'65 Mustang at Brands Hatch Indy (Session 1) - 16 June 20

With the lockdown gradually easing, motorsport test days are gearing up again. We took our Mustang to join the Masters Historic Racing test day at Brands Hatch Indy circuit. A beautiful day with a sunny and warm morning with some drizzle in the afternoon. Gorgeous cars and a great opportunity to get some track action.

looking good, well done. nice to see the blue one i built in the late 90s is back out again.. you could be quicker with the right diff ratio

That blue one is seriously fast. Nigel Greensall was doing some of the driving in it and it’s definitely up there with the best of them. Should have known it was one of yours!! 😆 I’ll talk to the boys about the diff ratio - makes sense

Great vid, looks a lot of fun! I thought the minis/cortinas would be quicker round the Indy circuit. What is a top Mustang time? Looks like a 57.7 ish?

Thanks! It was soo much fun! We also thought the minis and cortinas would rule the BH Indy but apparently not... And right on the money! Our best time on the day was 57.7 (knackered Dunlop racing tyres). Would be amazed if a Mustang got below 57s.
