projector the new ones have great picture and you save the room
How are you sir. I just want to thank you once again. Your videos are tremendously helped and I went ahead and used the Flex Seal on my roof as well. It worked like a charm and I really really really really really really appreciate the advice. Have a great day and God bless

Hey great job on the renovation! You mentioned that you replaced the gas struts that hold up your cabinet doors. They looked really nice in the video. Would you mind sharing a link for those? Thanks!
Finally found a video of a Rv like we have acquired - great job and it gives me hope that my 94 Fleetwood Southwind can be renovated - I’m wondering about some of the derails such as did the inside wall surface have to be redone ? Such as the wall board? I have some damage but not sure how to fix the actual wall board? What about the mechanical systems such as plumbing? Electrical ? U mentioned about the tank monitors for example as well. What about the leveling jack system ?
Anthony, we found some white plastic type material at Lowe’s that worked well for our wall covering. Our plumbing was in good shape and so was the electrical. Nothing major to address. We didn’t have jacks so no worries there either

honestly, we didn't know. You can get a pretty good idea of where stuff is with common logic, but we were taking some chance. One of the nice things about having an older coach, is they are a lot less complicated. Less wiring running in walls, less moving pieces...
Could you tell me where the hydraulic fluid goes for the jacks on this unit my family just gave me this and I don't have a clue and there's nobody that can help me thank you
That's a tough one because we don't have hydraulic jacks. We used leveling blocks under the wheels and simply drove up onto them as needed. Sorry I couldn't be of service. We did not, but I would highly suggest using a bonding primer first, really helps the paint hold onto the wood cabinetry

It isn’t an RV Couch, it’s from IKEA.

Nothing major so far, just some oil changes and an alignment.

where did u get the outdoor rug
Walmart actually

How many tires again?

How many MPG do you get?
It really depends on the scenario, we’ve seen as good as 12-14 on flat roads, no TOAD and tailwinds. We’ve seen as bad at 5-6 mpg when we are towing and into headwinds.
Luckily we don’t make long jumps all at one time, so we don’t go through that much gas only moving once a week or so and typically only 20-60 minutes down the road.
